“Hi everyone! Meet KIDDO (Kinematic and Innovative Device for Dynamic Operation), an articulated, modular and interactive action figure that plays custom voice lines and LED effects, all controlled by a remote. I made it as a personal gift for my nephew, and the baby it carries has his 3D scanned face. Here’s the workflow: Blender for the exploration and character design SolidWorks to remodel every part with proper CAD features and design all the joints, snap-fits and internal housings for the el”

Background: My 8yo son likes to come up with fictional “weapon” designs (just toys), and asks me to build them for him. In the past I’ve made the toys out of wood. “I made it in blender. It was a fun challenge to get the components in there. The two crystals use color changing LEDs. I’m going to paint this with my daughter over the weekend. submitted by /u/Ruby5000 [link] [comments]”

“I wanted to make something fun for Halloween and decided to make this witch's brewing station with passthrough potions. It is really fun and the LED lights make it even better. Happy to share the model if others are interested. No AI was used! https://reddit.com/link/1wwsc0g/video/rq9e6vvraath1/player submitted by /u/Traditional_Monk5288 [link] [comments]”
