“As you can see, regular scrubbing does nothing for these pesky streaks that won’t go away. What are they and how do I remove/prevent them? Thanks! submitted by /u/erato12 [link] [comments]”

“In this case they could just use the leatherique prestine clean to remove the shiny residue without using the rejuvenator first. [re: How to make shiny, conditioner covered leather back to factory matte?]”

I don't currently think it's an issue, and it's it's nothing like other detailers that leave behind true coatings, but there's still a possibility the stuff being left behind to shine your car and add a little slickness isn't totally harmless. Only time will tell regarding that.”

“It’s a fibreglass anti-slip tray and all I’ve tried to scrub it off with is dish soap, cif cream and even cafetto. It looks clean when it’s wet, but it dries up with the same dirty look. Any ideas on how to remove the stains? submitted by /u/garfei [link] [comments]”

“Yeah, basically. Vinegar + alcohol is fine, it just ensures no streaks. My recipe is like 1/4 30% vinegar, 1/2 distilled water, 1/4 91% alcohol, then a few squirts of dawn dish soap. Mix it up in a big Zep sprayer bottle from Home Depot. Very effective exterior glass cleaner than lifts bugs, tar, and removes mineral deposits. I find I don't have to polish windshields or mirrors much any more. Important to avoid rubber components or paint, so you don't strip any wax or coatings.”
