“This foil was made using 3d printed molds, and a 3d printed core for the board and front wing as well as the track rails”
“Dozens of development iterations all done on a Prusa3D Mini+, later SLA prints at services. Small scale production intended to be a mix of FDM, SLA, CNC and one part that will have to be injection molded due to feature scale and finish.”
“First off, I have to apologize: I'm not great at CAD and I'm using Tinkercad. With that out of the way, I'm curious about how I would be splitting this model. The first picture is the roundhouse itself and the second is the lid that will be using magnets to snap onto the base. I…”
Multiple posts detail issues with 3D printed objects not fitting correctly. One mentions an Xbox controller part not fitting, while another describes a frog model requiring sanding and filler work. A third post highlights a part not fitting properly.

The first picture is the roundhouse itself and the second is the lid that will be using magnets to snap onto the base. I know I'll have to separate the turntable and then I'll be splitting both the top and the bottom into 3 separate sections each (about where the trusses are). I'm wondering how I should design these”
“Just got a X2D two weeks ago, first time printing and making a model. We have an existing shower caddy but she wanted an extra tray. I bought a digital caliper and went through so many different CAD softwares( ended with sharp3d with a student account) and finally made one. The tray itself isn’t sturdy enough so I made extra supports coming from the clip. The process was fun and challenging, just thought I would share. Any feedback is welcomed! submitted by /u/Clubbing_with_Seals [li”
“Hello. I'm new to 3d printing. Made my first fidget toy, but it has the first layer that is continuous. Is it normal? Or the model is wrong? How I can separate the parts? The back part is normal I have Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2, used PLA. All software is default, no mods. submitted by /u/Salyanochka [link] [comments]”
“I glued pla bit together but it’s slightly off centre and I was wondering if there’s a quick way to separate the pieces or am I stuck with it? submitted by /u/Sudden_Market5298 [link] [comments]”

“I know most of the 3D printer people out there have a 3D printer to build and create things. I may be in the minority but I am mainly using mine to help simplify/organize my life and work while printing some fun items on the side. That being said, does anyone have any suggestions of AI that can help edit existing models? I am pretty new to this still and can do some editing but need more help than what Chat GPT can guide me through. Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/Mammoth-Ad930 [l”
“I know everyone knows this but sometimes we all need a reminder. Your finder is not a good backing when drilling out a hole in a 3D printed part. I needed a hole to be a little bigger in a part I had just printed. I did not need to go all the way through the part... The drill bit had other plans. I went to urgent care just to make sure I didn't hit anything important. Today's lesson: Don't be an idiot. You know it's sketchy, you know you shouldn't do it that way. So don't”
“Little update on my last post, i managed to get a clean print, and finished the model. I ended up printing it on my kobra x, instead of the A1, so I might just copy the filament profile from anycubic slicer to bambu studio and try again. In the meantime, here's the finished model. As one of you guessed, it is an Onkey, and it came out quite funky. submitted by /u/LoricGarde [link] [comments]”
