And it's perfect if you have a self-hosted server, everything syncs to the server real-time and each device can download any updated files as soon as it comes online. If a client opens a file it is transfered from the server. 1) Works great on linux. 2) Works on windows as expected but on linux you need to run an ugly tool and select the files you like to have local. “Ive gone back to using sync-in. Even nextcloud, which does have full functionality on linux, has really janky app layouts on kde. I got seadrive working via someone's very helpful script to add in context functionality but it was only half working. “Nextcloud is complicated, it looks nice but it is buggy as hell and slow. Sure, it's easy to get running and all but any upgrade may break it and you're always one step away from losing data. Whatever you pick, just do backups. I personally like a combination of FileBrowser Quantum (web UI access), Syncthing (for the desktop sync) and SMB (for some cases). My only complaint is that Seafile claims to work without a paid license for up to three users, but what they really mean are three client machines.
