“Hi everyone, I currently live in northwest Indiana. My hourly rate is $44.78 with a night shift of $4.50/hr, weekend differential of $4/hr. I am in emergency room RN with a BSN, TNCC, EPNC, NRP, BLS, ACLS. I also have 13 years of experience with nursing. I have been in EMS as EMT for 6 years prior. How much will the rate be in St Louis? Is it more or less? I try using glass door, indeed, and payscale with a lot of variations and discrepancy. Any help is appreciated. Thank you submitted by”
“Hi everyone! I’ve been a NICU nurse for about 6.5 years and I will be relocating to the Denver area next year. All of my nursing experience has been in NICU and moving to a new hospital would most likely mean night shift if I want to stay in the NICU. I don’t think I can put my body/mind through that. Are there any dayshift jobs out there you guys would recommend for a Nicu nurse? Is the clinic life rough? I’m also afraid that I’ve pigeon holed myself with only having Nicu experience. I don’t re”
“I’m considering applying to one of the Boston hospitals. I’m currently in outpatient specialty and currently making $107k as a clinical nurse coordinator with 8 years of experience. My question is, how are our ratios? I’m not looking for a leadership position in Boston, just looking to start on the floor again. Also, with the pay ranges being so wide, where does someone with 8 years of experience sit on the pay scale? submitted by /u/charlie03087 [link] [comments]”

“I work as an LPN in the province of Alberta and I really enjoy my scope. I can spike blood, start IVs, push medication IV direct and care for my own POD of highly acute patients. My husband and I could be moving to another province and he’s looking for work (I have no idea where we’ll end up.) I’m wondering what other provinces have a similar scope for LPNs and which provinces should I avoid? One of my friends said that LPNs in New Brunswick are essentially HCAs and as much as I love HCAs and ap”

“Hi guys, Little bit of back story: I currently live in Canada and have always wanted to move to the US. I have been applying to nurse residency programs over there which sponsor TN visas but have only heard back from a few. I graduate this December and am planning to write the NCLEX shortly after. I got a job offer at Center point medical centre in Kansa City, Missouri on the PCU unit. “I'm currently attending a community college to become a nurse, specifically a CRNA, but I don't know if I want to remain in the US in the future and I assume it would be rather difficult to transfer all of my degrees and certificates to practice in another country, as well as, learn the regular and medical language of said country, so I'm interested in researching other jobs. I specifically like the pay of being a CRNA, it has a $200k salary, so are there any jobs recommendations tha”

“Hi everyone! I’m currently a Med-Surg RN and will be transitioning to a Veterans Home position, working the evening shift. I’d love to hear from nurses who have experience working in this setting. My main reason for making this change is the schedule and how well it works for my family. I have a 6-month-old daughter, and this position will allow my husband and me to arrange our schedules so that one of us is always home with her, which is incredibly important to us. “Hello all, im about to be a new grad nurse and have a offer for the OR room as a circulating nurse. My biggest question is realistically would it be hard to transfer later on due to the experience in the OR being different to let's say the CVICU or ICU. I do like the OR room during my clinical rotations but dont want to get "stuck" if im not a fan 2-3 years down the line. I’m currently working in a SNF in Oregon, but I’m hoping to transition into a hospital position and relocate to a bigger city. “Hi everyone, I am looking for some input from experienced acute care PTs or recent grads 1-2 years out. I loved acute care and recently relocated to my partner’s city and have been interviewing for jobs for weeks and finally got an offer with a semi-local level II trauma hospital. “Hello all. I hope your nursing journey is going well! I relocated to a different part of town about 4 months ago and was seeking to work at this new Hospital that has been open for six months now. Im currently working as an ER Nurse for a different company for almost two years now and its quiet the drive to get there since I moved which is why I was seeking to change jobs. “Can I get into obstetrics (L&D) at hospitals in NYC, like NYP Presbyterian for example ? I know NY hospitals prefer to higher people with BSN vs an ADN. Also, some hospitals say you must have a BSN or higher to work in obstetrics. Thank you submitted by /u/BullfrogNo5953 [link] [comments]”
“I just moved from my home state to Virginia and I’m job searching. I have around a year of experience at an AAHA accredited large emergency hospital. I learned A LOT there. The catch is they were very strict in my home state so intubation, placing IVC’s, monitoring anesthesia, drawing blood and running any kind of labs were all tech only. I’ve seen these things be done and have learned lots about them but can’t do it alone yet. In Virginia assistants are allowed to do a lot more. I’m a student i”
“Does anyone here work at Stanford Health Care as an RN? For the reference check, do they accept charge nurses as references, or do they require a manager? I’m a little worried about my current managers finding out that I’m planning to leave, so I’m curious how Stanford usually handles reference checks. Do they typically call your references, or do they send an email? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you! submitted by /u/Glass-Force217 [link] [comments”
“Hi there, I hope you have an amazing time when you're in Canada! Regarding nursing, I'm not quite sure how easy it'll be to get your credentials recognized here. We write the REx-PN for licensing here. I'm not sure if you'd have to write the exam or if you could get your Australian license acknowledged somehow. In my province (Ontario), LPNs are called Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs). The scope of practice is essentially the same as a Registered Nurse (RN), except where ou”
“Hi all!! Just wanted to see if there are any Canadian LPNs on here who could give me some advice! I’m currently working as an Enrolled Nurse (similar to an LPN) in Australia as a scrub tech/circulating nurse. I’m planning on moving to Canada next year for 1–2+ years. “Not sure if the other commenters are familiar with the NorCal job market. I would say “start at a SNF, always at a SNF” is pretty true in the urban parts. Now, some hospital listings here say you can apply to hospital jobs with SNF experience, but that’s you can apply - it’s not you can get a job. When jobs have minimum 30 applicants (but more like 100+ right now), if even 1/3 of those have current hospital experience they’ll have no reason to pick someone with only SNF experience unless there’s”
“I am a new grad. Was told by a nurse that once I start working at a SNF, I would only be hirable at SNF/LTC, not hospitals. Is this true for Northern California RN jobs? submitted by /u/Nearby_Mess4061 [link] [comments]”

“Hey all, Aussie nurse here, wanting to work in the US and have an offer through an agency. I received my CES back and it notes I have a deficiency in OB/maternity with 0 clinical hours. “Hi everyone! My husband and I are both BSN RNs currently working in CO, and we’re considering relocating to OR. We’re looking into OHSU and are hoping to hear from nurses who currently work there or have worked there before. “I’ve seen several negative posts about the job market there, but wondering about my specific situation. I don’t need or want to live in a major metro area. I want more family friendly area so is the job market just as bad in these areas and what can you expect working part time? “To my fellow L&D nurses: Do any California hospitals actually follow AWHONN staffing recommendations? I was under the impression California had great staffing ratios, but I am being told this is not actually the case in Northern California. I understand occasionally having to fall out of those guidelines due to the unpredictability of labor, but not having that be the standard of care seems like such a disservice to our patients. submitted by /u/AppropriatePhrase271 [link]”
