Homeowners Battling Pesky Pests

“Hi, I’m dealing with a clothing moth infestation. Everywhere I’ve read says to vacuum, but I’m worried that will just bring moth eggs into my vacuum and then spread them around. It’s likely my vacuum already has them in it since I’ve been using it to clean regularly before realizing how severe the infestation was. Should I clean the vacuum before continuing to clean my house? How can you vacuum the dust without furthering to spread the infestation? I welcome any advice or links to previous threa”

“I made the mistake of leaving some bird seed open where they could find it, now I have dozens of the things hanging out on the ceiling 10-12 feet up where I can’t get to them. I do have a step-stool but it isn’t tall enough to get me up there. I’m considering buying some bug spray in the hopes it’ll go far enough to kill them, but I don’t want to kill these things by turning my home into a biohazard zone. “I have found this wasps' nest attached to a 1st floor window, so easily accessible. What's the best way to remove it? I was thinking of trying to put a jar of soapy water around it and then knock it into the jar. “I've got an issue with clothes moths. They seem to some in waves. I'm mainly concerned about protecting my oriental rugs. Using pheromone glue traps, and spraying the rugs, but they keep coming back. “Well my trap captured a clothe moth today. So the majority of them look like the one I captured so I guess I have a problem mostly with clothes moths. I looked it up and the advice is: wash everything at 60°C or freeze it My clothes can't be washed at 60°C. Most of them shouldn't even be washed over 30°C. So that isn't an option. “In South Louisiana where I live spiders are just a thing. Besides sealing up entry points as for any pest there is not much you can do. They occasionally come up the drains, somehow get inside other ways I am not sure but I see about 5 a month or so in the house. “Backstory : I have a roofline on a 2-story section of my house that overhangs a second single-story roofline (kitchen) with a vaulted ceiling. We replaced the spruce clapboard siding 10 years ago with vinyl and metal wrapped window trim, soffits and fascia boards.
