“I’m having an issue where the filament seems to lift or curl upwards slightly when the nozzle starts extruding at a new position. Once the nozzle starts moving, the filament seems to lay down fine, but the initial bit doesn’t stick properly and leaves a small raised section. It seems to happen consistently at the start of each new extrusion rather than across the whole print. I’m using a Bambu Lab P2S. Has anyone experienced this before? Could it be related to retraction, extrusion settings, noz”

Right side is complete model, left side is the last set I tried to print, cut off around 3/4 finished. Middle is the current plate that cut off about 1/3 of the way. “I don't know what's going on I can't get this printer to work right, I didn't have any issues until last month. Now I can't print anything. Ad5m pro. Smooth plate. Pla. Default settings. Bed at 220 head at 55. Using magigoo adhesive. 608 bearing printer free spin roller. Tension screw adjusted properly. Even tried changing the gears. I'm losing my mind. submitted by /u/ManiacalMay [link] [comments]”
“My prints started having this bulged section with really inconsistent extrusion at the bottom of the print. The prints also came out 2mm short in the z direction. I tried cleaning and lubricating the z-rod to no success. There is also some minor under-extrusion somewhere else on the print so could it be a nozzle issue? I'm printing PLA on an SV06 Ace. submitted by /u/Thompson_Studios [link] [comments]”
“This issue just started out of no where. Looks like overextrusion maybe? Issues with the z -axis one way or another. This is about as far as it gets before the nozzle pushes it off. Im printing pla on an ADX5 flashforge, right out of a dryer with like 20% humidity atm. Any help is greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/gkibbe [link] [comments]”
“P2S, 0.4 Tungsten HF, PLA Green Mate Sunlu. Hey guys. Someone know why I am getting this weird texture with just this Sunlu PLA? I printed varios other plates with other mate PLA (Elegoo) and didn’t get this texture submitted by /u/Leading_Tradition471 [link] [comments]”
“The Nozzle is heating up properly, and it's cleared out, so there's no clogging inside of it. However as you can see, the filament doesn't go past the markings, and no filament comes out from the nozzle head. I cleaned the extruder properly, this issue was a pre-existing one from the previous owner of the printer. I once managed to get it running, but now it's stuck once again. What could be the solution for this issue? submitted by /u/Tnemmokon [link] [comments”
“Hi everyone, I’m printing with TPU 95A. The print starts normally, but after some time the filament suddenly stops extruding while the printer keeps moving and following the toolpath. I tried unloading the filament, cutting off about 50 cm, and reloading it, and the next print went further than before. Could this be caused by the filament itself, extruder/feed issue, nozzle clog, heat creep, or even bed leveling? Any ideas what I should check first? submitted by /u/EnvironmentalAd183”
“Hello I am printing a project I have printed many times before including with this sunlu pla filament but this time when I do it the printer is leaving large holes in the print I have tried leveling the printer and it hasn’t helped it is only this filament what am I doing wrong? submitted by /u/ThaneJackson03 [link] [comments]”
“This is the benchy model that comes on the USB stick with the CC2. I had the same issue with the included PLA and this is Elegoo PLA. Other than this, the print is pretty flawless and I’ve had no issues with any other prints. It’s possible it’s an issue with the file, but it’d be pretty silly if Elegoo included a dodgy file with the printer. I’d just like to get ahead of it so that if it’s going to affect an important or big print, I can check settings and avoid it happening. Thanks! submi”
“I’ve got this problem with a couple of my filaments where it goes into the middle of the spool instead of staying on the outside (if that makes any sense) and I’m unable to print with this. Anyone got a fix? submitted by /u/Mission-Western2311 [link] [comments]”

