“Something clicks behind the dash/ A/C and the vehicle loses power. Engine doesn’t turn off but it will lose any control from the pedal, lights and signals turn off and all the gauges lose power too. It isn’t battery or a grounding issue and I’ve had the crankshaft sensors, OEM…”

“I decided I might try Reddit for my issue. I drive a 2000 Nissan pathfinder, I am currently at 199,971 miles. I’ve gone to the mechanic twice for this issue now and they have not found it. It happens most when I’m coming up to a red light and I’m braking but I don’t come to a…”

Many car owners are experiencing unexpected and costly repairs, often due to seemingly minor issues or inherited vehicles with pre-existing problems. They're frustrated by the expense of parts, labor, and diagnostic tests, and feel overwhelmed when dealing with complex automotive systems.

“The check engine light is on, but the only error code is P0456 for Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (very small leak). It's got 175k miles on it now, at about 130k miles I started having transmission issues where it wouldn't move in first gear,…”

A few months ago I filled it up with some really cheap gas, and before I even finished that tank the check engine light came on with P0420 – Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1). Ever since then, I cannot get the code to stay away. So far I’ve: -Gone through about 2 full tanks of fuel since the bad”

It isn’t battery or a grounding issue and I’ve had the crankshaft sensors, OEM battery terminal, and the key switch done to try and fix this issue, nothing has worked. “I am trying to disconnect the electrical part of the O2 sensor and I can’t seem to get it off. I already pushed the white tab up and tried wiggling it out. Any help?(ignore the zip ties, I had to put some on because I broke the anchor while replacing starter last year) car is a Chevy traverse 2018 LS submitted by /u/Disastrous-Pace-8277 [link] [comments]”

It happens most when I’m coming up to a red light and I’m braking but I don’t come to a complete stop, the light turns green, I go to press the gas, the peddle is stuck and I lose all power, sometimes it’s 5 seconds sometimes it’s 5 minutes. If these aren’t enough details it’s alright and I appreciate your tim”

“Hi, I had my map sensor replaced about 2 months ago and it just popped on again on Friday as soon as I pulled into my driveway. Could there be a deeper reason that the new map sensor failed or could it have been a faulty sensor? When my friend ran the scan the second time yesterday, of course the map sensor code popped up but, a sensor for O2 (if I recall correctly? I’m not a car guru so correct me if I’m wrong) popped up. He cleared the scanner and ran it for a third time and only the MAP senso”

“2020 Duramax, 3500 Diesel Help I recently inherited a 3500 HD from my father who passed away. Only has 5k miles. Rarely used it the last few years, if at all, and as a result I’m now having a hard time getting her up and running normally. Long story short, she powers on fine, but I’m stuck with an emissions warning and reduced engine power warning. Things I have done so far: \- The diesel exhaust fluid was empty so I replaced \- Added Diesel Kleene + Bio Kleene and topped off the tank with fresh”

“I’ve had my 2014 Honda Accord LX for just over 6 years now. I used to take it to the Honda dealership where I bought it from since they also do multipoint inspections, but life happened and I can no longer afford maintenance and repairs there. Recently, I felt (and heard) my brakes sticking, and when my dad did a quick check and some research, he says it’s my master cylinder. The brake pedal was just a little stiff, then when I stopped pressing on it and just held it in one position, you could f”

“Tire went into a massive pothole and the plastic inner fender liner in the front wheel well has come loose and is sagging toward the tire. Several clips or mounting tabs are broken or missing, and the liner rubs against the tire when I turn. Is this something that will be expensive and will need to get insurance involved? submitted by /u/bilbobagenses [link] [comments]”
