Medical education providers are struggling with complex, custom-coded training pathways. The departure of key technical staff leaves them vulnerable, as these systems are difficult to maintain and transition. This creates a significant risk of disruption to critical training programs.

“I’m getting shit for holding up releases and feel like I spend 90% of my time just clicking through changes. Has anyone found any good ways of automating the process either with LLMs or another tool? submitted by /u/zxcv1135 [link] [comments]”
“Hey all Looking for opinions, advice or any useful discussion. Our company is moving to In-App education, moving resources directly into out platform and away from traditional LMS. The problem I'm seeing in this is that they don't seem to want to bring in education into the app, but simply information and create a "library" of content and resources, without actually teaching anything. The resources will mainly include a Video Library with simple How-To videos showing workflows”
“Hi everyone! I'm delivering SCORM courses to a client, and we're experiencing an issue with completion tracking. Even after a learner finishes the course, the client's LMS continues to display the status as "In Progress" instead of "Completed." The course is published in SCORM 2004, 3rd Edition. I've tested the package in both Moodle and SCORM Cloud, and it works correctly on both platforms, recording course completion as expected. I'd like to determine wh”
“My hospital is switching to Epic next week, and there were delays in the build. I am training a team of medical scribes Epic later today, but still have not been given any useful training materials or proper login. I expect to have access to the training playground / platform, but that may not happen. What I need are screenshots, images of training platforms, any pdfs or presentations someone may have that I can use so I can show what the it will look like. I understand it may look very differen”
“You need to find courses on actual low-level basic concepts. Not just tutorials on "how to build X" or "how to write Y". A lot of youtube tutorials skip the basics and jump straight into making things or "learning" beyond the basics. It's the same for learning basic math in school. You don't just dive right into learning how to do 15 * 4. First you learn addition, 15 + 15 + 15 + 15. Then you learn multiplication as a concept, what it actually means and does”
“solid framework but the hard part nobody talks about is maintaining these once your actual SOP changes. the skill file drifts out of sync fast if theres no process to update it alongside the human docs [re: Why most agency SOPs fail when turned into prompts and the exact framework to automate them properly]”
“Hi! What software/programs should I be looking into? Is Adobe Captivate or Articulate more preferred? Are there others I should look at instead? submitted by /u/daQueen1011 [link] [comments]”
“I purchased the Ultimate Occlusion Level 2 online course a few months ago and almost all of the videos. logged back in today and I’m so confused. It looks like all of the videos have been changed/replaced, and even the progress I had made watching the previous videos is completely gone. I’m wondering if this happened to everyone or if there was some kind of course update that I missed? Did anyone else notice that their videos/content and progress are different now? submitted by /u/di”
“Hey guys, I am wondering what minimum features/abilities you actually use in an authoring tool. What I am thinking: building a new generation authoring tool with only the necessary features, and making it available for a competitive price. I’d offer both a monthly subscription and a one-time, lifetime fee with all updates. Am I thinking it right or missing something? Anyone who wants to help me brainstorm a MVP? submitted by /u/phpfour [link] [comments]”
“Our old software SME did too, and what little time I had to try it in training back in 2024 made it fun. Though I don't know what Distro he had.”
“Thanks for taking the time to test it and for being specific about what you actually checked. That sequencing point makes sense. The student should really be thinking about isolation and verifying zero energy at that point, not restoration yet. I’m going to look at moving the “Before restoring power” checklist and restoration instructions farther into the level so they appear when the student actually reaches that stage. I also appreciate you calling out that this was a limited UX check rather t”
“This is what we use for our product docs! It has really nice traceability and a hierarchy as well, which makes it easy to know which docs are applicable at each level.”
“I’m exploring a way for interactive H5P activities to work with an LMS while being hosted outside it. I’ve tested the technical flow with CATAPULT and SCORM Cloud, but I’m trying to understand whether this solves a real instructional-design workflow or merely a technically interesting one. For people who have used cmi5 in real courses: did it make life easier for teachers or learners? What worked well, and what became a headache? submitted by /u/UnderstandingSure732 [link] [com”
“Some folks (the minority, IME) are fine to learn on their own by reading through documentation. I’m a big fan of live walkthroughs myself since it allows the audience to ask clarifying questions in real-time. Depends on the culture of the org, but I try to prep a few questions planted in the audience in case folks are afraid to ask questions. Then I circulate a recording of the live walkthrough along with the documentation I created, and then hold another session maybe a week or two after once f”
“drop-off on open text fields is almost always higher than multiple choice, that part isn't surprising. what's usually worth the trade is what you do with the answers afterward, personalization, seeding a feed, matching people to something. if the answers just get stored and never shown back to the user, it's still worth it internally but you won't feel it in day one metrics. the failure mode I'd watch for isn't the question format, it's whether people understand why y”
“In early user calls, the useful notes are exact phrases and the sequence of what they tried before us, not feature opinions. “Would you use this?” mostly produces polite fiction.”
