“How is 61.50 for a 3 hour block an increased rate? Wtf is going on? Now they have 3 hour routes for 54$? Are you actually joking? This shit is unbelievable!!! You can no longer schedule blocks in advance because the pay is such a joke and now even the “increased rates” are…”

Amazon Flex and DoorDash drivers are experiencing significant issues including route length, package volume, block distribution fairness, lack of support channels, and earnings discrepancies. Many feel the system is unfair and disrespectful.

“Currently doing my normal block of 3.5 hours from 6:30 am to 10am…. They literally give me 51 stops with 59 packages… and they going to pay me $80.50 should I contact support about it because I find this to low pay for the amount…”

“I had a block tonight for 3 hours. it was far from the station, the clusters were all over the place in the area, and many of them were all rural (so pitch black, rough roads, etc). Not only were 9 of my deliveries late, but i went almost an hour and a half over. I tried talking to chat support and they wouldn’t do anything about the late deliveries, but said they forwarded my request for pay adjustment to the correct team. is there somewhere else i should message? an email? submitted by &”

“I got this as stop 33 on a route from my SSD on Oct 11. As you can see, the package is numbered (not AAA, BBB, etc.). The time due was 8 a.m. on Oct. 8. There was no such package in my car, but more to the point, it shouldn't have even been on my itinerary. I got Support to mark the package missing, but this is one of the weirder things I've encountered in the app. submitted by /u/LazyEmergency [link] [comments]”

“Past two days we’ve been given routes meant for a completely different warehouse dcm3 in Cleveland and they’re making us drive 60+ mile. Is this allowed? What as a driver can we do to fight back on these ridiculous routes. For context I just lost my job and this is all I have to make money till I land something full time. So denying the load at the warehouse isn’t really an option. It’s obviously exploiting the flex drivers in my area. The pay isn’t even increased. submitted by /u/Ho”

“I’m scheduled on 3.5hr and workers told us to go get a route they put the cart out on a straight line and you pick one and in my station it always a race for who wants to take the smaller package route, so this time I was closer to where the carts are so I already mapped out the cart with less package and what I was going for, So unknowingly I scanned a 3hr route it didn’t really click in my head until I was dragging cart back to my car then I looked at the paper it says 3hr route and I told one”

“Okay so I’ve been delivering for about a month. I have a full time job and do this on the side, usually early AM blocks (3-4 am start, sometimes 6-7 am) and after work evening blocks (5-6pm start times) and always 3.5 hour blocks. I do them on the weekends and weekdays. The furthest I’ve ever had a morning shift make me go is like 20 miles from the distribution center (for context- KC Metro area, pickup at Lenexa distribution center and deliveries were in Leawood near stateline) but 5 of my last”

You can no longer schedule blocks in advance because the pay is such a joke and now even the “increased rates” are laughable 😳🤦‍♀️ this is crazy! I dont mind the stop # or package count because i worked for a dsp for a year and know what im doing but they are making the pay impossible to make sense!? Im in the Columbus Ohio market if any”

“I had a 4 hour block scheduled went early, received my route finally, and holy moly my cart was full. Beyond the yellow lines for sure. I didn’t mind it still, I tried to take the cart to my car and it was so hard to control it (because there were HEAVY) boxes in there. However, still I didn’t have any issues. About to stop my cart so I can scan and load, my finger gets caught up in between a package and the cart and I lose grip. Literally ran for my life to try to stop the car, but as I am stop”

“I've been picking up 3.5-hour blocks around the 6:15-6:30 time for several weeks, and that's been going well. I've been very pleased with how DRT9 generally runs with people being friendly and professional. I've never been given a route with more than the 12-packages/hour rule I've seen posted, so all's seemed quite well. A couple of days ago, I finally hit level 3 rewards, so now I can request blocks a couple days further out, and all I'm seeing now are 3-hour blocks”

“I picked up a 3 hour route. The station gave me a 4 hour route & tried telling me it’s a 3 hour route but I know it’s not. “I’m gonna complain a little . Had a 3:45am route where they sent me to lake Elsinore from Bloomington. 50 minutes there and 50 back home. Only 25 packages but what does it matter if the houses are 3-5 minutes apart. Then had another route at 7:45 where they sent me to Moreno Valley. 28 stops 35 packages and guess what? 16 businesses and apts! “Got a 1-hour block last Friday (5:45 PM - 6:45 PM) out of Carson VAX3. Only 3 packages, but they were spread across two different cities right in the middle of heavy rush-hour traffic. I finished every single delivery well before my block ended at 6:45 PM, but the app gave me a late delivery ding on my Standing. Turns out the final package had a priority delivery time of 6:30 PM. Expecting someone to pick up, load, drive across two cities in LA rush hour, and deliver by 6:30 PM on a 5:45 PM bloc”

“I arrived about 10 minutes early to my scheduled block. Was given one package to deliver 44 miles away (50 minute drive) from the station. As soon as I got on the road, I received a notification and an email saying that my current block had been canceled. I contacted driver support immediately and they told me to mark the delivery as undeliverable and I can take the package back to the station by tomorrow. They said my standing will not be impacted since the block had been canceled. Driver suppo”