“I am beside myself with this filament. Overture Matte Light Grey and Black. Top surfaces and infill are terrible but perimeter looks fine. I have done the cold pulls to eliminate partial clogs, slowed down to 50% print speed, increased temp, decreased temp, tightened nozzle and extruder gear spring... it seems to print fine on my Prusa MINI but on my Neptune it is being a right pain! submitted by /u/TheLastKell [link] [comments]”
“I am relitively new to 3d printing and on my plate the filiment is like the picture (sorry it was a spur of the moment picture) i am using a k2 plus, creality slicer, the cfs, genetic and creality filament. “Hi all, I've been trying to print lithophanes, but i am running into this issue at specific regions. It looks somewhat like underextrusions or something even though I recently calibrated my extrusion multiplier and it looks good everywhere else. I even tried to print only the affected section and it still showed up defective. I am using PLA +, worth noting that in general I never encountered a problem with this brand of filament. I tried changing temp (180-220), changing speed (30-120), chan”
“I'd "love" it if someone had an idea of what I’m doing wrong here... ;) The thin-walled heart shell that I’m printing goes bad at the outer (slightly thicker) edges of the print, about where the “internal infill” starts getting replaced with “Solid Infill” near the edges of the shell as the shell goes upward (referencing the PrusaSlicer’s internal view) (See also the slicer movie here ( https://youtu.be/C2ZHjdbNaKc)). The shell is actually thicker on the sides, which is why the ext”
“Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me solve a recurring print-quality problem. Whenever I print parts with many small holes like the one in the photo, the top surface comes out very rough and messy. There seems to be excess/uneven material around the holes, and some of the holes look partially obstructed or poorly formed. submitted by /u/Xafniko [link] [comments]”
“recently I tried to print a paint rack. halfway through, the printer decided it wanted to make a tennis ball sized blob instead. every time I try to print something now, it seems to leak filament from the base of the nozzle (as seen in video). just wanted to know if this is a common issue or if there is an easy fix for it. any help would be greatly appreciated. printer is an elegoo neptune 4, just using standard black PLA, temps between 180° and 220°. problem only occurs when printing anything,”
“Hello! I am trying to get the printer to stop doing this, it’s a raised texture compared to the other parts. Sometimes globs of filament that are brown or darker than white get stuck in. “I have an Ender V2. Regardless of how many times I re-level, dry filament, etc etc. I've even changed extruders twice now. My prints end up with some lines filling in and being smooth, while others look like a 3d rendition of polka dots. “Every print that I make, any filament I use, it always has the same result. The bottom few layers are completely fine, then 5mm are complete trash and the rest of the print is again completely fine. The bed is leveled, the filament is dry, the printer is clean and stock, the nozzle is in top shape... Could this be like a spec of dust trapped somewhere on the Z axis? Should I take apart the printer and clean it properly? I own it for 3 years and this issue was there since I remember. It's an”
“I got multiple print and object’s on the same printer that all got this line at a certain Y value. It looks like the exterior wall that is under-extruded. Anyone else got this issue? If so, what is the fix? Edit: the first layer is atrocious but I adjusted the Z-offset after the first layer to get a good layer fill submitted by /u/ElouFou123 [link] [comments]”
“My A1 is severely under-extruding during prints. Manual extrusion works fine, but during printing the extruder sometimes makes a repeated “click click click” sound and the filament stops feeding properly. I did a cold pull, but it looked fairly clean. The problem seems to happen mainly under higher extrusion demand. What am i suoposed to do submitted by /u/Affectionate-Buy-711 [link] [comments]”

