“We noticed dripping out of our secondary condensate line, above our master bathroom. When I pour water or vinegar down the clean out line in our attic, it does not clog or back up at all, but everything comes out of the secondary line and nothing out of the main near our AC unit…”

“Tried to clean around a duct by dusting, still had a halo around it after, so I used an all purpose spray and a cloth which didn’t change anything, then tried to use gumption which made it even bigger. Just a bit at a loss,…”

When I pour water or vinegar down the clean out line in our attic, it does not clog or back up at all, but everything comes out of the secondary line and nothing out of the main near our AC unit on the ground. There’s a small amount of water under our AC unit in the pan in the attic. We’ve never noticed this issue before, but the pan obviously has rust in it, so there has clearly been water in there in the past”
“I have a question about my RUDD Advantage HVAC unit. he unit is Les than a year old, I have water going down into my Return AC duct. I have drained the Return Duct. there is very little water coming out the P-trap. more water is coming out the bottom of the unit. the unit is level, the Freon level is good, the evaporator coil is freezing up. the Interior Air filter is clean, replaced a week ago. is there anything I need to look at. Called the contractor who installed it, he said that the warrant”

Any advice? Above the black price is soaked. Same outside the vent (not sure if it should be opened or closed). I’m in Ohio it’s hot and humid. I tried turning it off for a while and issue still persists, started a dehumidifier inside as well. Thanks for any advice. submitted by /u/Similar-”
“The circled, insulated pipe consistently drips condensation at the point where it enters the air handler which causes water to accumulate on the floor, and there appears to be mold growing in there now. How do I fix this? The insulation appears to butt up against the air handler so it’s not a lack of insulation (I don’t think). The entire unit was replaced about 3 years ago. submitted by /u/buddy_monkers [link] [comments]”
“I have a hole in my drywall from condensation building up in the ducting near my air filter and dripping. I have the thinnest, cheapest Home Depot filters I can buy. I paid a plumber $400 to snake the line, but it didn't fix anything. This happened one other time two years ago, and John Moore charged me $1,200 to fix it; I don't have that money to spare right now. Any suggestions? I will note that it only drips when the AC is on. The backup drain is not dripping, and I don't have a m”
“I was getting something out of the utility room, and I noticed the ground was wet around the bottom of this round venting (that has the black insulation at the top). I’ve never, ever noticed that part of the ground to be wet. Went I feel the opening, I can feel the inside of it wet and some drops fell to the ground. I assumed this isn’t normal, but honestly I have no clue. What might I be looking at there? Thank and sorry (I’m clueless). Note, it has been extremely humid and lots of rain the pas”
“I noticed the vent was leaking in our living room, so I removed it and noticed that the leak had a pretty extensive build up of moisture in the lip of the vent cover and soaking the sheetrock. I’ve kept the vent cover off for a week to monitor and dried out the sheetrock with a heat gun but it continues to have a small drip. The duct is on the first floor between the first and second floor so not an issue of attic heat or second floor bathroom drainage. We live in Houston and have thought this m”
“New homeowner here again. I changed the AC filter and have the arrow pointing upward as the flows from the floor up in my system. The previous filter was pointing downward. After I changed the filter I noticed condensation and water building up on the copper pipe where the black insulation was not sealed. Is this normal?? Should I replace the black insulation around the pipe? Also I think the filter is correct now but I’m not confident in any of this. Any help and comments welcome submitte”
“I was mowing yesterday and saw this travesty. How on earth do I clean this out? AC has been working completely fine, I wouldn’t have even noticed unless I walked by while mowing. submitted by /u/james18205 [link] [comments]”
“I noticed some water marks on the basement floor and after removing some ceiling drywall, traced it back to a duct elbow. See images attached. The main issue is the duct that has turned white and has some bowing/bubbling to it. What exactly is causing the issue in that one elbow, where the other elbow is fine. There’s also some insulation sitting up against both of them which I’m not sure is an issue or not. Do I need to replace that elbow? House was built in late 60’s. submitted by”
