“Am I going crazy? Citibusiness Card is a liability account (credit card) TMH Bill Pay 6500 is an asset account (bank account) Why is this report showing the $10,000 payment as a credit to the Citi business liability account? When I open the transaction in…”
“Are you sure the last payment is the same as the others? I just paid mine off and I had to “call” to determine my final months bill”
It’s all set up through my bank info, not the debit, so this makes me feel a lot better! Thank you!
“It would only effect payments made through the debit cards. Perhaps, to avoid some fees, you could make a one time payment via ACH, or directly out of your account. You should still be able to make payments this way, because they do not go through you card.”
“Anyone else getting this? Never late, $2K balance across $45K limit, autopay confirmed at 150% minimum. Current crop since 2024 all PIF except 0% promo. Notification on dashboard. Click, and a box comes up pretending it doesn't know autopay status with small box to dismiss. Even after verifying autopay the notification will not go away unless an early payment is made. It's irritating because I expect a notification to be something that needs addressed, not a persistent payment reminder.”
“I have an Amazon Business credit card which recently got bought out by US Bank. The bill they send you says zero balance and does not show any charges or give an address to send payment to. the full bill was 2 pages but didn't show a single charge. I had to go on Amazon, look up my purchases and calculate the amount myself! So, I called them and they said they don’t send out balances anymore but roll the balance from month to month. You never get a bill while they get to charge 19.74% intere”
“You should have received provisional credit within 10 business days since they weren’t able to resolve the investigation in that timeframe. But they screwed up and didn’t enter the dispute you filed when it was received. And now the dispute start date is wrong in their system. They should have backdated the dispute to the date you actually filed it instead of dating it as the date they realized their mistake. File a formal complaint with the bank. They should not be waiting until Thursday to giv”
“I’ve gotten maybe 2 out of 15 to track properly over the last couple years, the rest just vanish into the void. The timing on when the charge posts feels like it's designed to miss the window half the time.”
“I paid for another month but I didn’t get the reset to 100% for the month. Anyone know what’s going on? Should I wait a couple days for it to come in or what? submitted by /u/Sodapop_8 [link] [comments]”
“I accidentally made a double payment on the 26th of August on my Verizon credit card. At the time I didn't have enough money in the account. Once I realized I added money on the 30th. The payment was posted in my account and now I have a negative balance but, nothing has been withdrawn from my bank account. Will synchrony close my account when the payment returns? Should I do something to maybe get ahead of it? submitted by /u/JojoAnthony [link] [comments]”
“I started the balance transfer through Chase on 8/24. The transfer showed as pending up until it was posted on 8/30. My Chase balance was charged the transfer amount + the fee, but Capital One is still showing the same balance. I understand it isn't instant, but I'm a little anxious because now both cards are maxed out until the transfer is cleared on Capital One's side. Is there anything I can do on my end? submitted by /u/Samurai_Mac1 [link] [comments]”
“Cleared the full outstanding amount on Aug 20. Meta hasn't reset/refreshed the available credit since. Ad delivery stopped 2 days ago. Contacted the support team. They say will get back in 24-48 hours. But havent heard anything from now till now. Maybe because it was sunday in between. Has anyone gone through the same? Can anyone help? submitted by /u/lokendra1511 [link] [comments]”
“Hello, I had trouble paying credit card and then I had some personal expenses that just left the card unmanageable.. I was able to settle and submitted my payment but they took 2 payments out of my bank at same time , they told me to dispute and then they would send the check back .. well now I got a notice that the settlement wasn’t fulfilled because of that .. I planned on paying it back once I got both payments I sent them , and then continue with the settlement. The settlement was only like”
“It unfortunately is an interest charge that even they can’t explain why. They’ve told me there was an error in the system and confirmed that my account was closed and has a zero dollar balance and that it won’t incur any further charges or interest of any kind. This was 7 months ago and it’s still continuing and every month I contact them and go through the same thing.”
“They still have to have a statement even if you access it on line. Go to the statements section of your account and pull up the last ten months worth of statements. You need to do this to actually see what is being charged. It shows it plain is day. This sounds more like a fee than interest. Here's the other thing, when you pay off a card that has had a recurring balance, the next statement will have interest and you have to pay that. Once you do, you should 0 out. If you did not do that imm”
“Thanks I’ll look into the app to see if there is an auto-pay statement balance setting 👍”
“Yes, you had it right with paying the statement balance, but you should've had autopay set up for it. You could've paid past the cutoff time the day before it was due, so the payment posted past due. If you use autopay, even if the payment is initiated the day its due and posts after its due, it'll still stop you from being charged interest (assuming it doesn't bounce and is for at least the statement balance).”
