“My renewal showed up this week and the annual premium went up enough that I went back and checked last year's statement I can save a bit paying the whole year at once but it's landing right after some house repairs and I'd rather not take another big hit out of checking this…”

“After moving my auto last year to progressive, I'm now considering Allstate for the after a 60% premium increase from State Farm due to me dropping their way overpriced auto. Any advantage of talking to a slick salesperson over just doing an online quote? Last one I talked to fed me full of crap, then when I asked him to call back after Labor Day before my State Farm policy expired he never called. Also a replacement value question. If the home has a replacement value according to Allstate&#”
“So I’ve had USAA for 20+ years and recently been shopping around…..well Progressive quoted $1500/6 months and my current is $2900/6 months. So my question is what’s your opinion on them? I know I’ll get good and bad but looking for real info, my last few interactions with USAA haven’t been pleasant so it’s time to shop around. Was also thinking NJM, so what are your thoughts? Forgot to add, I also carry a umbrella policy with USAA, didn’t shop around for that. But I’ve read USAA and other compan”
“Location: OR Type: Home + Auto Current: Progressive bundle I’ve been working with different insurance brokers over the past week and these are the two best quotes I’ve narrowed it down to. The coverage between them is essentially the same, so I’m less focused on the policy details now and more interested in people’s actual experiences with the companies. The researched I've done online has been kinda mixed, but overall it seems Nationwide is ranked higher. Safeco Liberty Mutual Auto: $2,225/”
“A few friends had this for their automobile and said stay away from it it's mostly for assigned risk and always quite high. I've been shopping around for homeowners insurance and they actually gave me a quote that was a few hundred lower than progressive or traditional all states so anybody have them for homeowners and any insight? submitted by /u/Reddevilvs [link] [comments]”
“My wife and I use AAA. They were the cheapest around, I have a local agent in a local office if I have questions or issues, and we have a lot better CS than the bigger companies.”
“Hey everyone! My friends from Oklahoma recently canceled their insurance because progressive was just charging them so much! They now have this -$2,579.66 charge … any idea what the term “insured request cancel” means? Im the older one in our friend group so they thought i could offer some insight, but i guess im not #adulting enough! submitted by /u/eeerinah [link] [comments]”
“Just got my 6 month policy renewal. My auto insurance through farmers went from $1470 to $2015. I have been with them since 2012. Have my home and earthquake insurance through them. Have an immaculate driving record. Have never filed a claim. But my premium increased by $545. I don't know what to say. Farmers basically wants me to pay an extra $1200 per year. Its robbery. submitted by /u/Potatoiscious [link] [comments]”

“Why have insurance rates gotten so high? My insurance just doubled and I’m at a lost. What would be a reasonable company to use that is not a fly by night? submitted by /u/Finney347pups [link] [comments]”
“Michigan no-fault insurance is the worst. I was back there in 2010, mine went from $500 annually to $1400.”
“Thinking of switching for a lower rate. Move to State Farm or stay with progressive for homeowners and auto? Which is the better option for customer service and claims? submitted by /u/Ok_Asparagus_3126 [link] [comments]”

“My parents have Farmers and loves them. My husband has Allstate and has been screwed over now for years. It turns out spending over $800 TWICE a year isn't normal. We're going to switch next year. Fuck Allstate. From what I hear, the top two worst are Geico and Allstate. I also don't know if it's normal with insurance companies, but when someone hit my husband's vehicle, he ALSO got an increased bill as if he were to blame for the accident...they also wanted to "total&qu”

“I just switched from Allstate to Geico and total 6 months premium went down. I am so happy but I felt like allstate auto insurance was 60% more is why? I am so wondering now. submitted by /u/ReplacementHead6691 [link] [comments]”
“I have a two at fault accidents under my license (2024 and 2026) and also live in Brampton area. Any suggestions as to which company or brokerage offers the lowest? submitted by /u/Dry_Appearance1606 [link] [comments]”
“Mine's opposite but still relevant. When I moved to California my premium significantly lowered that when I was in Houston. When I called Geico it's because they calculate the likelihood of you getting into accident. The higher population and amount of cars contribute especially Htown is a metropolitan”
“Progressive has once again doubled my home insurance for he 3rd year (700 in 2023, 1600 last year and the year before and now 2600 this year) and I need to find a new home insurance. To be completely transparent i want th absolute cheapest premium possible. Don't care about the deductible or what it covers. Just need it to satisfy my lender.