“I have been researching tools for making courses. While new alternatives are continuously emerging and improving, Articulate Rise (and Storyline) seems to be one of the leading tools. A drawback of Articulate is the cost; although when selling successful courses, it is a small problem, really. Another problem is the limited interactivity, but now they have this code upload option and iframes, so even that is possible. Further problems include no TTS option, no print option, the PDFs become ugly,”
“the wordle comparison is what I keep coming back to. everyone gets the same daily challenge already, so a result card is mostly a UI job, not a new system. that might be the next thing I build”
“The biggest thing that would stop me is authoring cost. Every interactive training tool I've watched dies on the same hill: making a good interactive guide takes 10x the effort of writing a doc, so teams publish one and never update it. If your editor can't take someone from blank page to a published guide in under an hour, adoption stalls after the first enthusiast. Second blocker: distribution. Training lives or dies on where people already look. If the guides can't be embedded or”
“I get it, and frankly I don't know about this app.But the parent comment positioned itself against all "LLM-aided apps", the author didn't say a slop or poorly coded. And even if it looks like LLM coded, we still can't tell about the level of thought that went into it. Developers had many poorly coded UIs and yet the apps functioned well and served it's purpose. So the entire chain of reasoning is a form stereotype forming. Looking at this specific app, I can see that the author thought about the”
“Honestly sounds like you've built something that actually addresses the real problem most students have, not the content, but the system around it. The "learn how to learn" angle is something schools completely fail at and no app I've seen really nails it. One thing that stood out in your post is the fixed schedule adaptation. Most AI planners just vomit tasks at you without caring that you have soccer practice or dinner or whatever. If your tool actually respects those hard co”
“Wistia has had engagement heatmaps for years, so drop-off data isn't really what it was missing. What it can't do is tie a view to a lesson inside your LMS, which is a different problem from analytics. Also you say lessons in one line and modules in the next, those aren't the same unit.”
“Just like the title asks. Has anyone used the Sibme platform? We just received an email that we will get PD on it and have to begin using it. I was curious if anyone else uses it and what you think about it. submitted by /u/Nearby_Drink_3791 [link] [comments]”
“Think we’re saying the same thing.I very actively work using LLMs (no “agentic” stuff) and agree with you - they are only really worth tasking out tedium to.But a lot of - say a DM feature - is tedium. Something simple like adding reactions, adding read receipts. It’s not hard at all. The LLM easily excels at the task and yet I didn’t have to do it. There are 1000s of those tasks. Handling file uploads, filling out a W9 and emailing it to the user, cron jobs for digest emails. All very easy prob”
“It's funny. ATS software has always sucked. Pre-AI, it felt like it was somehow technologically frozen in 1999. You're a content strategist, you say? Oh gosh, sorry, we were looking for a content manager . Our shitty '90s era software can't parse that these are synonyms. One wouldn't think it could get much shittier. But somehow, some way, against all odds, adding AI into the mix actually made ATS worse . It's long been a common piece of advice to customize one's resu”
“Does anyone have any recommendation for training/CEUs for documentation? i'm in the medical field and always looking to improve my documentation? i come from CMH which required extensive writing, but in medical SW, we can get by with a couple sentences for a note which i love but i would like to get some help with making sure i'm touching all the right areas. submitted by /u/lil_rick_james [link] [comments]”
“Our team is using Codex to develop end-to-end SCORM courses. It is packaged as HTML and embedded on Rise as a code block or reconfigured for SCORM if we want to emulate Storyline-like courses. Pros: 1. Can turn RAW SME input to Storyboard to final product (a vibe coded course with Storyline-like interactions) in 1-2 days. 2. No need to download media assets. All VOs and visual assets are generated in Codex. 3. Your creativity and patience are the limits. You can add 3D representations on your eL”
“We looked at it at my company, had some demos, and ultimately passed. For us it was too expensive and had too few features. We are very small and any CLM is probably too much for us right now, so YMMV”
“I’ve been tasked to find a learning platform where we can upload our own trainings and make them interactive. We have an HRIS platform and Not sure it fits this for us. Any recommendations? This is not something I’ve had to work with before. 70ish employees in life science. Thanks! submitted by /u/shinyseashells22 [link] [comments]”
“I would introduce one or two early deliverables with hand written examples and a page limit. We have a two-pager we use, then a less well defined next step that is a bit longer. Don’t let anyone make a 30 pager until you’re aligned on the two and five page versions. If the thinking is good on those, the damage done by the long ones is minimized.”
“I would not make the assessment engine, CRM, landing pages, email platform, and payments one selection requirement. Let one system own the questions, branching logic, scoring, versioning, and generated report, then connect the surrounding marketing and payment tools using stable customer and assessment IDs. Test partial completion, repeated assessments, answer changes, report regeneration, failed payments, and updating the scoring model after customers already have results. We use SIGNLD interna”
“Find potential users / audience and start doing user interviews. Youve got too much uncertainty right now”
“Thanks! Would you would use this to learn anything, or do you have something you use already?”
“You’re correct! While Meditech is super old & pain to use, charting on it was super easy and quick. The docs hated it because they couldn’t copy & paste - had to retype other doc’s findings, labs, scan results, etc. - for them it was longer. The only time when nurses had it better than doctors!”
