“Just got one of these units last may and it's died twice since then. First time there was a power outage and the head start blew. Then the compressor died two months later. This $7k Goodman unit warranty only replaces the parts so instead of giving me a new unit entirely, they are replacing what is broke and making me pay for new refrigerant because it isnt covered by warranty. “I am in South Jersey and trying to figure out what likely failed before an emergency HVAC company comes out. The outdoor unit is a Goodman GSX130361EF , 3 ton, R-410A, manufactured in 2019, so it is only about six years old in service. “Outside unit kept tripping breaker, it would between 0-60 minutes before tripping. I makes a loud pop when it trips. Changed the breaker and capacitor with no change. Called for service today and they tech at first said it was running and cooling fine then it tripped after about 20 minutes. He pulled the cover and all 3 wires to the compressor are burnt/corroded.
