“Hey, yall. My cat (1M) pooped a bloody poop on my bath mat (occasionally he poops there for some reason). He’s a typical domestic shorthair tabby, about 1 year old, with no significant medical history. His poop was wetter than usual with a bright red…”
“My spayed cat has swollen mammary glands and is yowling like she is in heat. Just realized she may have been exposed to topical estrogen cream. She is eating and drinking fine. If I stop her exposure to cream will this behavior stop? Or does she need to go to vet? submitted by /u/Wrong-Pitch-2539 [link] [comments]”

“Hi, my cat got this weird something on his nose. It's here for about two weeks, I'm getting scared that it may be something dangerous (He's two years old) The photos are here https://imgur.com/a/UqueFZh submitted by /u/Dark_Soul55555 [link] [comments]”
“Hello! Just to preface we have a vets appointment at 3pm tomorrow but wanted some advice - our cat had a small cut on his leg 2.5 weeks ago which under telephone advice from the vet, we cleaned and kept an eye on it. He sometimes gets these while out hunting (but usually on his paw pads). (EDIT: it’s on the front of his left leg). It’s been fine and healing well but today I noticed this small lump over the scab. He is playing, eating, walking and running as usual and was fine when I touched it.”
“hello. i adopted two kittens about a month ago, right now they're both 4½ months old. one female and one male. breed is british shorthair mix and female is a bit over 2 kg. sadly they have already began to go into heat. i'm working to get them fixed asap, though here it is common to only get cats fixed starting from 6 months and i'm having trouble being taken seriously since they're still 'too' young to go into heat. i am 100% certain the female is already in heat by her”
“Hello, I have a female Maine Coon who will soon be 5 years old, and I just felt (while petting her) that she has a hard lump on the back of her neck, about half the size of a golf ball. I’m obviously worried. As for her health, she has dental problems (she’s scheduled to have 5 teeth extracted), but other than that, nothing else. Is this serious? Thank you very much :) submitted by /u/Luna_Coeur [link] [comments]”
“My 2 year old Tabby cat "Tigger" Was taken to the vet last week. They examine him and done a blood test. They said he was okay? His symptoms was excessive peeing. Crying. And weight loss. They couldn't find anything and suggested it could be "mating season behaviour" and suggested keeping an eye on his weight loss. And even going to the city to the more facilitated vets that have Ultra sound and X ray machines. As of now he is still always sleeping. Crying. Eating but see”
“Sorry for the graphic photo - I’m trying to determine if this is emergency vet territory or if I should call in the morning. When I picked my cat up earlier today she whimpered. I then noticed her butt looks like….. this. She won’t eat, not even a churu. How urgent is this? Photo in comments. Oh also…. it stinks. Species: domestic shorthair Age: 4 almost 5 Sex: spayed female Breed: domestic shorthair Body weight: 12 pounds History: None Clinical Signs: Swollen, irritated anus with odor. Won’t ea”

“Basically the title. Calico female, 6 years old, 12lbs. Vet originally said she believed it was fleas and gave her a 3 month supply of topical flea treatment and we have kept a cone on her since. That was maybe the third of October. Tonight we gave her a foam bath to help her get clean since she cant groom properly wearing an Elizabeth cone. The original problem was the at the base of her tail and her paws. Licking till her butt was raw, toe beans dry and a small scab forming on a front paw. We”
“My male, 3 year old, American short hair cat recently developed hotspots for the first time. The first one appeared in early July, and I immediately took him to the vet. He was given a topical ointment that I applied every 12 hours for 10 days. The spot got better but did not go away. Almost right after stopping the cream it got worse so I took him in again. He was put under for a skin biopsy to check for infection and it came back negative. I scheduled another appointment and he had his blood d”
“One of my cats gram is around 3 years old. About a year ago he had urinary issues. He was bleeding lightly when going to the bathroom, he was growling and constantly licking his private area. I took him to the vet and they said most likely was fic or FLUTD and put him on medication and sent him home. He was fine after that and had no signs of it again. About two weeks I started seeing signs again. He started hiding more, going to the bathroom in the tub, growling after leaving the litter box and”
“i’d like to preface this by saying he already has a vet appointment for thursday i just wanna know if anyone’s seen this before. my cat recently developed a hard lump under the skin on the back of his neck and the other day he scratched at it and it bled. not a lot, and it scabbed over quickly but now it seems there’s chunks (?) of white stuff i’ve noticed around it like stuck in the hair and on the carpet. it doesn’t seem like an abscess to me, i’ve seen that before and it’s quite gross but thi”
“so my cat Priscilla, (2F) randomly just grew an enormous chin.. i mean her behavior seems completely fine and she doesn’t mind me touching near her mouth for inspection. I am just a little worried since her chin is just so abnormally large and she looks so funny. I do plan on taking her to the vet ASAP, but some advice on how I should care for her from now on would be great! also some notes: she eats fancy feast everyday, seafood pate only because she’s extremely picky. I’ve had her since July,”
