Gardeners are experiencing issues with animal damage (raccoons, Liquid Fence), unexplained plant abnormalities (white balls, variegated leaves), and general garden upkeep. There's a sense of frustration and seeking identification/solutions.

“Northern NJ, we have lots of deer in our area but have never seen them in our fenced in garden, though they could certainly jump into it. I find new damage all the time, even from checking it this morning to checking it this afternoon there were more stems snipped off the tomato and zinnia plants, among others. “Can’t quite see enough detail but If they move, some sort of outdoor mite. If not, likely seeds from nearby plants or weeds. I’ve seen similar posts identified as red clover seeds.”
“We are lucky that crows and blue jays keep the many red tailed hawks we have around from coming very low. I have bunnies in my yard all of the time. They get chased by my dog and my sisters dogs but they don’t care. They just retreat until the dogs go back inside. I hear owls in the evenings by the bunnies are surely in bed by then.”

“I concur with voles. One year, my wife and I spent a lot of money on new perennials just to see them one by one die or disappear. Voles like to eat the bulbs of the perennials. I tried to figure out why they became such a problem. One item I identified is we were putting down more and more mulch. Voles though similar to moles don't burrow down nearly as deep as moles do. “My vegetable garden is being devoured and I don’t know what is eating my plants. Something ate my sweet peppers and tomatoes down like 7 weeks ago. Like almost to the roots. “So I have a neighbour who’s garden is just left to overgrow, he doesn’t maintain it and he’s made it very clear he has no intention of tidying it up etc. I have to cut ivy vines daily that grow into my garden, through the fence, over the fence, etc. his front garden has THOSANDS of Tom thumbs and now nearly every leaf has infestations of black aphids.
