“Every single one of my new grad friends immediately make 140k+ salary. I'm a Data Science major and am switching to SWE to follow suit. I'm already doing a software dev internship and have been grinding CS classes. I'm sorry, but the freedom given is so tempting and I'm so exhausted about stress. I realize it's not guaranteed to be ROAD at the end of this, it's not guaranteed to be a surgeon after this, and the amount of freedom and money now in AI is tremendous. Lets be”

“I'm currently interning at Meta and have one more internship before graduation. For my new-grad search, I want to stay in NYC and find a good balance between total compensation and early-career growth. Amazon, Google and LinkedIn are on my list so far. Which other companies would you investigate, and why? I'm interested in more than the logo or the headline offer. I'd like to understand where a new grad gets useful mentorship, real ownership and room to grow without sacrificing compe”
“graduated may 2026, and at the start of September, i signed an offer that starts in aug 2027 (wanted the feb cohort but it was filled)…at the same time i have recently received an offer for another companys program for new grads. now i feel terribly guilty because if im accepting this i would be accepting it knowing i am gonna leave in aug (for the other offer at a company i really love..its more famous and has more brand name and slightly more aligned w the industry i want to be in long term).”

“graduated in 2024. No internships, nothing outstanding on my resume, but I got a job 2 months after graduating. It’s nothing fancy, about $90k a year, but it pays the bills. It’s hard to find anyone being positive because most people posting here are the ones who haven’t landed a job yet. Anyone who is working is more than likely not posting in this sub. Apply like crazy and do your homework on technical interviews and you will be fine.”
“If you’re willing to share, does anyone mind saying what their new grad salary is/was? I’m having increasing anxiety about obtaining a job but also not accepting a low ball offer. Bonus points if you happened to have the east coast purple logo as your first job and can share :) submitted by /u/Illustrious-Ease-894 [link] [comments]”
“Hi, Im currently a new grad physical therapist in the state of Illinois. I was wondering what the average new grad pay should be. I've been searching around for jobs and many places want to pay 75k or less. I've heard from people in my cohort that they have been getting paid 80K or higher. I'm honestly not sure if they just got lucky or I am being low balled for salary due to being a new grad. I'm starting to get to a point where I am frustrated because of such low pay where I wo”