“Warm greetings to all veterinary professionals. As the title says, I found a lump on my male cat (an orange Angora, 4 years old and neutered at age 2)—it was about the size of a 10-year-old child's fist—and just as I was about to take him to the vet, he started urinating a lot of blood. I took him to the vet, and they only gave him an anti-inflammatory injection and a fever-reducing injection... They told me to come back tomorrow so they can give him those injections again... I don't kno”
“My 5 year old male Bengal went to the vets yesterday due to the fact he had been hiding from me, not wanting any human contact and generally off colour. They said they found nothing conclusive, but he may have an anal gland infection, they tried to express his glands but no luck. They prescribed antibiotics and painkillers and said they will see him again in 7 days. This afternoon he has been more alert and not hiding as much, but I’ve noticed he has been grooming around his bum, and there is pi”
“I just noticed this on my cat. He’s been lounging all day and I just noticed this enormous bulge on his backside by his tail. He’s does go outside a lot but literally I haven’t seen anything even close to an injury or wound on him over the last week. I’m shocked. I’m taking him first thing in the morning. He is resting and even laying on it. He’s sore for sure but he doesn’t seem to be in distress which is why I’m waiting until the morning. link to pics submitted by /u/curvymeat [lin”
“I have an appointment scheduled for Monday so I will be getting medical attention for my cat. I've discovered a patch of white sores on the top of my cats tongue. It seems the area is eroding and creating a hole. He hasn't been acting out of sorts or stopped eating or drinking. Has anyone seen something like this before and what was it? And should I start feeding him soft food? I can only imagine its painful. I just saw it and am really terrified from the looks of it. submitted by”
“My wife and I noticed our cats lower lip is red and swollen tonight. I don’t believe this is an emergency but I am curious if we should take her to the vet tomorrow or see how it goes over a few days time. She seems to be eating normally and playing still. I included a picture of her to this post (Imgur link) But something to note, she plays rough with our other cat (in a playful way, no fur flying or screaming at each other). Any thoughts are appreciated. https://imgur.com/a/82yknoG submi”
“Before starting he has that swelling not on the base of the tail. But in the region little below the base on the down side of the tail. Okay so I've a 5 year old stray cat, who is with me from Childhood. He's a outdoor cat who goes out on the daily basis even after he's neutered. But around 2-2.5weeks ago I felt a swelled region on his tail . But at that time he was not reacting to it or looking like was in pain so I just ignored it as a minor thing because my dog also had formed swe”

“Hey! So my cat has had this small bump on her lip. I go to the vet so much that it almost felt like they were quick to make fun of me. So I wanted to monitor this for a bit and see what happens. It got a bit worse, like it’s moved from the right side of her mouth to the center. She’s been a lot more vocal, rowdy than usual which picked up around noticing this bump - not sure if they’re related. It’s also cooled down a lot in my area, so I’m thinking she might have lots of pent up energy. I’ve bo”
“Hi y'all, this will be a long post with a lot of details. I want to emphasize up front that I am obviously not certain about this, and I am ready and willing to accept that my doubts could be unfounded. Whatever the case, I have some questions and doubts about this that I cannot ignore for the health of my cat. In April of this year, a family member who I live with pointed out that my cat (Zelda)'s chin appeared unusually large, as if she had a growth. I hadn't noticed this myself be”
“I know the answer to this is to take him to the vet but we live very rurally and the vet closed at 12:30. Will be open again on Monday. Cat is licking his genital area a lot, only small amounts of urine in the litter box at a time. Doesn't seem to be in pain or obvious pain, even when probing his belly. Still cuddly and purring (I know purring can be a sign of streas). He is a barn cat. Didn't appear for breakfast but emerged early afternoon so I knew something was wrong. I am getting ca”
“A male cat , a little over 1 year old , not neutered , weighs 3.2 kg. I found him abandoned in a park after someone dumped him there. I noticed the black area under his chin about 17–18 days ago. I shaved the area and used Curesept Aqua spray as recommended by a vet, but there was no improvement. It actually seemed to get worse, and I later noticed another black area above his mouth. I changed his bowl to stainless steel and started cleaning the mouth area right after he eats. I stopped the spra”
“There is like one spot on my cat on the upper side of her neck that’s just red, and when I look closely it’s like little red spots, I used a UV light to check the spot but there was nothing there. What do I do? Do I need to take her to a vet? Species: cat Age: 4 Sex/Neuter status: female, spayed Breed: idk she’s a Turkish breed Body weight: 8-9 pounds maybe History: none Clinical signs: red spots nothing under UV Duration: I noticed it just now but I’m assuming it was there for a day or two Your”
