“Its a rescue kitten and is only 45ish days only. She was super dehydrated and she was not even a full pouch the entire day. So i took her to the vet and she got a drip. And the vet also gave an appetiser to give it to her. After i came back i gave her 0.4ml appetiser and she…”
“My 15wk old kitten has been acting strange the last 24 hours. He is normally very hyper and high energy but there has been a noticeable drop in this, sleeping a lot and generally just being very chill. He is still eating and drinking water (if anything he’s drinking more water…”

“My 15wk old kitten has been acting strange the last 24 hours. He is normally very hyper and high energy but there has been a noticeable drop in this, sleeping a lot and generally just being very chill. He is still eating and drinking water (if anything he’s drinking more water than usual), his temperature seems normal, and he is not hiding. It feels like a change in his personality more than anything. It’s been very hot where I live, so I wonder if it’s the heat. Should I be very concerned? Is t”
“I need advice. We have kittens we been taken care of since birth. Ferral mom and her kittens have all came inside as of a couple weeks ago. They were kept in a safe secure spot where only we and momma cat could access. On camera and everything. Out of 8 females, 2 have died from nuroligical symptoms. Runt died within a 2-3 weeks or so at birth. I got them to the vet every time. The last one that passed a month ago randomly developed wobbley cat syndrome & then passed away at vet when she was”
“We adopted two 3-month-old female kittens, Lucy and Bella, about three days ago. They've been adjusting quite well to their new home. Bella has been especially active, playful, and curious. She's been eating normally and using the litter box without any problems. However, this morning I noticed a small patch of white, bubbly foam on the floor near their litter box. I'm not sure what it was, but I suspect Bella might have vomited it because she was trying to bury it by scratching the”
“Hello! I could really use some opinions, especially from people who've had cats for many years, rescue volunteers, vets, or anyone with firsthand experience with FeLV. I’m dealing with a pretty ridiculous amount of anxiety right now, and I’m hoping to get some perspective and bring it down a notch. My cat is currently 3 years old. For the first two years of his life, he regularly went outdoors, unfortunately without being vaccinated. He didn’t live in a colony, wasn’t regularly around groups”
“The kitten is orphaned. Tried searching for her mom alot but no luck. She has been with me for 10 days. And for 8 days she was active and playful. But suddenly she became lethargic and meows very less. She even resists feed but that she did from the start. Otherwise she is pooping peeing. But her weight is also decreasing. Yesterday i noticed slightly concentrated urine. What should i do. The vet refuses to deworm her or put IV as she is too small. For dehydration vet said electral water not ped”
“https://www.reddit.com/r/CATHELP/s/IDhOhpGwUC ^ Videos here (as it wont let me post videos on this subreddit) Hi, i'm slightly worried about one of our kittens. Got them 2 weeks ago, and within that time i've noticed her eyes are a lot smaller than her sisters, she sometimes dazzes out with her tongue out, and i'm not sure if her eyes are delayed when following a finger or something. Other than that she seems fine, eating, drinking, playing normally, and they'll be going to the v”
“I adopted my cat just over 2 weeks ago from the shelter that I work at. She was on 100mg of Gabapentin every 12 hours for a few months before I adopted her to help with stress. I took her to the vet yesterday for a first consultation and the vet told me that I could stop it cold turkey and that it would not cause any symptoms. However, the vet tech at the shelter told me she needed to be tapered off it under the direction of a vet. She has not had the last 2 doses so it is fully out of her syste”
“I recently just brought my cat home yesterday after she’d been spayed and I can’t stop worrying, I know that weird behavior within the first twenty four hours is to be expected due to the anesthesia but I feel like there’s something wrong and I’m making the wrong assumption. When I brought her back she was wobbly (again I know this is normal) but when i tried feeding her out my hand she had this temporary fall where she lost balance of her whole body and I had to hold her until she regained it.”
