“For context, my cat hasn’t eaten in days, he has the appetite but he spits food immediately. His breath also stinks so bad so I really think it is an oral problem. Maybe he has something in his mouth or his gums hurt. I went to the nearest vet in our area and I explained the…”

“Last Thursday (7 days ago) when I got home from work, my 6 month female kitten came and said hi and then ate some dry food. She threw up twice about 10 minutes later. She ate a little bit after that and was fine. On Friday and Saturday, she would only eat the tiki cat baby thrive pouches. No type of wet or dry food, no matter what I added. On Sunday, she didn’t eat a single thing (tiki baby, churu, dry treats) and was hiding under my bed. Through all of this, she was otherwise playing and acting”

Maybe he has something in his mouth or his gums hurt. I went to the nearest vet in our area and I explained the situation that he hasn’t eaten in days. The vet checked the temperature and my cat has a fever. Checked his mouth only for my cat to struggle so the vet didn’t bother to check it further but she acknowledged that my cat’s br”

“Hello vets of Reddit! I was hoping to get a second opinion about my concerns regarding my calico Tequila (roughly 21 months old) regurgitating her dry food over the past few days. We had a 6-month checkup yesterday and the vet said everything was perfectly normal. I told him that I’d found regurgitated food over multiple days this past week and his advice was to crush her kibble down into smaller pieces so that they wouldn’t expand as much in her stomach if she eats too quickly without chewing.”
“My 10 yr old female cat has been regurgitating weekly ever since I moved into my new apartment (~3 weeks ago). She has adjusted decently and comes out to explore. She’s my only cat. I think she was indeed grooming a little often since she also was coughing up hair balls first two weeks. I got an indoor care churu and an equigroomer brush to help with this. She hasn’t had a hairball since but she still has been regurgitating every week. She’s: spayed around 9.8lbs No noticeable weight loss. I fee”
“i there! I’m an adult from the US that recently got a kitten three weeks ago. He is a young (we got him way too early I know, very long story). He had his first vet visit a 2 weeks ago and recently saw the local vet at the animal shelter again this last Tuesday where he got his first vaccine, both vets gave him a clean bill of health (getting neutered when he’s a bit bigger). He’s been not eating a lot but will eat a churu or treats if we offer them. (He typically eats 3/4 times a day wet and dr”
“Is anyone able to give me advice? I tried squishing the bits and no red tinge came off on the paper towel but I have no idea what it could be? I gave him an anti flea tablet last night, could that be a cause? This puke was from this morning https://kommodo.ai/i/5bJ9hpJiKBEKzWF8PbUn https://kommodo.ai/i/nRbs00LlU6ONOXeOXiQR 3 years old, tabby male cat, neutered submitted by /u/coochiflipflops [link] [comments]”
“my kitten hasn’t eaten since around 2pm yesterday which is very unlike him, we’ve tried giving him his normal whiskers wet food 3 times now and he hasn’t touched it. i’ve tried changing the bowl and the flavour and he still won’t eat. He’s been eating this exact wet food since he was born and he loves it so this is very abnormal. HOWEVER he did eat a few of his little biscuit treats? but only had a few of those left and they’re all gone. is it worth calling the vet? or should i leave it a bit lo”
“Hello I was told to post this here. So I have a new kitten she is about 4-5 months old. Last week she had diarrhea (found out my son was sneaking and feeding her to many treats) and I simplified her diet for 1 week to baby food (plain chicken), small amount of rice, and added a probiotic powder to her diet. The second week I started transitioning her back to her regular food (added a little kibble and wet food every day). That all went really well and two days ago she was returned to her regular”
“Hello, maybe someone here has tips, ideas and can help me My cat (now 4 years old, long hair, no specific breed) has had problems with her digestion since nearly the beginning, bottle raised. Start diarrhea and it took a loong time to resolve and find the problem. Now she's constipated and it looks like it had been ongoing for far longer than I realised. 9.9 she wasn't able to shit, I couldn't pick her up without her having a lot of pain. Vet made an x-ray and she was really full. Sh”
“Hello I have 4month old kitten and she’s a bit of a “grazer” if that’s the word eats a bit walks away eats some more, she is always very ready for food time meows for the food will takes a couple bites while it’s not even poured into her plate but she only eats about half of it. She isn’t underweight or anything, has a vet appointment tomorrow but she feels and looks to be the perfect weight, she eats kibble from her bowl throughout the day but I want her to finish her wet food so I can monitor”
“Hi everyone, would appreciate some advice/reassurance! We brought our kitten home yesterday. The poor little guy vomited soon after, the car ride was short but seemed pretty stressful for him :-( What's been a constant is that this kitten is always making biscuits - purring as soon as you touch him and kneading, and that he is ALWAYS down to play. That all sounds very kitten like to me, but he hasn't had his first poop yet, and it took him until this morning to pee for the first time - a”
“On August 26th we took our cat to the vet because he was regurgitating and possibly dehydrated. They took xrays and found he was constipated and they took blood work but all of that was fine. He got an enema and subcutaneous liquid treatment for dehydration on August 28th and was also given a miralax type med and acid reflux meds and gabapentin. He had diarrhea that same night and we thought he would be better but he just kept hiding and not getting any better. We saw him a few times step out of”
“I am calling the vet in the morning (since he is acting completely fine I am waiting til morning since emergency vets are more pricey and I am not sure if this is an exact emergency or not, since puke is normal looking) but also want to see if anyone has else had similar happen or any iseas advice etc. 9 month old indoor cat. Yesterday he vomited 3 times over span of several hours, liquidy light brown, like consistency of wet food. Only had dry food at this point, and its the same food I always”
“I just got a message from my cat sitter that they gave a "full scoop" of probiotic. The probiotic is actually in a packet, and they accidentally gave her a scoop (1-2 tsp) of my chocolate protein powder for two days. I have now directed her to use the packets. Do I need to get my cat checked out? submitted by /u/anon_Gate4941 [link] [comments]”
“hello! i’ve had my cat for a little over a year. she’s 1.5 years old, a black american shorthair. about a week ago she stopped eating all her food. she’ll nibble at her breakfast here and there and eventually will eat most of it, but will leave a tiny bit. this morning she ate the dry food out of her bowl but none of her wet food. she tried to hide under my dresser last night too. i called out for her and she came and slept on my bed like normal, but she doesn’t typically hide under there. one o”

“My kitten is a femal ragdoll - 13 weeks old. For the last two mornings, she had regurgitated her dry, both times around 6 am. The dry good is basically still solid when it comes back up. She hasn’t had any behaviour change, nor has she started avoiding the food. She’s been normal other than that. I would really like to avoid a vet visit because she HATES IT. Whenever she goes she doesn’t eat properly for like two days lol so any advice welcome. Also, if it’s best that I go to the vet, please let”
“I took in a cat who was dumped on the street by my apartment. He was given selamectin when he was trapped by a friend who is a TNR rescuer. He stayed with her for about 2 weeks while I moved, and I've now had him back for four days. He was taken to the vet now twice and they've checked for fleas. He had a parasite fecal test done today. I haven't noticed fleas at all or worms in stool. The vet sent me home with two doses of revolution plus, one to give to my new (7-month old) cat and”
