“My toddler girl has had a habit of pulling her hair while she’s sleeping for quite some time now but i think it’s starting to get worse and i have no idea how to stop her. I have given her dolls with hair, didn’t work. I have tied her hair (or what’s left) into a loose ponytail…”
“My child is almost one year old and has beautiful hair. When down, it’s just starting to go down her back and in the front, it goes down to her nose. It’s very dark so she looks like an emo from the 2000s when her hair is down. It’s super cute but I really don’t want it in her…”
“Am I alone or does anyone else get filled with rage with their baby pulling hair? Well she does it mainly at bedtime I think it’s a comfort thing. I’ve tried putting it up she just pulls it out of bun/ponytail. I put a shirt over it so she can’t get it she pulls the tiny hairs…”
A recurring theme involves parents feeling exhausted and overwhelmed by the constant demands and behaviors of their toddlers, including issues like hair-pulling, sleep regressions, and a lack of cooperation. This leads to frustration and a desire for strategies to manage these challenges.

“It’s as if he’s excited and can’t wait to do it every time I pick him up. His little hands zoom right towards my ears and start playing with, and then yanking my hair by the strand, sometimes clumps to play with and examine. I’ve seen this question asked before and a lot of answers are akin to “pinch him” or “pull his hair back” (?!). Idk. I just wanna know if there’s anyone out there at this very moment who could give me some suggestions that do not involve hurting my child. submitted by”
“Hi guys! I have a 10 month old daughter with relatively long thin hair. It gets in her eyes a lot. I’ve been trying to do her hair, but the moment I start combing it back (gently) or handling it to put it in pigtails she flips out and starts reaching behind her head and pulling her own hair. She tends to pull the hair on the back of her head when she gets upset anyways. I’ve tried distracting her with snacks, breakfast, toys, another comb, almost anything and it doesn’t work out. Is there anythi”
“No matter which way you force it, the hair is getting pulled and the screaming and flopping around is intense. I need a damn dental pick set just to extract these stupid bows that fall apart and break but the wife loves them so they remain (she isn't the one that has to extract the alligator clips from said child's hair) submitted by /u/Work-Safe-Reddit4450 [link] [comments]”
“My little one is 20 months old 17 months adjusted and she’s been pulling out her hair and eating it. Has anyone experienced this? If so, did you find out why they were doing it? submitted by /u/georgialadyish [link] [comments]”

It’s very dark so she looks like an emo from the 2000s when her hair is down. It’s super cute but I really don’t want it in her face all the time, especially when she is eating. For a few months, she tolerated ponytails but lately she rips them out within minutes. It’s driving me crazy! I’ve tried moving the pony around on her head. I’ve tried soft”
“I have two girls, 12 months apart. The oldest is 17 months. She started walking at ten months and climbing about three months ago. I’m in the trenches. Anyway, my hair is often back in a ponytail and she climbs on the couch and starts messing with it, typically when I’m feeding her sister. Whether it’s this or her doing something else she’s not supposed to, I typically tell her no once and if she does it again then I put her in her play yard where she can’t get out. But she thinks pulling my hai”

I’ve tried putting it up she just pulls it out of bun/ponytail. I put a shirt over it so she can’t get it she pulls the tiny hairs that stick out I’ve tried giving her a fluffy bunny to replace the sensation she doesn’t care for it. It just hurts so bad and is so so frustrating when she is constantly doing it. submitted by /u/AgencyPreviou”
“My daughter was born with a lot of hair and it just gets crazier by the day. She is now 16 months old and cant see or eat properly if her hair isn’t up with some sort of bobble, clip, bow etc but she has recently started pulling them out and it’s driving me insane. Today for example we went swimming and I did her hair when we got out the pool at around 11am… it is now 3:30pm and I have had to fix her hair minimum of 10 times. I’m not one of those mums that insists their daughter always has a big”
“So my little boy turns 1 tomorrow, and since Saturday he’s suddenly been refusing to go to sleep at night. We’ve never really done formal sleep training, but we’ve always had the same bedtime routine. He sleeps in a little bed between our bed and the wall because he moves around so much that the crib just wasn’t working. I usually just lie next to him until he falls asleep. On harder nights I’d rest a hand on his back, which normally helped him settle. But now he won’t even let me touch him with”
