“Hi All, I need to remove this cartridge to clean it as the water flow to this faucet is really slow. What's the best tool to loosen that (brass?) nut? I have tried every wrench and plier I have but it either does it fit or doesn't have enough surface area to grip it and loosen it. Is there a special tool for this that I can purchase or any tricks with existing tools? Thanks. submitted by /u/stampytheelephant [link] [comments]”

“Can anyone help me identify this shower cartridge? It's in a friend's house, the handle broke off and they are using pilers to reach in and turn the water on. I've been trying to look it up, but I haven't been able to find a similar threaded one. submitted by /u/sregnig23 [link] [comments]”

“We have this Riobel faucet which was leaking. I got the replacement faucet from the manufacturer but the brass fitting that holds the cartridge doesn't budge. I tried applying wd40 and used baking soda and vinegar to melt the hard water accumulation over night and still doesn't unscrew. submitted by /u/Historical-Turnip641 [link] [comments]”
“What next? It is a Damixa and I am not sure how to proceed. Should the cartridge come out just by pulling, or do I need to remove something first? EDIT: solved. I just had to pull it a bit more to get it out submitted by /u/BigFatHedgehog [link] [comments]”

I believe I need to remove the threaded section (indicated with the yellow arrows) in order to slide the cartridge out? I'm hoping someone here could verify if this correct. There are flat edges on the threads which I clamped channel locks to, but couldn't turn it. Might just be really stuck?”
“I am not sure which company this is. Moen or Delta. The house is built in 1941. May have never been touched. Need suggestions to remove. Please help. It had a horseshoe, and took it out. Not sure where i left it. Also you can see while i tried to remove and tore the pipe assembly. Do i need to replace the whole thing? Thank you for any suggestions. submitted by /u/Affectionate_Steak41 [link] [comments]”
“EDIT: you guys are the goats can’t believe i didn’t notice the outer ring was able to be removed. Thank you guys I got my cartridge out lol submitted by /u/BedFordEgremont [link] [comments]”
“Looks like you need to spin the back of the E clip to face the recess in the plastic (right side in pic) and then remove. Screwdriver in the small slots should work. Or get a bigger hammer.”
“nothing pulls off unfortunately... The plastic is very bonded to the metal. There are flat spots around the outer edge of the whole part but it won't budge either”
