“I applied to all of the Big 4 for 2027 full-time positions in NYC. So far, I’ve been rejected by EY for Audit, PwC for Tax, and KPMG for Tax. Deloitte (Audit) is the only one left, and it’s also the firm where I have the strongest connection with the recruiter. The Deloitte recruiter gave me a chance to revise my resume because I secured a winter internship after I had already submitted my application, so I want to update it with that experience. I’m a career switcher and don’t have much relevan”

“Hey everyone! I’m in my 3rd year of university doing a BBA in Accounting. I’m doing a 4-month work term this winter and have been offered a position in Private Enterprise Audit at KPMG and US Corporate Tax at Grant Thornton. I enjoyed my GT interview more than my KPMG interview, and I’ve also really enjoyed my tax classes. I’m currently taking an audit class and so far I’m not sure if audit is really my thing. I’ve attended some GT events and really liked the people I met there. However, I’ve se”

Go with Deloitte. They have better internal controls and training

“I have worked for both. Did a busy season COOP term at KPMG and worked 2+ years at Deloitte. I would say Deloitte for two reasons. One is they have better brand recognition outside audit. You will find that very few people are familiar with KPMG outside the accounting/consulting world. However, you will find that more people are familiar with Deloitte. Second, in my opinion, their technology is way better than KPMG. Good technology matters a lot when you are stressed under pressing deadlines. Ov”

“I checked online and there are no openings for summer/fall 2027 for kpmg and pwc audit associate role. Will these roles be released in the future or is everything open right now all that will be released. submitted by /u/Jarekor [link] [comments]”

“I have completed 7/13 , sitting for AA this sep and after the exam thinking to apply for internship. Im really confused on whether to choose outsourcing firm or nepali auditing firm for my practical experience requirement . My goal is to go abroad after i finish my ACCA . People say bahira jani vaye outsourcing ma kaam gara but the biggest fear is the limited working scope and to be honest I think just accounts and tax filing for whole 3 years won’t be credible enough as compared to a good audit”

“I have to choose between two grad roles one is in Audit and the other is in Finance and Economics Consulting (both big4) but Consulting is in a worse city. I really like accounting and love the idea of Audit. But I feel like consulting is generally seen of as better. I would love to do Audit and transition into Corporate Finance/M&A but I don’t know if it might be easier to transition from the Consulting role to M&A. Also even if I don’t do M&A - audit seems like it has so much more”

“Fresh grad here, non-CPA, looking into Big 4 opportunities outside assurance. Honestly, I have no idea what their day to day looks like. From what I understand, SGV (local EY) BES is more focused on internal finance and supporting engagement teams while KPMG FDD seems more client-facing and transaction/advisory-oriented for M&A and due diligence. Questions: 1. Which role would give a fresh grad a stronger foundation in business processes and finance? Which one gives better exit opportunities”

“Torn between the two. As a freshie na mahina ang foundation sa parehas field, baka makahingi po ng opinion sa inyo which one yung mas mag gogrow professionally and mas malawak yung opportunity in the future? Yes atvthe end of the day ako padin yung tatanungin if kaya ko ba pero i really need some options po 🥹 Thank youu soo muchh🥹 submitted by /u/lifeisfairmaybe [link] [comments]”

“I’m finishing up my audit internship at a midsize firm very soon. I’m still not feeling entire secure in it and have thoughts about switching to tax. I’ve done VITA for the past three years and did an informal internship at a small income tax business earlier this year. I did like it overall. Bringing this up to a recruiter will def end my chances of getting a return offer. They mentioned that I would have to apply for a winter tax internship or a staff position for tax. I’m graduating in May. I”

“22F and I’m planning to sign the offer for an Internal Auditor position. I have an accounting major, completed my internship at a public firm and was very much involved with external audit. I have 5 months experience as an accounting associate mainly in tax preparation and compliance. Right now, I really don’t know what to do long term. So, I’m just wondering if I start my career in internal auditing, and maybe stay for 1-2 years, will it be hard for me to transition into accounting or to extern”

“I'm a sole practitioner in CA and did one compilation engagement for a client. I got my first peer review with 18 months of the first compilation engagement. My peer reviewer said I failed because I missed disclosing current liability vs long term liability on the debt balance. Also the peer reviewer asked for my preparation engagements because they need, at least, two engagements to review (didn't know preparation engagements are subject to review when you do compilation engagement).
