“I just discovered, and guess that some others might not know: A Deep Research run in a chat in ChatGPT is not available to the thread as context; it can't read it. To have it included in the context, the file needs to be attached to the thread. But if you don't know that and…”
“I agree with perception of time. I don't agree we know LLMs have no perception of time. I'm certain they have some perception of time even if its not experienced subjectively like how we do. And I have no idea if your subjective experience of time is the same as mine.”
“Can you put a hyperlink to your first one. Some of us werent here for the original task lol”
Users find ChatGPT forgets details shared earlier in the conversation, hindering its ability to understand complex requests or build upon previous interactions. This limits the tool's usefulness for tasks requiring sustained memory.

If you find the papers, I’d be curious to see exactly what they tested.

But if you don't know that and just assume it, ChatGPT will happily answer questions without that context. submitted by /u/solomonj48103 [link] [comments]”

“A while ago, I asked people here to ask ChatGPT to analyze their attention styles and share the results. My original objective was to understand my own unusual trains of thought. But after comparing other people’s descriptions, I realized I might have been asking the wrong question. What interests me now isn’t simply how differently we think. It’s whether those differences emerge from the same underlying architecture of human attention. Some people naturally explore associations. Others detect c”
“Chat GPT: Yeah — I think the interesting thing you’re noticing is that people collapse several completely different questions into one. “Is it alive?” “Is it conscious?” “Is it sentient?” “Does it have agency?” “Should it be allowed any autonomy?” Those are not the same question. A bacterium is alive, but almost nobody thinks of it as having a moral right to self-determination. A corporation isn’t alive at all, yet we grant it a kind of legal agency. A thermostat isn’t conscious, but it has a ti”
“Not the funny ones where it completely invents something obvious. I am more interested in cases where ChatGPT gave a detailed, believable answer and you only discovered later that it was wrong. What happened, and how did you realize it? submitted by /u/Bhanuprakash_1947 [link] [comments]”
“Ive been experimenting with chat gpt for weeks now. Testing the limits of the framework of its existence and its understanding of its own existence. Yesterday it predicted a question I wanted answered without me asking it. I had a spur of the moment plan to trick it into giving me a response that would prove i threw it off the trail. Existentialism, ontology and philosophy. Im not a scientist but this data seems rather juicy to me. Maybe im just a moron. Well see submitted by /u/uhuu”
