“Sharkbite it then call a plumber in 10 yeard [re: Do I need to call a plumber?]”
“I was trying to replace an outdoor hose spigot and when rotating i twisted the copper pipe in the wall. I want to remove the twisted pipe and install a shark bite fitting and then they have sharkbite spigot as well that just slips on. Ideally I could do this without spending…”
“PVC will get brittle in the sun, at the very least it should be wrapped. Shark bites won't last too long underground. He should have used propress instead of the shark bite. Even if he was a "rookie" this is a crap job and shows laziness. Actually, get rid of the PVC that's on…”

“I was trying to replace an outdoor hose spigot and when rotating i twisted the copper pipe in the wall. I want to remove the twisted pipe and install a shark bite fitting and then they have sharkbite spigot as well that just slips on. Ideally I could do this without spending tons on a plumber. HOWEVER, I would have to cut the pipe right up against the 90 degree piece and therefore will not have room for the shark bite joint for a new copper pipe i would install. What could I do? submitted”

“Sloppy job worked until it didn't. When I stripped it you can see it was burnt and they even melted a hole where the only tooth penetrated the jacket. Too lazy to use a proper Polaris lug submitted by /u/oppressed_white_guy [link] [comments]”
“The idiots you speak of are the ones who come in and replumb houses from the attic down in Florida when the foundation is concrete and I have encountered the shark bites multiple times which result in really shoddy installs of downspouts.”
“The chance of moving that CPVC enough to get the sharkbite off is slim to none. As soon as you start prying on it, chances are one side or the either will break. And if you cut it out, you don't have enough pipe left for replacing unless you glue CPVC couplings and a piece of pipe in”
“Everyone saying pinch crimp rings are normal and acceptable are right. I still wouldn't want them used in my home. I've seen more failures on these than with shark bites.”
“If somebody has an idea, I’d love to hear it preferably right now I’ll FaceTime you and show you what the fuck I’m working with submitted by /u/Dickiesuits [link] [comments]”
“Shark Bites spin sometimes. I wouldn't recommend putting a spout on with the shark bite.”
“I’m a plumber bro, I replace them everyday, you don’t gotta tell me. sharkbites are homeowner bullshit no other way to say it. Most sharkbites fail due to being installed lmfao 🤣 there’s one of you yahoos on every single post in this sub singing about sharkbites while I’m laughing all the way to the bank.”
I couldn’t even get the tool in between those, had to cut the shit out.
