“The unit is pretty humid (2 floors, no AC in the first floor.) first picture is on the second floor, we can’t really open windows on that floor. 2 nd is in the kitchen with a window that opens to the street. We just moved in, I’ve had to go back home and my roommate found this. She thinks it’s mold. Also some paint is peeling off. The landlord said that she got the apartment repainted after the previous tenant moved out. Then the apartment was vacant for the summer until we just moved in, so 2-3”

“There are mold covered on all wooden surfaces of my room (which is a lot since my room has 2 walls of wooden storage system). “Hi all, we’re getting some new flooring installed in my parent’s home and when the contractor pulled up the old carpet (about 5 years old) they found some of this mold. It’s underneath a large window though we can’t find any moisture with a moisture detector. “A week and a half ago we had a ceiling leak in our basement, and when we had the ceiling cut out we noticed some mold in the wood. We treated it immediately and the spots haven’t spread at all or gotten larger since (I’ve looked every other day). “It's not a bad smell exactly. I would say musty is most apt description but not in a bad or moldy way. I would actually call it dry smelling (if you dry were a smell, lol). It's clearly coming from this wood storage box next to our fireplace/firebox. “Long story short, our ceiling caved in above my closet. There was no water that we could tell, only drywall and insulation. We’ve been waiting a couple of weeks for construction to come out, because they kept cancelling. But when moving stuff out today I found mold on my leather purses and clothes. “This is my bedroom wall that is right next to the toilet. The pics are two spots 1 and 2 on the same wall, first two pics being before I used white vinegar to absorb and then scrubbed with soap, wiped off with disinfectant.
