“Edit: am studying bachelor of laws as an undergraduate I’m in Australia. I’m 23F. My academic transcript looks like a mess. I moved states and transferred universities. I took a gap year. I went part-time for a year as well. I was doing a double degree with arts so there are art units in there as well. I have withdrawn from courses prior to academic census date, so there is a ‘W’ for withdrawn next to those units (as opposed to an F (fail)). I am also studying at a uni that is quite low ranked.”
“I know this question might sound silly but I’m genuinely curious. Is it doable? Do pre law students even get to live their lives still? submitted by /u/Legitimate-Copy-8206 [link] [comments]”
“I’m currently a senior in high school planning to attend law school, and I’m trying to choose an undergraduate major. I’ve heard that your major matters less for admissions than your GPA, so I’m considering communications, political science, English, history, or another field I genuinely enjoy. I’m especially interested in communications because it seems like it could build useful skills for law, but I’m unsure what the coursework and career options are like outside of law school. For current la”
“Hi! 24F here! I'm currently working as a paralegal in a corporation here in the Philippines, where I proofread and review documents. I want to improve my analytical skills and expand my knowledge in law, but I feel like law school is a huge commitment for me at this age. I honestly don't know if I can commit five years of my life to it just yet. Can I ask if there are any courses or master's programs that could be an option for someone who wants to expand her knowledge of the law wit”

Either way I am adding a pre law and paralegal studies minor, and am applying to intern at the public defenders office for senior year. I know GPA is important but I’d hate to have a somewhat useless degree for what I’m planning. Im struggling weighing the odds of either path- CIS-harder and a slight”
“Hi everyone I was wondering if I could get some advice as a first year undergrad. I’m currently undecided about my undergraduate major, but I’m interested in attending law school after I finish my degree. I’m especially drawn to intellectual property, entertainment law, and media law. Would a degree in communications, or communications and public relations be viewed negatively by law school admissions committees compared with a more traditional major? I’m also wondering whether studying in a fie”

“I’m 21, and I’ve spent almost 4 years getting this criminal justice bachelors to go to law school but I don’t want to go. It’s what my mother wanted me to do so I did it. I can’t think of any career that truly interest me. I absolutely do not want to be a cop, I’m just going through the motions but I really don’t want to go to law school. I get good grades and the subject manages to not be completely boring. I enjoy the crime part of it and learning but the things that people did and what led up”
“I'm a recent graduate with an B.A. in English (Writing and Rhetoric). I've been looking at different job opportunities with writing such as technical writing but I'm also considering the possibility of going to law school. I don't know that much about the law except for a few legal writing classes I've taken in school which I didn't mind. I wanted to know for those of you who have studied law and are doing a law related job, how do you like it? Is it high stress? How is t”
“Hello, I'm interested in going into law in the future, however I also want to pursue a Journalism degree for my undergraduate. I know that it's an acceptable degree for most law schools, but I have aspirations to attend a top law school. My question is this: is having a journalism degree going to give me a significant disadvantage for applying to these schools? submitted by /u/AverageInstaUser [link] [comments]”
“Hey! I recently started law school (full time) but I’d like to pursue an engineering degree alongside it (part time). Is this worth it career wise? Or is it a waste of time? Would I be shooting myself in the foot by trying to do both at the same time? Any advice is greatly appreciated! submitted by /u/HoneyBear_27 [link] [comments]”

“I’m 24 and seriously considering law school, but I’m trying to get a realistic picture of what I’d be signing up for rather than just focusing on salary or the idea of being a lawyer. For those of you who went through law school and are now practicing, what was law school actually like? Did you enjoy it, or was it mostly three years of stress and grinding? And now that you’re practicing, how does being a lawyer compare to what you expected going in? I’m especially curious about your day-to-day l”
“Hi lawyers ! is big law worth it ? Lately, I’ve been questioning if I would like to even go the law school route as a junior in Polisci major. My current “goal” is to go to law school after I graduate and gain some work experience, but im considering if it’s actually for me because the law path has been ‘enroached’ on me by my mom, and other tutors who believe I’m somehow ‘fitted’ to take on such a career. However this also comes with a sense of urgency, and an undeniable pressure to better my c”

“Hi everyone! I am a mom of a 14 month old and have had a dream of pursuing law school for quite sometime. I was pre-law in college but then got married and had my son pretty soon after finishing my BA. I also have fulfilled hours working in law firms throughout college. I am studying for my LSAT now with an ambitious timeline. I am motivated but also very nervous. I know the undertaking this will be. I have a very supportive husband but he owns his own business and has to be boots on the ground”
“I still have a few years before I go to uni (I chose a longer secondary school) but its smart to think about career options already. I have 3 main things I can see myself doing in the future: First one is notary in my home country, second is a judge somewhere else or studying international law and choose a job based on that. I would love to hear from someone with a backround in law if these are worth pursuing or not. If yes what should i be prepared in the field or while studying. submitted”
“Hey everyone! I’m a final yr law student looking to make a good law friend here. Someone with whom I can discuss law, studies, exams, career stuff, share resources, rant about college , and just have random conversations too. It would be nice if we could motivate each other and grow together academically and professionally. If you’re also looking for a law friend, feel free to DM! submitted by /u/Tight_Trick9108 [link] [comments]”

“i've always been interested in being a layer. i love debating, and i want a career that's genuinely interesting instead of just doing the same thing every day. but i keep hearing that lawyers work too many hours, and that it's becoming less and less lucrative every year. so, is becoming a lawyer still worth it today, and can you make a lot of cash while still having a decent enough work life balance? is it even still a stable career or would i have to worry about making a consisten i”

“I’m currently entering my second year of undergrad studying international studies with a concentration in international development and a minor in pre law (say that 5 times fast💔). My plan for a while has been to go to law school and hopefully become a lawyer in something like immigration, however after doing some more research in to the average salary of an immigration lawyer I’m not sure it’s something I’d be happy with, although I’m passionate about immigration law, I’m more passionate about”

“Hi! So I have a personal dilemma and gusto ko po humingi ng thoughts ninyo. Parents ko po ay mga law graduates, pero di po sila nagprapractice ng law. Father ko po naging businessman, mama ko po naman naging housewife. Ngayon, ako po 'yung panganay at ako rin po mga first sa direct line ng father ko na mag-aral sa big 4 universities. However, nadelay po ako at hindi po gaano kaganda ng naging gwa ko dahil sa personal reason (e.g. anxiety). Ang mother ko, pinipilit nila akong mag-law kahit ay”
