“House was built in 2019 and I think this is a random capped waste pipe , looks like 4” , what is it for!? Could I possibly put a toilet here? Located in the utility room submitted by /u/Master-Tumbleweed-71 [link] [comments]”

“How does this layout look. I’m at the glue up stage. All pipes are sloped to 1/4”. The video starts at the toilet with the 2” wet vent coming off behind it. That 2” pipe then leads to the dry vent rolled on 45. Around the corner is the wye for the vanity and then continues to the shower p trap. submitted by /u/AverageJ0e91 [link] [comments]”

“I am thinking of adding a bathroom in my basement and trying to figure out if it’s worth it based on what I have. I appreciate any guidance! There are 4 pipes sticking out of the ground. Pic 1, 2, and 3 are relatively close to each other and the 4th picture is at the opposite side of the basement. What are these for? 1-4” 2-2.5” 3-2” 4-4” submitted by /u/Educational_Writer40 [link] [comments]”

“This is the biggest bulge yet! On the left of the second picture is how it usually is. I had the toilet upstairs replaced with a new wax ring so I assume it’s not coming from there. What should or can I do other than calling a plumber? What are the first steps? I am a total newbie at anything plumbing! TIA! submitted by /u/SaltyByDefault [link] [comments]”

Could be sewage gas

“For starters, we have lived in our home for five years, and this has only become an issue in the last six months or so. We noticed a very small (smaller diameter than a pencil) intential opening directly under the upstairs toilet when it began suddenly leaking when the toilet is flushed. It will happen for a week or two every time the toilet is flushed, then be fine for a few months. Does anyone know what this is and why it is leaking? submitted by /u/EeveeErised [link] [commen”

“Not a wet vent because it goes between floors, and maybe other reasons. Do you have a bathroom sink/lavatory, perhaps from a different bathroom through a nearby wall?”

“Thank you for all this. Some responses.. Thanks for the confirmation! The stack does serve as a drain for the bathroom above all of this. I could do a dry vent up (and tie it in up top above the flood rim on the second floor), but… it’s getting the horizontal part right that gets difficult. Getting the vent from the laundry sink horizontally over to the stack. (Sorry - having a hard time explaining it) I would have to fur out the wall, or put the horizontal vent in the exterior wall, which makes”

“Hello I'm taking out my old kitchen units and found 3 pipes instead of the 2 I was expecting. Why is it done this way? Thanks submitted by /u/FitLiterature4907 [link] [comments]”

“They are tied together as a wet vent, which goes all the way through the roof. I don’t have a picture inside the wall, but you can see the wet vent between the toilets here. https://preview.redd.it/egvvt0jvbmoh1.jpeg?width=8064&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=032f508c0b23ae8269b85fc203578cdb7aee1fe7”

“Bro you see what kind of tile is there right? Unless those little 1” honeycombs made a comeback that tells me this plumbing goes all the way back to lead or cast iron closet bend - now there’s options to replace a flange quick and easy sometimes - not always, like for example a lead riser that’s well out of round through the slab, but those options are sub standard as far as I’m concerned and should only be used on a cast iron riser because the only other real option there is legit busting the f”