“I adopted my kitten about 4 weeks ago, she is in good health except she had a upper respiratory tract issue- just some sneezing and snot drooling etc when she was in foster, the drooling is gone now but occasionally she sneezes (it is not cat flu the rescue said she is essentially perfectly healthy). Yesterday she had a bit more liquid in her food (I made a chicken stock and she was going berserk for it so I put a couple of tea spoons in her food and she lapped it up). So she did a slightly wet”
“I adopted a 5 month old kitten from the humane society yesterday around noon. He was a stray that was trapped 3 weeks ago, and was put up for adoption just a few days ago. He has been fixed and gotten most of his shots. Anyways, since bringing him home he has not used the bathroom at all. It's now been about 30 hours since we left the shelter. He is really underweight, and l've gotten him to eat a little bit of wet food, but he hasn't drank any water. When he licked my hand, his tong”
“Answers Appreciated 2 weeks ago we got a new kitten (we already had one 8 month old perfectly healthy cat at home). He was doing so good and getting settled in great until 9/11/26. He was scheduled to go in for his first round of vaccines, and when i got home from work to take him, i noticed his eye was watery. I mentioned it to the vet (the same vet we use for our other kitty), and she checked it out. He also started sneezing in the car on the way there. So i mentioned that as well. She said sh”
“My husband is a mailman and saved an abandoned kitten. He was 4 weeks old when we found him. He was super skinny and weak, but we fed him a ton, and followed advice from a cat rescue and he seemed to be doing well. He was super energetic, playful, and acted like a normal kitten. He is 16 weeks old now. We have taken him to the vet twice for booster shots. We have an appointment for his last visit this week, but he's acting weird. We were gone from Thursday until Sunday and had a pet sitter s”
“I recently adopted a cat from my local humane society and am deciding whether or not I need to take her to an emergency vet. She is currently on a medication to help with stomach problems she got while at the humane society, but I have noticed the following symptoms: eye drainage constantly squinting runny nose (accompanied by constant sneezing) she also sounds like she is about to cough up a hairball but then doesn't actually cough anything up today she has been hiding under my desk a lot H”
“I have a 6 year old female grey cat whom has had seizures since she was around 2 years old. Shes always been an interesting cat. I got her from the shelter at 9 months old, and it was very apparent she had been through some sort of trauma at some point. She would jump when you tried to touch her, and make some sort of a “trill” noise. She’s done this her whole life. I have only successfully pet her a few times, because she will lay at the end of the bed. She has been on seizure meds in the past,”
“I posted previously that my kitten is having seizures. He’s on Keppra and phenobarbital but the seizures are still happening. We’ve been to four different vets at this point. Last week we saw a new one who has been treating another kitten who was rescued along with Bowski, who also happens to have some neurological stuff going on. She did bloodwork on our boy, which came back negative for all infections. The other kitty had bloodwork done for immune response and had antibodies for toxoplasmosis”
“* Species: Cat * Age: 6 * Sex/Neuter status: female spayed * Breed: grey calico * Body weight: 10lbs roughly, she is eating/drinking and using litter box normally * History: Giardia as a baby, she was a stray * Clinical signs: Loud howling, open mouth panting and drooling, once per month * Duration: Several months * Your general location: Missouri USA I took her to the vet about this recently. “Hi everyone, I really need some advice because I’m getting a little worried. I adopted a kitten on Tuesday and she is only 6 weeks old . I know she was probably separated from her mother a little too early, and I feel guilty about it, even though she is with me now and I just want to do everything I can to make sure she is okay. Since she arrived, she has been hiding almost all the time. She looks for small, tight spaces where she feels safe and she meows quite a lot. On Tuesday, she basically d”
“We got our 10 week old kitten last week when she was 9 weeks old and she has still been very sick. We were told her history was that she was found on the street emaciated and had flea induced anemia and a bacterial infection. last week we took her to the vet for more testing and they found out she has a parasite as well, and she is 1.7lb. She is on a variety of medication’s right now throughout the week she has had on and off control over her diarrhea and throwing up, but it has seemed to improv”
“I really need some advice on how to help my kitten! She is 10 weeks old and has been with me for jut over a week. We have had no problems she is very sociable, eats well and is litter trained .last night she started going to the toilet outside of her litter box which was wierd so I kept a close eye on her when she started seizing. Since then she has had nearly 20 seizures in one day . I have taken her to the vets twice but they said she looks healthy besides the seizing and are running blood wor”
“I fostered a cat, it was only supposed to be for a few weeks to get her back on her feet. She was part of a colony and had an upper respiratory infection that was being treated. She weighed 5lb when we got her. Looong story short, she never got back on her feet. The shelter had us take her in for some extractions and a nasal flush. Day 1-3 she appeared to be doing great. At that time I officially became a foster fail and let the shelter know I was going to adopt her. The day I signed all the ado”
