Hello everyone, I am currently having a bit of a struggle with a 3D-printed prop and I am not sure what the best way to resolve it is. I am printing the Elucidator from Sword Art Online as a gift for a friend. The sword is printed in multiple sections, but once assembled, I am noticing that some of the pieces do not sit completely flat against each other. The gaps and connection seams are extremely noticeable. I am also AMS/multicolor printing the parts rather than hand-painting the entire prop,

Still need to hunt a few funkos, print more bases, hang a NSabers Darksaber on the left wall... Maybe print one or two more hilts... Got a printed Stormtrooper helmet and a printed E11 blaster also, might also hang then somewhere. Maybe add some vinils or decals on the wall, some fancy lights... Got a lot of ideas and not that much time :p All the sabers .stl are free from the web, most of them from CaseStudio8 and UniMatrixRed... These guys are AWESOME. Edit: forgot to upload it without sound..

I made a Samurai logo magnet for my fridge :) I've done a bunch of little magnets/keychains, original and recreations of games and stuff, but this took more work to get to come out (almost) perfect than nearly anything else I've made. Printed with a .2mm nozzle, it's only 2.6 inches tall by 2.04 inches wide (66mm x 52mm) and 4.5mm thick It was a surprisingly big pain getting it to come out without an obvious print line appearance on the surface (love 3D printing but the aestheic is u

Been tinkering with this wee project for a while now, a fully 3D printed telescopic micro fishing rod that folds down small enough to chuck in a pocket. 🎣 I’ve now also added a working 3D printed reel upgrade, with no extra hardware needed. Free to download on MakerWorld if anyone fancies giving it a print. 👍 Fully printed fishing rod link submitted by /u/Sacred-Joyometry [link] [comments]

I am attempting to build and print ODM swords for my brother's Levi Ackerman figure (bc i lost the swords). I tried to build it in Tinkercad to scale, but when I sent it to my library to print, it came out paper thin. Currently, my model is 2 mm thick and 11mm in length. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!!! NOTE: I am very new to 3D printing; this is meant as an apology gift to my brother and i hope to fix this for him submitted by /u/Fluffy_Plankton

https://reddit.com/link/1vexba1/video/szu6s33ao9hh1/player Looking back at some of the pieces I ran for Comic-Con a few weeks ago! I printed this Goku head on the Anycubic Kobra X so I could bring it along for a day at the con. The machine handled the fine multi-color details and sharp facial feature retractions flawlessly. It had super crisp color separation with zero stringing right off the plate, and the print got a ton of great reactions out on the convention floor! Tagging: u/Anycubic #Star

It has been awhile since I touched 3d modeling and was suggested by another redditor in this community to use fusion360 and so far so good. It feels like some of the old programs I am used to and super easy. I am making a pen and flash drive organizer while slowly adding more details inspired by a game called Satisfactory I have been playing. Currently there is not much that makes it stand out from other designs but I am having fun with it. Any design suggestions are welcome same with next proje

I was tearing out a technique I was told about in my firefly model post. About printing the model at an angle {thanks u/UserAbuser53 ). It really makes a difference in the details. I do have some questions about the metallic silks like this. With opaque pla, I can just file and sand it and make it look good. With silks, I've noticed it really makes the finish look much worse. Any tips for helping with some of the more rough areas from. The supports? Something that helps it keep it glossy pri

My son collects mini figures and action figures. I have tried printing him a few and they all turn out pretty bad. I did print the monster sized Back Room popcorn bucket and it turned out amazing... but the small figures with movable parts just plain stink. Would they turn out better with a smaller nozzle, maybe a 0.2 size? I'm new to the modern 3d printers, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. Thanks! submitted by /u/True_Certitude [link] [comments]

Hi all, I will have nieces and nephews over for a visit soon (ages 4-8 years). I thought about printing some gliders for fun ... and there are indeed many to select from. Many of those builds look somewhat fragile ... Do you have any recommendation for me? To be clear, I do not expect those to survive a lot of abuse, after all, they are meant to be lightweight, but I would like to start with a sturdier model, especially with the youngest of the children. submitted by /u/lw_2004 [link

Hi everyone, Does anyone happen to have a printable 3D model of Blaid? I’m specifically looking for the original in-game model. hi all, ive been modelling a character i want to 3D print, i've created the base for it to stand on, but im not 100% if the base will good enough to support the model, just wondering what would be a good way to make sure the base is correct and wont cause the model to topple over? so im not wasting my resin. ill be printing the base in resin & hollowing it out at a 30% infil the other parts of the character were also printed with the same infill. thanks submitted by /u/Wipeou