“UK post My Barclays App has 3 options for paying my BarclayCard balance - Minimum - Statement Balance - Other I use ‘Statement Balance’ every month, 1-2 days before the payment due date. Normally my Statement Balance is less than the full balance (don’t really understand why … I guess it’s due to payments that will go onto next month Statement) This has been fine and I get no interest charges. But this month they’ve charged me £50 or so interest!! I’m livid!! Have I just lucked out until now and”
“I have credit one bank card (8 years) If you maxed out the card and just made a payment they hold your available credit until after 5 days. Its always been that way. They do that just in case the payment didnt clear. They just need to upgrade their system because they do that when we used to send or mail in checks they hold the available credit for short time.”
“There was no prepay, they have no idea what card I have or will use. The question is whether upon return, when they charge a card, whether they will somehow retroactively change the rate.”
“I am just curious; if I pay my car payment on the 30th which is a Sunday, will it pull out my BOA account Monday or Tuesday? I get paid the 1st so hoping it will come out on the 1st and not the 31st. submitted by /u/Sea-Law8361 [link] [comments]”
“I use autopay and I notice on my autopay date (Aug 23rd) I got hit with a late fee of $29 and then immediately before that I see “reverse late fee (syst gen” for $29. What happened there? I’m hoping it’s just a glitch and I don’t get a late payment on file against me… submitted by /u/Dreameater999 [link] [comments]”
“i'm confused because I just paid my credit card bill and I tried to go into the store 20 minutes later to spend only five dollars for the card to decline. i called customer service and everybody I speak to says they don't see anything wrong with my account & its not flagged for fraud but yet my card isn't working and I'm getting frustrated because if that was the case, I didn't have to pay my bill yet has this happened to anybody else? And yes, I know the bank sucks... &#”
“Depends on the processing window times of the sending bank and receiving bank, the date the ACH file was sent, and the effective date of the file. Stale dated transactions process all the time. There is no way we can tell you for sure”
Anyone get this charge and have it screw up your pay over time payment??
“So about a couple months ago I got a new car and financed the auto loan through PNC bank through the dealership. We set up my payments to where I would be paying weekly and it would be through a program called Smartpay. This plan was set in place so I could my car off 6 months early. Everything was all good for the first couple of months, but as of recently I got a message and a email from PNC bank saying I didn’t pay my monthly fee and I’m late. Smartpay has been taking money every week, So I d”

guys … i’ve already paid off £5 so far … i can be saved ! 😃
“I am struggling a bot with your explanation because I have never had such an in depth explanation of credit cards and I am running off little sleep. However, when you say if I don’t miss a payment by 30+ days it won’t impact my scores but this one did :(. I made the transaction for my textbooks on the 21st or 22nd, it was processed by the 24th. I immediately paid the balance that day but processing takes time so it showed on my statement the 25th and my FICO credit score went from 710 to 698. I”
“Okay I will set up autopay. You are right, the risk of the late fee/interest is scarier. If I lock my card, would I be able to still use my account for bills or would I have to unlock the card everytime I pay the bill and wait for the charge to go through before relocking my card? I mainly use apple pay when in places, as I heard apple pay makes it harder for your information to be grabbed (idk if it’s true, it’s just what I’ve heard.) I don’t reuse any usernames or passwords, I try to make some”
“The risk of getting charged a late fee and/or interest from not having autopay is way worse than the risk of fraudulent charges. You can also get paper statements for no extra charge from the larger banks, and check those for fraud. You also need to make sure that if you get a new card because of fraud, that the recurring payments (subscriptions) don't get the new card's info. You will often have to call the bank's customer service and tell them to turn it off. You can also put more”
“Got a notification two days ago that my card was going to stop working a day from then. No email explaining why it was happening or what was up, just a notification that wasn't even permanent. The weirdest thing is that I ordered a new card back in April because thats when my old one expired so this card was pretty much brand new. I opened the app last night at 1am to see what was going to happen, they disabled that card, made me "Verify my identity" with that dumbass photo thing,”
“It was confusing, and I think deliberately so. I couldn't tell where payments were come from. It was weird. Even after I set up auto pay , they charged me a late fee , which doesn't make any sense. Way too much hassle with this card.”
