“Hi guys, I found this online. I think we should send polite, yet firm emails about a few things: Low pay The unaccompanied minors issue (they have all the data on when riders previously get declined for being an unaccompanied minor and whether it is a school). The car seat issue The stolen/shaved tips issue. The women drivers issue (having to drive a great distance to pick up a women rider) Any other issues you can think of? submitted by /u/Careless_Change3865 [link] [comments]”
“Gotta love it when you get to a pickup and it’s obviously an unaccompanied minor. Uber says we can ask for id (nicely) which I did and the kid confidently told me he was an adult and 17… There really isn’t any hope for the future generation, is there? Anyway, PSA time: Remember to wait out the clock and collect your cancellation fee. If enough of these accounts get charged for being stupid, maybe they’ll get the hint. Fun fact: The kid tried to report me for using offensive language. I’m working”
“So after my $57 black car ride and unaccompanied minor ... I start the day with another unaccompanied minor in front of a high school, a night time drop off in South Central LA (I'm a female), followed by a batch of $4 female reserved rides that make me drive 30 minutes to the pickup, and another batch of 3rd party organization rides. Stop sending me to the hood at night, Uber! Stop trying to making me drive 30 minutes for $4! And stop sending me to high school kids that you refuse to verify”
“I have recently noticed an increase of riders who come into the car with a pouch 👝 or a bag in hand. It’s both women and men. Sometimes it’s a couple. They sometime want to seat close to you in the front seat. They want to have a conversation continuously, ask a lot of questions sometime repeatedly and pretty similar questions. They act very friendly. Awkwardly friendly! they want to talk constantly, they act friendly but you can very easily tell they are putting it on. However after they exit”

“Has anyone had this happen to them ? I did a 25 min drive today with a passenger named Isaiah who added a stop but backwards, so he had me take him to the first place and then back to the other place and gave me $5 for the 3 min difference. (Keep this in mind.) I then did about 4 more trips and ended my session and went to look at my earnings, I’m scrolling through my activity and I see “you cancelled” on one of my trips. Now I KNOW I didn’t cancel any rides because that was my goal for tonight.”
“2 bad experiences lately. One driver showed up in a totally different car and license plate. I got in after asking, he said it's a new car (3 days old) and it takes 10 days to update in the app. He had turned on audio recording for safety prior to me getting in (though obviously we are in a totally different car than reported) which perhaps falsely led me to think I will be okay. My gut felt this was a bad idea and 20 seconds into the ride I said I forgot something and asked if he can turn a”

“Ok folks, I've been doing Uber for 9 months now. I have given everyone a ride especially teens. I recently found out today, that Uber doesn't allow teen riders nor permission from parents. I found out because I change my bio and said ok parents, its school time and if u need a driver for your kids please im here. First I didn't know, Uber checkout the bio or key words triggered it. Uber send me a reminder of the law in California about teen riders or if mom text a message to me with”

“I’m an Uber driver/delivery driver and this Real-Time ID Check thing has turned into a complete joke. For more than a month, Uber has been repeatedly asking me to take selfies to “confirm it’s my account.” Fine, I understand the purpose. I’m not sharing my account. I’m the only person using it. I don’t want to split my earnings with anyone. I have completed the selfie verification successfully again and again. But the app keeps asking again. And again. And again. Today it asked me for a selfie 4”

“I may need to start using Uber for my wife to get around. She just is extremely worried that the driver won't help put her fold up walker in the trunk. She had metastatic brain cancer a few years ago and she now needs assistance with walking. She has no balance due to the tumor removal and has lost a lot of the ability to move her right side. My question is, as a driver if you pull up to a nice house and see a mid thirties woman with a walker, do you get out and help her with it? I can't”
“Is there away to get notified? Or do you just have to keep checking. I never see any in my app. Uber said there is no issue in their end. Am I just checking it at the wrong times? submitted by /u/Observationself [link] [comments]”
“Here are some of mine. Number 1- Asking “Been busy today? Not only am I a cherry picker and with Uber’s low quality fares being busy means you’re pretty much working for under mi n. wage. Number 2- Asking if uber is all that I do, is my main job o r I f it’s supplemental income. Honestly it’ s how this question is segue d. If we’ve been chatting and it gets to that poin t I don’t mind the question at all, but yesterday I had a lady ask literally as soon as she sat down and that was awkward. ”
“I've only been driving Uber on a part time basis, just a couple nights a week, for the past few months. I had a very uncomfortable situation happen last night and I am looking for any advice others can give on how to make this better if it happens again in the future. Since I have a regular day job, I typically drive late night hours, and I picked up a passenger last night that requested a round trip ride to a liquor store and back. It was a short round trip (less than a mile total) and I co”

I drive ALL THE WAY there, I am literally turning into the parking lot less than 10 seconds away and they cancel. Again, NO fee and I'm pissed asf looking around the area to see if i can figure out which one of these pricks in the area just screwed me. “Later in the evening I saw a Uber safety message and opened it up and liar Karen 1 star’s me for illegal driving and not polite. Here’s the kicker, I have a 100% CMT driving records as the image shows. I knew it was coming, but FAT LIAR tried to get me banned. Literally it was not more than a few blocks and low speed and less than 2-3 minutes from time of pickup to pulling over and cancelling her ride because she was being obnoxious with her phone blasting up her deranged music. Support says the”

The first time I contacted support, they told me they would try to reach the passenger. I never heard back. I contacted support again, and they said they would look into it, but once again, I never received any follow-up. After waiting, I took the phone to the police, thinking they could hold onto it, but they told me the”
