“Just moved into a new apartment and this is the nightmare sink. There seems to be some gunk that is between the bowl and the black surface, any ideas? Also to get the stopper looking shiny, and the faucet? Basically how to clean it all!”
“My husband and I recently downsized from a two bedroom apartment to a tiny one bedroom basement apartment, and I honestly have no idea how to make this work. I feel like we're drowning in stuff, even after getting rid of a lot. If you've ever lived in a really small apartment…”
“moved into a new apartment and we have a sink that can’t adapt to our washing machine. does anyone know what kind of adaptor this could use?”
Several posts express disappointment with recent changes in apartment design, specifically the disappearance of double kitchen sinks and concerns about nail hole repair policies. Residents are also grappling with issues like AC installation and organization challenges in smaller spaces.

“I’m thinking about installing a mini-split in my apartment, and my landlord is okay with it as long as I restore everything when I move out.My main concern is the hole through the exterior wall for the lines and drain. I’m worried that patching it and repainting could end up costing me my security deposit. A friend suggested a portable AC since there’s no drilling and it’s easier to take with you. I’ve looked at brands like Costway, but I’m leaning toward a mini-split because I really don’t want”
“Looking to put a new 48 with a center mount sink. I think the old home owner had a smaller sink and just did this ugliness. Is this possible to fix and have center mounted? And is this pricey? submitted by /u/Thr0waway8755 [link] [comments]”
“Hey! I just moved into my first ever apartment (yay) and I’m noticing that my sink is struggling to drain in the kitchen and also kinda smells weird (does that make sense). I was wondering what you all would recommend, as I have no garbage disposal and can’t feel anything clogging it. Just don’t want to put something in there that will do damage in the long-run. Thankssss submitted by /u/here_and_there10 [link] [comments]”

“I am considering mounting my tv and hanging a few pictures but I am wondering if this will impact how much of my security deposit I get back when I move. Does anyone renter/landlord have any experience with what you’ve seen? I would of course fill in the holes and sand before moving. submitted by /u/TopCaterpillars [link] [comments]”
“My apartment hit 95 degrees today and I am desperately trying to set up a portable ac for casement windows because my building only has those stupid crank-out panes. I just ordered a costway 15000 btu portable air conditioner out of pure survival instinct, but the window seal kits online look like flimsy trash bags with velcro. For those of you stuck with outward-swinging windows, what is the actual secret to sealing the exhaust hose so the hot air and mosquitoes don't immediately blow right”
“I’ve always loved the idea of having two sides to a kitchen sink. I like to cook a lot, so having one side for dirty dishes and the other side to wash produce, strain pasta, etc. was always useful for me to have. My current apartment has a one sided sink which I don’t like, and it’s getting harder and harder to find a place that has two sided sinks anymore… am I the only one upset by this minor inconvenience? submitted by /u/girlsaveragelife [link] [comments]”

I feel like we're drowning in stuff, even after getting rid of a lot. If you've ever lived in a really small apartment, what were the biggest game changers? I need all the advice. Things I'm looking for: • Hidden storage ideas • Products that actually save space • Closet hacks • Kitchen organization • Bathroom storage • Furnitur”