“Hi all! I got a new ~1yr old cat a few months ago and I am a bit worried about a lump on her arm. Before adoption, she had gotten cat parvo and was in a sickroom with a few other cats, and before that, she had a miscarriage/c-section/spay operation. That is to say, she was definitely recovering when she came to live with me. The lump was not mentioned by the adoption center I got her from, and when we got her taken to the vet after adoption to take a look at a patch of ringworm on her, they didn”
“im in germany, my cat is a long hair cat, 16 years, doesnt really have an hystory, he was always pretty healthy besides a cold a few times, i dont know the species, i found a spot on his stomach with no fur, it looked like a hole, when he moved that holes stretched with him. it bleed very lightly but stopped in less then a minute, i cleaned it, but it doesnt look like wound. my brother cutted some spots where there were knods and brushed him, he said he didnt see anyhting and that the cat hasnt”
“My cat is a 12 year old boy and I’ve noticed one of his nipples has turned black? It’s black and shiny and is much bigger than the others. It doesn’t seem to bother him when I look at it and touch it, and I know that it has not been black previously. His other nipples are normal. Should I be concerned and what could be the cause? Edit: he’s a 12 year old orange cat (I think American short hair) who about 14lbs. He is neutered and has no other medical history. submitted by /u/Green_As”
“I saw my cat scooting across the carpet this morning so I checked his bum area to see if something was bothering him. His anal glands look kind of like pimples, protruding and white. There was also what I think was a piece of hair in his anus. I checked his litter box later and he did pass the hair I think and a strand of artificial grass (from his catio). The anal glands are still white and do not come off when I gently wiped with wet TP. Should I take him to the vet or is this normal for cat a”
“I asked this in r/CATHELP but wanted a little more reassurance, luckily a friendly stranger brought me here! So i’m pasting my original post. To add to this, I’ve had him for two years so I can’t say for sure if this is abnormal. I’m not able to share the photos in this post though. 😭 Hello feline lovers! I need some advice, my cat’s front paws are discolored and I wanted to know if this is something serious? He is 13 and doesn’t walk like he’s in pain but idk what to do. At first I thought his”
“Hi everyone, has anyone seen something like this in their cat’s mouth? He has a vet appointment tomorrow afternoon, but I can’t stop worrying. He’s currently eating and drinking normally and has no issues using the litter box. However, today he started drooling excessively. When I checked his teeth and gums, I noticed what looks like a sore. His vet previously mentioned that he had mild gingivitis that seemed to be progressing, so we’ve been monitoring it. We also discussed a possible dental cle”
“Yesterday, I found my cat's anus a little swollen. Should I be concerned? Will it become normal again by itself, or should I bring the cat to a vet? Should I hurry and go to the vet asap or see how it develops? She eats and plays just fine, but I don't want it to get worse. I took an outdoor cat in (and microchipped and vaccinated it), and she still poops somewhere in the woods in my backyard, so I can't check her poop. “hi, my cat is a 1 year old male (not neutered) and recently over the past week, he has had accidents outside the litter box, he peed on the bed accidentally and then today he peed on a carpet. this all started when he peed on another carpet a week back but that was because we accidentally forgot to open the door to the room his litter box is in (this only happened once and was the last time it will ever happen, was a horrible horrible mistake). he has also been excessively been licking his genit”
“hello all, this is my little lady toby (11-12 years old (we aren’t totally sure), spayed, about 8lbs, longhair). recently, she’s begun to over groom pretty severely on her belly and arms. she’s a strictly indoor cat who is the only cat in the household, and there have been no big changes to cause any kind of stress or discomfort. so out of fear that she somehow became allergic to something, we took her to the vet about a week and a half ago. after some bloodwork, we learned she has hyperthyroidi”
“my male cat - 1 year old - seems to have slightly inflamed, and hardened red nipples. it's only the lower two. what could this be? bringing to vet soon submitted by /u/LazyCartographer9660 [link] [comments]”
“Photos here: https://imgur.com/a/6g39VNM I thought it was a pimple at first, but I don’t see a visible “head” to it. Doesn’t seem to cause any pain or irritation, but she’s good at hiding discomfort. She’s eating and playing normally, so I guess this question is more for my benefit than hers? Thank you in advance! submitted by /u/KindergardinDropOut [link] [comments]”
“Info about my cat: - Persian cat, 4 kg, male Hi! My cat is licking his genitals more frequently today. He urinated on his litter but only a drop of it that was this morning. Minutes ago, he went to the litter, positioned himself as if he was about to urinate but he didn't. Afterwards, he just made a sound like he was crying and hissed afterwards. Now, he's just hiding The vet clinics here in the Philippines are very expensive. I'm only a student. I don't know if there is any publ”