“Hi folks, I'm new to flexibles and foaming filaments and would appreciate your expertise to help figure out what's going on with my print. Setup: Bambu labs P1s Bambu Studio slicer Sunlu S2 dry box at 70C PEBA air at 270C I am printing directly out of the Sunlu S2 dry box as it's heating, the filament going into the ptfe tube on the back of the pr”
“I keep getting blobs forming on my print nozzle. I’m using PLA at 195 deg C. Printer is an Anycubic Kobra 2 Neo. Any ideas on why this is happening? I just replaced the nozzle, because the old one was clogged. It looks like filament is leaking around the top of the nozzle. Did I not screw the nozzle in tight enough? I’m pretty new to printing, I don’t know much beyond the basics. Troubleshooting is still a challenge. Thanks for the help. submitted by /u/SterlingArcher32 [link]”
“The print serves it's function perfectly well, so there is no reason to throw it away, but I would like to know what to do different next time. The filament is tpu 90a and the printer is a bambu p1s. The filament was fed directly into the printer as opposed to being fed through the ams. The filament was left out for a year (around 50% humidity.) before it was given to me (free roll). I dried it in my space pi drier at the appropriate setting for 12 hours before I used it. “On some prints, even on ones from the app that normally work, the extruder will click similarly to when it’s clogged and unable to push filament through (the wheel will click and move back and forth). But these times it will lay down a very sporadic first layer and then the second layer will be completely smooth. Anybody know what’s up? submitted by /u/Fickle-Lunch6377 [link] [comments]”

“I'm using a Anycubic Kobra S1 with the ACE combo attachment. The filament is Overture PLA. I've used this spool to print other items without issue. I went about a month without printing anything. Before I started printing, I ran the drying cycle on the ACE for 2 hours. In the picture , you can see the smooth surface is interrupted by jagged peaks. The front right portion of the print is very smooth. The rest of the print is very rough. What could cause this? I thought it was a case of we”

“Hello reddit 3d people, I need help. Just got my first 3d printer, a used BIQU B2 to be exact and in the middle of my third print, it started doing the thing that happens in the video. I tried changing the filament and it does the same, does someone know what it could be? I think it wasn't the model I was printing because it was a two part print and the first one came out fine. For clarification, I'm using PLA and 200° on the extructor and 60° for the bed and my slicer is ORCA Slicer. Ma”
“Hi all! Looking for some guidance :). At certain angles the print shows these ugly lines, or maybe that's normal? At other light angles the ugly lines reduce a lot. I'm referring to what looks like an uneven texture of lines. I did temp, flow rate, pressure advance, and max flowrate calibrations. Should I give up and accept this as a normal print, or is there more I can do in the slicer? submitted by /u/Ok-Broccoli5316 [link] [comments]”
“Has anyone seen anything like this before? I ordered this .4 stainless nozzle from Amazon. It failed on the first print. Printer said it was complete, but it stopped halfway through the model. Couldn’t extrude anything out of it. Tried to clear the clog and normal methods weren’t working. I cranked it up to 280° C and this is what came out. No idea what this yellow substance is. “This printer is a Creality Ender Neo 3 v2 Neo Been printing for the past few weeks with no issue, and this morning when I went to heat up my PLA the extruder started making this weird noise. “I have a spool of PLA. Not even halfway depleted and had to clean massive clogs 5 times so far. No such problems with other spools from same manufacturer, must be contaminated plastic in this one. Also, very brittle, was like that fresh from airtight bag. I can toss it in the bin. I considered getting a very wide nozzle, like 1.5mm and use it for big prints, it should be immune to clogs with that. What else can I do? submitted by /u/sharfpang [link] [comments]”
“At the beggining my printer's plate had a sort of dotted texture, but a few months ago I tried to print something but the filament didnt came ot bc it was jammed and it worked for like 30 min until I noticed, and there was this smooth square on the plate. “AD5X Had an issue where it kept giving me a filament timeout, but it pulls from the ifs perfectly fine. Seems to get jammed in the extruder but the weird part is if I feed the filament by hand it passes through fine, so does the clog puller, but if it tries to load through the ifs it can’t pass through. I’ve adjusted the tension screw multiple times, and nothing seems to fix it. Confirmed there was no issues in the tube itself. I replaced the black box thing (idk name) and this one does it too s”

I was sitting in the room most of the time the printer was running and did not hear any alarming sounds. I printed this same part a few other times today and this only occurred with the last print.
