Try login in with email address, which will ask you for a verification code sent to that address. This option works fine

“I don't have this issue while using Google too. Deleting cookies might help. Though the Android apps itself are terrible and tend to crash every now and then. I can't even open my daily calendar without the app crashing three times.”

I was almost about to cancel my account and was looking for another solution. This helped me a lot.
“Settings > Layout > Show calendar by... (your preferred date property). If nothing shows up, force refresh by pressing Ctrl + Shift + R. Then yes, it is a mirror. Though you can't put in events from other actual calendars unless you have some syncing automation.”
