“For the other moms googling at 3am if it’s gonna hurt the morning of their procedure - girl it was fine. I’ve had 2 vaginal deliveries now and was skeptical when my OB said most people have a really easy time with it after vaginal deliveries. Anyways I loved my IUD last time…”
“I already went to the cardiologist and everything is fine but was wondering if anyone else is experiencing more ectopic heartbeats? I’m 10 months postpartum and still breastfeeding.”
“Has anyone else had an IUD for birth control inserted after the 6 week mark and had issues? Or just had issues with this form of birth control in general? got mine put in at my 8 week appointment and I am deeply regretting it. I feel like my doctor didn’t prepare me for the…”

“I had a tube removed this past November and I am now 8 weeks along with a healthy non ectopic. But oh boy is that scar tissue sore to stretch out! Anyone dealt with this situation before? I know it’s not a medical emergency and totally normal. Please tell me it gets better 😭 submitted by /u/shearsntears [link] [comments]”

“Has anyone else had an IUD for birth control inserted after the 6 week mark and had issues? Or just had issues with this form of birth control in general? got mine put in at my 8 week appointment and I am deeply regretting it. I feel like my doctor didn’t prepare me for the honest amount of bleeding and other side effects despite me asking all the right questions. I have always been adamantly against getting an IUD for birth control. I never heard great things about it and it completely freaked”
“Hello! I just wanted to share my experience with getting an IUD eight weeks postpartum if it helps ease anyone’s nerves! I got my IUD put in today (kyleena). I have had two before giving birth (Paraguard then kyleena), and I definitely felt the pinch and cramp, but it was not unbearable. I was nervous what it would feel like after having a vaginal birth, and I am here to say that I actually didn’t feel anything at all??! My midwife had a student with her and the student did the procedure, but wh”
“Howdy! So, I need everyone’s opinion about the Mirena IUD. More so to see if I’m experiencing any adverse symptoms. I had my IUD inserted in March at 4 months PP. It was suggested due to my PCOS and having more painful periods after having baby girl. It’s now July and in the past three weeks, I’ve felt awful. I get consistent migraines and have extreme fatigue/low energy. I get occasional cramping that is uncomfortable but manageable. When I’m cramping I experience mood swings and my spotting is”
“Buckle up for a long story… Went in for my annual in March at 15 months PP — while I was getting checked, the NP couldn’t find my iud strings and asked me to come back in a week for an ultrasound. I go in and they cannot see my IUD anywhere. They didn’t test me for pregnancy then, so when I got home I took a test for funsies and what do ya know… I’m pregnant! It didn’t show on the ultrasound bc I was like 3.5 weeks at that point. Fast forward to 6 weeks, I have an ultrasound bc I had a lot of bl”
“Has anyone else had persistent spotting on and off every few days? (I am getting tested for other things but everything is normal so far). 6 months postpartum submitted by /u/Ok-Chemistry3149 [link] [comments]”
“Going to the doctor literally tomorrow, but I just shaved for the first time and felt a bump. It looks like an ingrown hair but it’s not one. Took a closer look and I have a few of them. Has anyone had this before? submitted by /u/CreativeJudgment3529 [link] [comments]”
“Has anyone used the Mirena IUD and had a long period? How long? I am 8 weeks PP and had it placed at 6 weeks PP. I’m now on day 10 of my menstrual cycle. First cycle since having the baby and obviously didn’t start until after the IUD. I read that it could possibly last 3-6 months while your hormones adjust?! No one told me that. And I could have done the research but the little research I did, didn’t mention that part. submitted by /u/Weird_Object2936 [link] [comments]”
“Hi all, I’m trying to ask around and see if anyone else has had a similar experience as me since none of my OBs or mom friends are familiar with the symptoms I experienced. With my second I had a successful VBAC with no tearing - I did have minor “abrasions” that she applied a couple stitches to but not major whatsoever. In the weeks following I was so sensitive in that area that I assumed was due to the sutures and/or abrasions. But the sensitivity lingered after my 6 week check up and I ultima”
“Anybody else get a varicose vein on their baby bump? I am 26 weeks today and the bump is popping. I’ve noticed a dark blue vein to the left of my belly bottom get larger throughout this pregnancy but it has since gotten bigger and is now painful, especially after working out. I have heard of pregnancy related varicose veins on legs, but never on the abdomen before. Curious if anyone else has experienced this. I know abdominal varicose veins are a warning sign of other issues if you’re not pregna”
“My 6month old(turned a couple of days ago) has been diagnosed with RSV as of today and I'm so freaked out. A part of me feels like if I fall asleep she's just going to stop breathing in the night and I'll sleep through it and never know. I'm laying here just listening to her breath because I'm so worried about it. I have her humidifier going, we suctioned her nose before bed, I even put a folded blanket under the mattress on one end to elevate her a little. Her breathing isn&”
“Have any moms here experienced extreme joint (specifically ankle) pain PP? I am 15 months PP and I’ve had ankle pain since giving birth but it seems to only get worse. I was active before pregnancy, active during pregnancy and active now. It’s getting harder everyday bc the pain is awful. It’s the worst in the morning or after I’ve been sitting for a while. I plan to bring it up to my doctor but curious if anyone else has had this. I’ve lost all of the baby weight so I don’t think it’s a weight”
“Hi all! I got my IUD at 2 or 3 months postpartum, I’ve been nursing and just got my period back at 8 months pp. this is my first time with an IUD, I know they told me it could be heavier/crampier due to endometriosis, but how heavy are your cycles with the copper IUD? I know this is the first one and it’s probably especially bad, but I’m having to use depends/adult diapers, I went through a super overnight pad in an hour this morning. Weirdly I’ve had absolutely no cramping. I remember my first”