Called support and they marked the package as missing. Finished the rest of my block without issue. A few days later I notice my standing dropped due to an “incomplete block” Contacted support and they say they can’t do shit about it right now and that they’ll have someone reach out. “Once again this AM I had a 4 hr block with everything due in 2 hrs 45 minutes, which would be fine with few stops or less driving to the first stop and in between stops. But lately I’ve been getting routes like today’s- 50 packages/boxes, 41 stops, 40 minutes to the 1st stop, lots of apartments and some downtown hotels, lots of driving between stops (the route was mostly rural), and everything had to be there within 2 hrs 45 minutes. Several ended up late, and I never take breaks or stop for bat”

“Never had this happen before. Received a 4.5 hour block as a reserve offer last Friday and scheduled it, 8/10/26 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM. 48 packages 47 stops, including 1 Multi Location. Every package was due by 8:07 PM. I was able to deliver everything with 30 minutes to spare, and I wasn’t even driving like a crazy and was stopped at plenty of red lights/stop signs. But it seems unfair not to give me my entire shift time to deliver the packages on time. Had anything gone wrong, run into a traffic j”

“So I had a 3 hour route with only 5 packages, they were spread out a lot, the last one was 30 minutes north of the city. Which actually would have been great if I was going home after because it was on my way home. But I was going to doordash after, so it was a lot of extra driving. So I had an idea and I was wondering if anyone has ever done it. What if I called the customer and sus out if they seem chill. If so, I ask them if they mind if I mark the package delivered and then actually bring it”

“I waited about 25 minutes after checking in before I headed back to my car. Usually, you’re released with pay after 27 minutes or so. I played around on my phone and checked about 7 minutes later to verify I was released and was shocked I actually received a route haha. But then it defaulted back to the loading screen 🤷‍♂️😆 any advice? submitted by /u/Glittering-Potato139 [link] [comments]”

“It takes me less than two hours to deliver an average of 42 packages… this was 15 packages and took me almost 4 hours between leaving my station and getting back. As well as over 100 total miles. Absolutely not. I’m about done with flex. Uber is less consistent but if this is what it takes to make $100 with flex then I’m good. This is also my first ever 3 hour block. Usually take the 3.5 is this typical of a 3 hour? I’m just too stunned right now. submitted by /u/Klovezyofacee [link]”

“Today I had a block from 3:30pm -8:00pm for $90. I thought I was going to get at least 30 packages depending the distance, when I got to the station it took about 7 min for them to actually find the route but it ended up only being 5 packages, in all it only took me 1 hour to complete. It was the first time this happened to me I guess because when I got to the station there wasn’t a lot of carts, I’m guessing they didn’t really have much ready. My question is, does this happen often?? It’s my 2n”

“Has anyone else noticed a big increase in the number of packages/stops they’re putting into blocks lately? I normally don’t have an issue finishing my routes on time, but lately it feels like they’re packing way more into the same block time. And it’s not just the number of deliveries its apartments, access issues, grouped stops with multiple buildings, and stops that are 10–15 minutes away from the rest of the route can eat up a lot of time. I’ve had a couple of recent blocks where I was active”

“I am still fairly new to being a Flexer (under 1000 packages delivered). This just happened on a block/route I completed from an SSD facility. I did a pickup fom the one SSD facility that's close to me. I've done the majority of the blocks from there (The other 3 facilities are .com) I loaded the car organizing everything based on the letter method, so I didn't need to scan every package. On a side note, I originally did scan & number each package. What a waste of time!! I wasn&#”

“I had 2 late deliveries on 7/2, not outside of my block late but I noticed the promised delivery time was earlier in the day, hours before I picked up my block. And the incomplete delivery was another one that had a promised delivery time for hours before I picked up my block and the business was closed. This particular business is off a main road in a not so great part of town so there’s a huge padlocked gate surrounding the whole property with the mailbox even within the confines of the gate.”

“Did this happen to anyone else or am I just too slow? 😭 I recently started doing Flex and today I took a 3.5 hour block for $80 from 8:30 am to 12 pm. They sent me all the way to Bradenton(about 60 miles from the station) with 40 packages, including 7 apartment deliveries🫠 Between the drive, apartments, gates, and finding the right units, I didn’t get home until almost 3 pm!!!!!!!! When I worked it out, my hourly pay came out to less than $10 an hour. I honestly feel like I got scammed 😭 How”

“Is it just me Vegas or are they adding more time to these routes and more packages than ever before three hour routes take three hours all of a sudden I was always able to finish them at least a half an hour early but usually 45 minutes yesterday I went over and called. I had a 1.5 hour block today started @ 6….. i checked in 15 mins early… its now 6:20 and im still waiting for a route, meanwhile multiple other cars have pulled up after me and gotten carts w/ only 5/6 packages ….. im just wondering if anyone knows how they decide who gets what route submitted by /u/pocket-sunshine [link] [comments]”

“Would like to know also. Seems random based on when you check in and for what block length.”

r/AmazonFlexDrivers

“I wonder how that works, too. A lot of times when I check in exactly 15 minutes early, I might have to wait a long time or only get a few stops. Then I see the other drivers loading up two full carts (Whole Foods) while I still have nothing. It's frustrating. Maybe I should check in at the last minute?”

r/AmazonFlexDrivers

“Yeah ga. Norcross station. It's the next closest station to me. But I got a 3.5 L V 6. So I'm worried about a high mileage route then being far away from where I live. The .com routes seem to be getting longer in mileage”