“They said it was an error on their part and they have no acknowledgment that I signed up for it. They refunded all fees and they said this has happened to other people.”
“OP, you saved me a heart attack. I logged in to pay a $664.76 balance and noticed I had been given an $885.92 "purchase adjustment" (which was my EXACT balance due in May 2026). It appears they refunded all May purchases by accident? I'm sure this will get fixed soon but if not that would be quite the blessing.”
“I used flex to submit my rent a month ago. June 25, they submitted but cancelled it because I missed the first payment. July 3, I resubmitted my first payment and the rent through RentCafe and it went through. Everything was fine for a while. My property manager calls and says rent was returned due to a frozen account and insufficient funds. I am extremely confused because they took my first payment of $3500. Flex keeps saying that it was absolutely submitted. My property manager said she even r”
“I go to the same grocery store when I bought groceries Sunday for ~$60. I was on my banking app and there is no pending charges two days later. is there any reason it’s not showing? It usually shows up immediately if I look when I get home. I have a rewards app with the grocery store and I can pull up the receipt and it was paid and it says the last four digits so I know it’s the card. it’s been the same grocery store I go to for the past five years and this hasn’t happened before. submitt”
“Sometimes adding/removing a mail fee flag is a manual process. They may have forgotten to update the field/flag to not charge. Not sure exactly how your bank does it, but that was a field we needed to update when changing addresses for customers.”
“So basically sometimes I control my Meta Ads by simply setting a limit on the card after a certain amount. And what happened today is, I have it set to charge me for every 10€ spent, HOWEVER, today it spent... 100€, apparently. So I have a 108€ outstanding bill to Meta out of a 10€ billing interval and on top of that I received an order now that's 4x bigger than the usual big order at my shop. What the hell is going on? What do I do. If we exclude this huge order btw, the ROAS is shit, negat”
“What if recipients, like HOAs, charge a fee for ACH? That's my issue. Is the ACH fee waived of the bank has an agreement with the payee? Billpay is free at my bank.”
“I have a US bank credit card. I accidentally turned off the auto pay feature which usually pays my minimum credit card payment for my US bank credit card a few days before the due date Realized nothing had been taken out of my debit account as of the due date which is August 22. So I manually submitted the payment on August 22nd, at about 1230 pm during the day. But August 22nd was a weekend day, and now it’s August 24th, Monday, and the scheduled payment that I scheduled on August 22, the due d”
“I pay automatically on the 23rd every month. I've had many issues with Bristol in the past, so I checked on the 21st and it said "PAID" with this month crossed off. I checked again today and now my policy is cancelled and they're asking for even more money? This is like the 5th time this has happened. What do I do now? submitted by /u/Additional-Page6908 [link] [comments]”
“I had a Capital One credit card with an 11.7k balance. After I missed 6 payments, my card was charged off (they were sending me a warning email that they had to charge my account after 6 months), but I was able to see that in my app. I couldn’t make any payments, and any payment plans or settlement offers weren’t available to me at that time. After 3 weeks I started to see some payment plans (for the full balance) and after another week there were already settlement plan offers. There were like”
“Capital One credit card with about a $10k balance that I’ve missed around 8 payments on. It looks like it was charged off because it no longer shows in my app and I can’t make a payment. I’m calling them tomorrow when they open, but I’m really worried I waited too long. I’m getting $2,000 this weekend that I can put toward the debt . What should I ask for, and what are my options at this point? Anyone dealt with something similar? submitted by /u/ArmadilloOk1900 [link] [comment”
“My bank has nothing to do with it. It's the credit card, right? I guess it's normal if the credit card says "normal." I just have never seen it in the 20 years I've had a credit card with anyone else.”
“Is a 7-day payment hold normal with Barclays after making a large payment? I’m about two months into having a Barclays Samsung Galaxy card. Up until now, I’ve been making smaller payments and everything seemed normal. When I made those payments, I would usually see the payment show up as pending on my bank account pretty quickly. This time, I made a much larger payment, around $1,000, which essentially paid off the card. Barclays is showing the payment, but it says the payment is “on hold,” and”
“Hello everyone, I booked a hotel on Agoda for a trip planned a year before and I chose the pay later option which will automatically charge my credit card on July. On July, I got the transaction notification but since I booked it a year ago I thought I had paid it in full when I booked and thought it was a fraudulent transaction since it was a charge from London and the description says AGODA GBP. So I disputed the charge and called my bank to block my card. When Agoda charged my card they did n”
