“We’ve got him covered. But I have another puppy that is mine that is 6 months old. He finished his puppy vaccine series at the beginning of June. He has not interacted with the infected puppy, but obviously I’m going back and forth. I’m changing clothes and disinfecting constantly but it’s distemper so I’m concerned about his exposure. Should I get him another booster now? 6 months old, breed mostly unknown, but there’s definitely chihuahua, 13 lbs. I bottle fed him starting at 12 days because h”

“Hello all, I have a 12 week old female puppy. I have had her for a few weeks. She just got her second round of shots. She is a German shepherd, husky, Rottweiler mix. She has a few other breeds but those are the main ones. She is the runt of her litter and an all around great puppy in general. She has a lot of energy which we have been doing well to keep her active. She is the first large breed dog my family has had in 20 years so I’m needing some help getting my sea legs back in training. “hello. i am rescuing an 8 month old pup, 9 when i take her home. she’s 50% aussie, 25% husky, 18% pit, and 8% common working breeds. don’t know how big she’ll get, but she’s surprisingly tall for being mostly aussie. all legs. i have kept tabs on her the past month and seen that she has potential to work and is extremely smart. my dilemma is that i’m not entirely sure how to help her be her best. the previous owner can barely feed her and never has “time” to give her tasks or work with her. i’ve”

“Hi everyone! My puppy is a 19 week old papillon and she’s just completed her two-week-post-DAPP shots. I don’t want to overwhelm her, but I want to start encouraging her to be walking out and about as much as is good for her. On average, how often did you guys have your puppies out? A walk every time they were up? Right now I’m taking her out at lunch and in the evenings. I alternate between worrying I’m pushing to fast and worrying I’m babying her 😵‍💫 submitted by /u/Television_To”

“Hey everyone, Quick question for other Aussie owners! My 3.5-month-old female Australian Shepherd (~8.3 kg / 18 lbs) is doing great, super playful, eating well, and drinking normally. Lately, I’ve noticed her bathroom habits follow a specific pattern: The first part is well-formed, solid, and easy to pick up. Toward the end, it gets significantly softer (mushy / soft-serve texture), particularly first thing in the morning or after she gets excited and plays outside. She eats her puppy kibble on”

“I know there have been posts here asking about this before but I am at the end of my wits and looking for more advice. I have a 16 week Boston terrier, just finished his last round of shots last week. This is my third dog and I’ve never had one that struggles with eating. For the first 3 months of his life he ate kibble like a champ. We even switched to a snuffle mat for some of the meals and he loved it. One morning about a month ago I set down the mat and he had no interest in it. Since then h”

“I just adopted a 3 month Chihuahua mix from the shelter and during the paper work process the woman helping me mentioned to not place the dog on tue floor until fully vaccinated. “I've had (what I think is) a kangal mix for about two and a half months now. Vet says he is 11 to 13 months old. Found it outside my house, clearly malnourished and scared. Took him in, fed him, bathed him, and now he is loved and taken care of. I am a bit baffled by his behavior. At first, he slept a lot, and once he got more comfortable started being more active. He learnt to walk on a leash, sit, wait, recall, quite quickly. However I have three issues: When off-leash (I live outside the c”

“Our 16-week old mini poodle (male, 15 lbs.) got his 3 round of DHPP and his rabies shot about 12 hours ago. Since he’s been really sore after his 2nd round of shots last month, the doctor gave him a Benadryl injection as well this time around, and other than a bit of sensitivity and lethargy before bed that I mainly attributed to the Benadryl, he’s been a lot better this time around. I just woke up in the middle of the night to our pup throwing up. It was just once, didn’t have much in it other”

I’m worried though because we live in a neighborhood with a lot of dogs and when we pass other dogs on walks she gets so excited and wants to lunge at them and pull the leash, or if she sees them from afar she sits down and stares and I can’t get her focus away from them. They provided educational material that contained info on both sides so there was no deep bias in the content, just in their verbally shared opinion that they do prefer their pups don’t get it.
