“Hello! In july 30th I applied for a spanish student visa in Guayaquil, Ecuador . I was supposed to start classes september 7 in Valencia. I had all my papers in order, an assesor, the whole 9 yards. I was pretty confident I'd get it. And then, ON SEPTEMBER 7TH (ha.) I got my rejection. “My university starts in January, and i had planned to go to Spain in December. Regardless of that, I haven’t done any single process yet, and wondered if it was too late for me to do so? I will be applying through BLS Mumbai, so if there’s anyone who’s done the same, I’d love some help! submitted by /u/Mysterious-Potato851 [link] [comments]”

“Hi everyone! I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has recently gone through either of these processes from the UK. I had my Spanish student visa appointment in mid-September 2026 and I’m planning to move to Barcelona at the end of October . My course starts in November. At my BLS appointment, they initially missed my six months of bank statements and Spanish address , but I went back afterwards and asked for them to be added to my application. A few questions: - How long did your student visa take”

“52 days today and still no update on my Spain student visa. My application was submitted at BLS Mumbai on 5 August , and the status is still Processing at Mission . I visited BLS Mumbai yesterday , but they couldn’t give me even an approximate timeline for when I might receive a decision. Does this mean the application can take an indefinite amount of time? At this point I genuinely don’t know what to expect. My college starts on 1 October , and I’m extremely stressed because I’ve already had to”

“I applied my student visa on 5th August from NewDelhi. My university was UPC. On 10thSept I got back my passport with visa refusal. They mentioned that my educational institution/program was allegedly not registered in the relevant national/autonomous register (RUCT/RCD). While my freind got visa for same course and same university and is flying today. My university handled everything and provided all document i should submit at BLS for my appeal. I appealed on 17th sept. My class starts from 28”

“Hi everyone, I applied for my Spain student visa through BLS Mumbai on 5 August 2026 , and today is 22 September, which is the 48th day since submission. My application is still showing as under process at the consulate , and I have received no decision or request for additional documents. My flight was booked for 22 September , but because I still don’t have my visa, I’ve had to cancel my travel. My university, starts on 1 October , so I’m getting extremely worried about whether I’ll be able to”

“Hello all, Did anyone recently apply to study visa in Spain, I wanted to know how long it took for them to give you the decision. I applied on Aug 13 in Dubai and I'm yet to receive any answer and my flight is on 26th, I'm afraid I miss it. I also contacted BLS and they told me they can't do anything, and the embassy can't be reached. Anyone have any suggestions? submitted by /u/PRorER_ [link] [comments]”

“At MIAMI BLS: I got the documents in on July 28th, received a subsanacion (request for extra documents) on August 25th and today it’s the last day I can get my passport before classes start and it’s still not ready. I desperately wrote an email to BLs and the Spanish consulate and I received a call 20 minutes later from the officer handling my case at the consulate. He basically told me that he has been waiting for the subsanacion, when I sent it some time ago (i even got a confirmation mail fro”

“Hey, I applied for a Spanish student visa on 29th July. The BLS raised it as urgent on Monday 14th August) and my Spanish uni also emailed the consulate about my case - still no response or positive update. My uni started last week and I'm honestly losing hope - is anyone else experiencing similar? Or have any words of reassurance? submitted by /u/Gooodvibesonly123 [link] [comments]”

“Im British and studying abroad in Spain for the whole academic year. I applied at the end of July for my long-term visa but the consulate gave me my passport back in mid July and said that I could give it back when the visa is ready to be affixed. I’ve just been studying in Spain using my 90 day tourist allowance so far whilst my visa is still processing I wanted to visit Morocco for the weekend but I was a bit unsure if I would have trouble re-entering Spain as I don’t have my student visa yet.”

“I know this is my 4th post here, and I’m really sorry if it feels like I’m spamming. I’m genuinely not trying to. I’m just extremely worried and looking for some guidance. Today is Day 41 since I submitted my Spain student visa application through BLS Mumbai , and I still haven’t received any decision. My flight is next Tuesday , and everyone I know who applied around the same time or even after me has received their visa, in most cases before their travel date. I’ve already contacted BLS Mumbai”
