“I really hate "blaming the victim" but c'mon man... He entered his entire seed phrase into a website?!? Like wtf? There's no security/protection on planet earth that can prevent utter stupidity like this.”
“this is a problem at the level of the wallet, the wallet should flag any address that is a lookalike of another to prevent the user from copying an address from the previous transaction (something users should not do anyway). This is a UX problem.”

“Sooooo. were you trading with Russian mobsters, North Korean hackers, or were you just scamming people from your call center in India/Pakistan?? Because they dont do this shit to regular traders. I have never seen it even once. Shocking that scumbags have no honor and are not trustworthy
Exactly. $895 has clearly failed as a filtering mechanism.
“Polygon is such an obsolete crypto too. The founders already cashed out. This is just delusional self importance.”

MetaMask? This is a web wallet and it's probe to phishing hacks. Avoid.
“Most people are like this. I have never been hacked or tricked but I would not keep all my funds in one wallet still. But "being your own bank" I am not sure how it would work for everyone. Most people just are not that street/crypto/tech smart.”
“That isn’t feasible with current gen wireless networks or current SIM security. Maybe with a Stingray-like device if you can pull off a 2G style attack. Someone could SIM swap you, but that would be pretty obvious because you’d be unable to call or text suddenly. They’d also need your Apple account password as well. Edit: I guess someone could get screwed another way, but I’m electing to leave that unsaid because I don’t want anyone to go out and do it.”
