“In many respects QQQI seems too good to be true with its high monthly dividends. Other than the risk of losing it's value, what other risks are there? What are the downsides to investing in cc funds?”
“Suppose you have 100 shares of qqqi and 100 shares of xqqi. Now these pay 2 weeks apart. Why not leave drip off and put the dividend from each in the other? Wouldn’t you catch more dividends on both since you’re always 2 weeks away from an ex date rather than a month? Not sure…”
“I have a lot of schd and jepq but recently I learned that GPIQ pays almost the same as Jepq for dividend and it is not taxed as ordinary dividend. Is this real? This sounds too good to be true. Anyway I bought some to test the water to see if I get the dividend next month and…”

Wouldn’t you catch more dividends on both since you’re always 2 weeks away from an ex date rather than a month? Not sure if it’s much more in the grand scheme of things but it seems like a good idea to me. I’m not smart enough to figure it out. submitted by /u/beershoes767 [link] [comments]”

Anyway I bought some to test the water to see if I get the dividend next month and really at 10% and if it's really no ordinary dividend, I likely will sell all my JEPQ for GPIQ in my broker and keep my JEPQ in roth ira. submitted by /u/CompetitionCurrent77 [link] [comments]”

“I am pretty new to income ETFs. Based on my estimates, I have come to realize that we are on the border of having to pay the NIIT (Net Investment Income Tax). If I swap out my shares of JEPI for ETFs with ROC tax treatment like GPIX it will help alleviate this for us. Anything wrong with this strategy that I didn’t think of? Yes I did take a look at each ETFs holdings. Thanks! submitted by /u/trigurlSeattle [link] [comments]”
“Should I sell JEPI for more stock in JEPQ, GPIX or GPIQ? My current family needs is living off of dividends over growth currently. I’m new to this as these stocks were an inheritance. I use a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch and they want me to own all of these ETFs. submitted by /u/Normalisnt666 [link] [comments]”
“Hey guys, So I jumped into JEPI back at the beginning of July, but I still haven’t seen any dividend payouts hit my account. What gives? Is it because I’m trading from outside the United States, or is there something else I'm missing? I bought it in early July and came away empty-handed for that payout cycle. Am I supposed to wait until the end of today (August 6th), or what? Also, what kind of situations or reasons could cause monthly dividend payments to stop or get delayed altogether? ”
“JEPI & JEPQ dividend JEPI: $0.36664 Ex date: 8/3 Pay date : 8/5 JEPQ: $0.70497 Ex date: 8/3 Pay date : 8/5 submitted by /u/nrgxpress [link] [comments]”
“I’m new to this and I’ve gone with SPYI, QQQI and VYM all w/ DRIP. Is this a good start? I did some research and felt like these may be the best for me. SCHD was also considered, but opted to go without for now. I would love to hear insights, thoughts and opinions!! submitted by /u/llessur13 [link] [comments]”

“I ran a quick 1-year comparison. GPIQ came out ahead on total return: 24.42% vs. 20.08%. JEPQ produced slightly more cash dividends ($1,140.83 vs. $1,116.24 on a modeled $10k), but GPIQ finished with about $434 more and stayed much closer to QQQ. Both screen as “Strong,” though one year is obviously a short window. Is GPIQ the better hold right now, or does JEPQ’s track record and income profile still win for you? https://preview.redd.it/fldgev2jhoeh1.png?width=2696&format=png&auto=webp&”
“Im looking into put a significant amount (to me) of money into JEPI. BUT I hear a lot of debate online over which is the best ETF. Now disregard growth ETFs or stocks. This is strictly about ETFs with the best returns. If you had to choose 3 which would they be and why? Please explain, I’m genuinely curious. submitted by /u/Few_Flounder_9350 [link] [comments]”
“A few people asked for QQQI, and I also wanted to add JEPQ because it has a longer history. So I compared JEPQ and QQQI against QQQ over each fund’s available history, then looked at those results next to a 5 year DIY QQQ covered call grid. Important caveat: this is not a perfect same window comparison. JEPQ starts in May 2022 (mid bear market), so it has about 4.2 years of history QQQI starts in January 2024, so it has about 2.5 years of history The attached QQQ covered call heatmap is a 5-year”
“I am looking to invest after selling an investment property. I generally always see people talk about JEPQ/JEPI, SPYI, QQQI, SCHDetc which can cap upside and have higher volatility. However, I hardly see people mentioning MITT, TRIN, ARC which also gives around 10% returns with no expense ratio. Why not buy those as opposed CC funds? Any thoughts? submitted by /u/An_A_hole [link] [comments]”
“i want a dividend play and at the same time my capital wont get smashed. im planning to do jepq, but i saw that jepi never recovered since 2021. will it happen to jepq as well? submitted by /u/Puzzled-Tangerine831 [link] [comments]”
