“I’m considering LVP flooring (floating, not glued). But I’m wondering how durable it is? My kids like to leap from the third step on the staircase down to the floor (currently carpet) and I’m wondering if that would cause the flooring to bust or separate? Also how is LVP vs Engineered hardwood? I’m being pushed by a family member for engineered hardwood, claiming it’s better for water resistance and such. But isn’t LVP waterproof? We currently have laminate in the kitchen which clearly has water”

“Bought a brand new Lennar home in Florida. Bedrooms come with carpet and I plan on taking that out and replacing it with LVP. However, I'm not sure what brand to get. I want something that is going to last at least 10 years. I have pets and move furniture frequently. I also keep seeing people mention a moisture barrier. I have yet to pull up the carpet to see whats underneath but if its concrete, do I still need the barrier? What would you recommend for LVP and the barrier if needed? s”

“My LVP has a couple of bumps next to the southern balcony doors. I definitely goes up during sunny days. I've installed those LVPs by myself 2,5 years ago. I think its getting slightly worse every year. I have left enough dilatation on each side of the room. This specific place is between heavy table and heavy couch, does it matter? Sometimes I move the table to push it down for couple of days, when it's super high, because I'm afraid that the clips will pop. Why it's like that?”
