“everyday its the same thing, some new account with a link and a "problem solved" edit. they think we are stupid or something”
“Is XMR where whatever is put in the account sits there, a good idea? Is there anonymous crypto today?”
“I pointed this out on a different thread, but it would be quite stupid if there was direct evidence. If I were a government, I personally would not go running around telling people about my new backdoored crypto project.”
Posts highlight multiple scammy services (e.g., Covert) claiming to offer Bitcoin-to-Monero swaps without KYC. Users warn these services use identical formats and suspicious claims, making it hard to identify legitimate options.

These undisclosed ads/ rage bait for X Money are so annoying.

“Plenty of places to buy crypto with no KYC, far fewer options to convert it back to fiat.”
“thanks for heads up, saw their ads in telegram and almost fell for it myself. the 99.8% drop on a "new" coin should be enough red flag for anyone but people get greedy”
“Warning: this post has been updated with a scam link. Please help by reporting it to the mods. This is a common scam that is going around reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/GetXMR/comments/1vt4bmn/comment/p4qd6em”
“It’s a bot. Come back to this post tomorrow and there will be an edit at the bottom of this post about this amazing new site they discovered that worked flawlessly.”
“I hope it is ok to post this here, I am looking for contributors to review instant swap services they have used. The question of how to get Monero gets asked every day, and it’s usually followed by a bunch of scam/phishing links and other terrible advice. The best strategy is always to buy Litecoin or Bitcoin and then swap it for Monero using a no-KYC instant exchange. I have created a new subdread to keep track of the most reliable exchanges and provide a place to warn others about scams. Pleas”
“XMR is more like cash and bitcoin original vision than any other. Its one of a handful of coins actually being used.”
Btc is not private it’s extremely public, monero is for privacy

… you were right he just updated the post with some bullshit.
“Like someone already mentioned you want to own Monero. Its actually usefull, and alot more so now with surveilence peaking.”
“yeah but im sure it wasnt actually fake crypto. it was real bitcoin, though it never confirmed and disappeared soon after the scammers blocked me https://preview.redd.it/pjc7u3q2p9hh1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f65a33f8a2385dbe7ab3de0bb36d7442791aa451”
“Someone wrote the word s p a m and it showed me but doesn’t show here. Idk. Excessive censoring is weird. I’m wondering what’s hidden that might actually be legit.”
“route.exchange is okay but their rates are rough sometimes, i just swap in smaller chunks with fixedfloat no kyc needed unless you moving like 5+ btc at once”
“Want to buy XMR without signing up anywhere or giving any personal information. Tried a few options but they all wanted at least an email before showing decent rates. Does something like this actually exist or is some kind of registration just unavoidable now? submitted by /u/De4d4ndBur1ed2e [link] [comments]”
“Typically what you do is post on reddit asking the question then post again with an answer but the question and answer is fake and the whole post and answer is a scam to trick people out of their money. Or buy it from a friend”
“I don't understand why not use Monero instead, does everything BTC does, and is private”
Thank you for the heads up. I think I may reconsider the next swap.
“UK resident here, so basically every major exchange either delisted XMR or never listed it in the first place. I kept hearing about THORChain finally bringing Monero but that’s been “soon” for years and I need something that actually works right now. Turns out it’s still not really there yet. Integration is close and even moving toward live swaps but no clear timeline so we can’t rely on it today Is there a simple and non custodial way to swap into XMR? It seems pure headache at the moment, ZEC”
“Verge … now that’s a blast from my early crypto years. Biggest loss and most valuable lesson in crypto.”

“( route.exchange ) is one of the better options since it routes to the best available rate. Also, this question fits better in the Monero community.”
“Absolutely do not check out this garbage swap. Use Trocador, Orangefren, or one of the ones listed on KYC.rip.”
“was thinking the same thing. there are like 10 of these posts on reddit from different accounts saying they solved it using covert. same format and everything. really sus...”
“I noticed covert has a spelling mistake on their main page it screams ai or vibe coded. Was going to use it but wont now. I think the op is promoting his own project because its uncommon for somebody to wrap words in [] as it occurs also on the website he says solved it. Coincidence? Paranoia? Over reacting?”
