“I thrifted a pretty, rainbow stripe dress for my daughter and she hasn't taken it off in almost 48 hours. She loves it! She has plenty of dresses, but for whatever reason this one has claimed a special place in her heart. The skirt flares out really far when she twirls, and she…”
“My bonus is absurdly tall for her age and it’s driving me insane how few items i’ve found that are in the ‘teenage’ sizes but suitable for a 3rd grader! I swear everything is ‘body con’ and ‘cropped’. No pastels and frills! Nothing she can run jump and play in! She’s still so…”
“Hey guys, I'm on the really small side. 4'11 and just under 100lbs. I'm trying to find a smock that fits, I have purchased several from Retro Stylist Wear to try but all are long and boxy. Even with ones with a tie in the back don't fit, as the sleeves fit weird, the neckline is…”
Parents are struggling to find clothing for tween daughters who have outgrown children’s sizes but haven’t reached standard women’s sizing. They seek vintage or unique styles, particularly 90s and early 2000s looks like Delia's and Bebe, often preferring black dresses with ruffles or asymmetrical hems.

“My daughter is ten and we are having a lot of struggles in the morning lately now that’s is getting colder. All of the girl’s jeans I buy end up too short. Going up a size helps with length but then they look super baggy around the waist. If I buy anything made of cotton, it shrinks 2-3 inches after a few washings. Athletic leggings were our go to but now my daughter finds them uncomfortable. The wide leg sweatpants that are in also end up too short after washing. We live in a rural area so our”
“I could use some advice. My tween is endlessly upset that she is skinny and short with no curves yet. People always think she’s years younger than she is, and it really bothers her. As much as I know that there’s no real way to help her understand what we as adults know about changing bodies and what a short period this is and how she is on her own journey/timeline, I was wondering if any parents of tweens or teens have any lines that have really helped their kid in this arena. It’s a bit madden”
“Going into this fall, my daughter has grown out of her previous leggings and needs more. She's a Girls XL 14-16, but everything she's tried on has been the right size but too tight in the upper thighs/seat (except Walmart brand, which had a waist that was too loose). We've tried Walmart, Kohl's, Target, Meijer and Old Navy so far without luck. Can anybody help me out? Thanks! submitted by /u/NoelMagentaShag [link] [comments]”

I swear everything is ‘body con’ and ‘cropped’. No pastels and frills! Nothing she can run jump and play in! She’s still so very much a ‘little girl’. Just a rant. If anyone knows brands i should steer towards that would be much appreciated-.- submitted by /u/doublebubbledb [link] [comments]”
“I like to start holiday shopping early to find the best deals possible. This year I'm running into a bit of difficulty. My daughter is 10 and very much into fashion, makeup, and girly stuff. I am the polar opposite. I do not use any social media (except Reddit) and she is not allowed those either. We're close and I know her interests but I would like to surprise her with some stuff too. For her birthday I gave her a Cloud 9 hoodie and she was thrilled! She wasn't expecting it because”
“If there is something that drives me the most crazy about kids stuff it is the absolutely insane range of sizes for clothes. How have we as a civilization not come to an understanding on what sizes mean and had them standardized? Look at this picture and guess what these sizes are. They are all within size 3 to 5. submitted by /u/Illadelphian [link] [comments]”
“My child is currently wearing a youth XL and shows signs of hitting another growth spurt. She is 8. She can comfortably wear an adult S shirt, but adult sized garments don't come in child-friendly patterns or cuts. She still wants to wear fun little dresses with strawberries or Hello Kitty on them but lots of kids clothing companies stop sizing at XL or 14/16. I need suggestions for like, big & tall clothes for kids. Anyone have recommendations? submitted by /u/PlumpRomantic”
“I wanted to get my girls some sweat-shorts and zip up jackets for after getting ready, or just to have in general. I don’t want them personalized, I want them to be able to wear them whenever. Where do you recommend to get these from?? I’ve seen comfrt being an option but I feel like their jackets look really bulky. submitted by /u/somegirlfromstl [link] [comments]”

Even with ones with a tie in the back don't fit, as the sleeves fit weird, the neckline is too low, and they just look bad on me. These have all been xs. I can't seem to find anything petite on Amazon or Ladybird either. Does anyone know anywhere that sells petite smocks? submitted by”
“My daughter (10yo, going into 5th grade), loves vintage and unique clothes. She's super into 90s and 00s styles, dresses and tops with fun features like ruffles or asymmetrical hems. Bonus points if they're black. Think brands like Delia's, ASOS, Bebe, etc... She's 5'1" and 105 lbs, so she's mostly outgrown kids' sizes but women's clothing doesn't quite fit her body yet. So juniors clothes might be better for her, I think. But it's been a while since”
“My ten year old is between size 14-16, she dresses modest. Doesn’t want her belly showing, she’s fit and tall. Long torso, 5’4”. Where does everyone buy clothes for their kids around this size? I need to buy her a whole new wardrobe- so price matters. She’s basically women size but she’s TEN! So women’s section isn’t going to cut it. She loves her bright colors and sporty attire, occasional maxi dress. submitted by /u/Racheddit [link] [comments]”
