“Hey everyone, my dog has been having issues with her back paw, I’ve been putting ointment on it everyday but she ends up just licking it off. I can’t afford a vet visit but I’m not sure what the issue is or how else to help her. It’s like in between two of her “fingers” is…”

Pet owners report dogs with visibly swollen feet and reddish-purple bumps, but financial constraints prevent them from seeking professional care. Posts highlight the urgency of the issue but emphasize the inability to pay for treatment.

“This just appeared recently and he has been licking it and when I touch it he gets annoyed. It has been there for the past week and hasn’t been getting better. Any leads would be great! Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/OpenRespond4700 [link] [comments]”

“Our 5 year old spaniel started limping on Sunday and his right paw was incredibly swollen, it then burst of its own accord and starting oozing pale pink fluid. we took him to the vet on Monday who have swabbed it, flushed out the wound (so the hole js now huge inbetween the toes) and prescribed antibiotics and anti inflammatories. His paw is very swollen (day 2) and he doesn’t want to put any weight on it. Struggling to go to the loo, and just generally miserable. I’m hoping for some reassurance”

“The tops/sides of my dogs paws are loosing hair? I know he was licking his one paw but it came on so sudden. He doesn’t appear to be in distress he’s eating, playing drinking water but its in the same place on both of his back paws. We haven’t changed his diet at all either - he’s a 2 year old black golden doodle. It’s been like 3 days ish submitted by /u/Rare_Aardvark_3264 [link] [comments]”

“Hello there! Looking for some community advice and ideas for helping my sweet dude, Ludo (2yr. 65lb pitbull), heal a stubborn paw injury. A few days ago, I noticed some localized swelling around a spot just below a paw pad on his back foot. It was very circular, had no apparent open wound, and he didn’t seem bothered by it. Checked for foreign objects, stings, anything. Found nothing. A few days later, it did start to get raw and bled after some excited play on carpet. Since then, we’ve seen the”

“Since yesterday I noticed her licking her one paw and I tried too see if something was lodged or cut and from what I saw was just red from her licking it. It's not constantly maby once every few hours. She's not limping or showing signs of pain other than just she seems to be abit senceative on the red area. Any suggestions as to what it might be as I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow hopefully after work to have it looked at but just wondering if I'm being overly dramatic or not.”

“About a week ago we noticed our dog licking his paw, and found this: https://imgur.com/a/3K2kGHp It was sensitive to him, red and inflamed. The vet couldn't see him for over a week (not until Wed), so in the meantime we put a sock over his foot to protect him from licking it. Now it looks like this, which I think is an improvement, at least in terms of the redness/inflammation: https://imgur.com/a/mSwyCWa Thoughts on what this is? Injury from a thorn or something similar? Seems odd that the”

“https://imgur.com/a/Y2TXIjJ any thoughts on what this could be? Female, 1.5yrs old, domestic shorthair, ideal healthy weight history: I noticed the minor skin flake on a digital pad a month ago that got better on its own, but its come back worse and now there is also swellling that started today. Also, a month ago I noticed that one paw was pink & felt different than the other: The space between the metacarpal pad and proximal digital pad felt less springy, I think it may have been slightly”

“My dog only started developing these symptoms when she was around 3-4 years old. As a puppy, she ate salmon kibble and various treats without any obvious issues. Later, she began itching and scratching frequently, her paws became red and irritated, and she started having recurring ear infections. Over the years, we have tried: • Elimination diets and food trials • Blood allergy testing • Probiotics • Mud spas and herbal baths • Medicated shampoos • Apoque! and Cytopoint injections • Dog booties/”

“hi! i was wondering if anyone had any advice on what this could be and how to treat it. there is a patch of hair/skin on my dog that i have no idea what it is. due to the hot florida heat, i gave my dog a haircut about two months ago. i realized this specific spot when i shaved it, was shaved down slightly more than the rest of her body but i was just going to let it grow and then fix it when appropriate. there was no cut or injury when the hair was cut shorter. but within the last few weeks, iv”

“https://imgur.com/a/eEizZis Pug/beagle, 13 yo, female My dog has been licking her foot for the last couple of days. The side looks swollen and the bottom has a large reddish purple bump on it. She’s not limping or anything but when I touched her foot it seemed to bother her. I don’t have any extra money right now as I just finished school. Do I have to bring her to the vet? What could be wrong with her foot? submitted by /u/ambermlh [link] [comments]”