“Haven't touched 5.2 yet but the AI stuff in 5.1 was mostly text generation and quiz question creation from my testing. The whole PDF-to-H5P pipeline you're describing sounds way beyond what they've baked in so far You'd probably need to build a custom plugin or chain a few tools together, the API itself isn't locked to one provider though which is nice”
“happy to poke around at it if you want, the docx-to-exercises pipeline is something i'd actually use for exam prep”
“I use a different form currently but it’s just annoying it’s not all in one system when it’s such a basic feature (and I’m paying for the organisational platform). It feels like something tiny they used to make people go up a price point in subscriptions, which makes no sense anymore (now AI is that differentiator), but can’t find out how to point it out to Notion.”
“Yeah exactly…lots of work lol. Which I can see how it’s necessary if you really are tuning your dev setup for the best. Are there frameworks or libraries you use to manage the developer side evals you do?”
“Im looking to set up a new local llm (probably on unsloth studio as that seemed to be doing pretty well last time I tested it). This one won't need to do agentic coding or app building or anything (not this time) but instead more 'text' based tasks such as - being given reference images and instructions, in order to then generate prompts for comfyui being sent long-form writing (paragraphs and chapters) and being able to sense-check and give feedback and rewrites. conversational help”
“I run training events. About twenty a year, usually 100 to 200 people in the room. Every quiz tool I priced wanted a monthly subscription built for someone doing this weekly. Twelve months of billing so I could use it on ten days. I sat with a spreadsheet for a bit and then did the thing where you decide you can definitely build it yourself. First version was PHP on a VPS. It ran real events fine until the room hit about 150 people, and then it fell over. It was a polling model, so every phone s”
“thanks so much for your feedback! the latency is definitely an issue; I addressed it now, and it should not be so horrendously slow. But still more to fix! The thinking model I use is where most of the time is spent, so my only option is to use a dumber/faster model (which I'm reluctant to) I'm curious if there's something you'd use it for again, other than just testing it out? Are you a student or active learner?”
“A quick look over (about 30 mins). Mentioned above. The main issue is latency. It takes a while to load. However, this is fantastic. I am not a mechanic so I thought I'd try "the basics of mechanics" I love that it gives you a deeper dive focus. In this case I choose Home mechanics. It's structure is great from what I have read. It places it in chapters and it gives you even further deep dives on certain aspects such as bolt tightness, torque wrench and the science behind it. H”
“I'd like a platform where each student has access to a private folder where I can share lesson PDFs after each session, while also allowing me to see all of my students' folders. Each student should only be able to access their own folder and not those of other students. I was thinking about using a simple Google Drive, but perhaps Moodle would be more appropriate for this? Many thanks! submitted by /u/Nearby-Poet-3527 [link] [comments]”
“Depends on your goals. If it was "make me hireable", you would have chosen Reactjs In the age of AI, two things matter IMO. Is it the best tool for the job? and are LLMs trained on this language? That means React, vanilla HTML/JS, and freameworks like Astro, Nextjs”
“thanks for the Q! yeah, i'd say NotebookLM is already competing in this space -- its a good way to learn. however, they're a bit different; notebooklm doesn't build you a specific course for exactly what you want to learn. it's on you to guide notebookLM with prompts personally i'm not really worried about competition; i would be happy if something similar already exists and serves my need exactly, so I'm interested to see if studymode.ca is useful others.”
“Just a question, is something like NotebookLM going to compete heavily in this space? It can already turn things you want to learn into videos, podcasts, etc.”
“For this use case, I'd lean Wix if the goal is to get something working quickly and have non-developers maintain it. I'd choose Next.js if you already know you'll need custom workflows or expect the LMS to grow significantly. The maintenance burden is probably the biggest factor here, not the initial build time.”
Haven't taken a look at your implementation yet, but I like the idea.
Lmao those are both skills my program focused on the most

“Hi everyone, I'm looking to expand the pool of agencies we work with. Do you have any recommendations for agencies that have experience with creating elearning for healthcare or medical education? Ideally an agency that can produce elearning end-to-end, so that means also having medical writers on board in addition to IDs/LXDs, GDs, etc. You're free to recommend your own agency, but I'd place a higher value on recommendations from someone in the community who has worked with you. Req”
“I'm talking about software training here (both internal and customer facing). Are people still using Storyline or Captivate to do this? Don't you find it extremely clunky? I'm sure there must be more tools for this. I tried it with Claude but setting the boxes and instructions manually was not worth the time. Plus I need a place to manage all of them. Any one here knows an existing solution for this, I'd be very grateful! submitted by /u/MangoMania77 [link] [com”
“> What are the exact "currently established methodologies" you're talking about that cannot be replaced by LLMs + a harness today, just as some examples? You're probably right that those exists, but I'm curious to hear what you think would be the most difficult to replace today.I was explaining [0] under another post that programming is mostly translation works. You take a specs and you formalize it using code, like going from sketch to a proper engineering drawing. Software design is more creat”
