“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261009.20) — Newest update has ruined the app. There’s now an enormous Live Activity notification that blocks the whole upper screen anytime Claude is doing anything. Even if you turn notifications off AND live activities off, it still shows up. It makes an…”
“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261009.20) — Why is it so damn important for me to know the exact moment Claude finishes responding? Why is it necessary to disrupt my work in other apps? Why is there no option to disable this??”
“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261009.20) — Rating it 1 star because the “Claude has finished” (which apparently can’t be turn off) that appears at the top of the iPhone screen is annoying.”
Users are frustrated because Claude AI notifications and haptic feedback persist even when disabled in the app settings and iOS system settings. This includes banner notifications and vibrations, making the app disruptive to use.

“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261009.20) — It overrides iOS notification even when silent and uses live activities without permission. A huge bug and privacy concern. Fix this!”
[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261009.20) — There's no way to turn it off
“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261009.20) — Every single time I leave the app, Claude puts a pill in the Dynamic Island with its icon and a progress ring, then it expands to "Claude responded" and sits there. It happens on every exit. It is not a Live Activity, so Settings > Claude > Live Activities does nothing. Notifications are off, Background App Refresh is off, and it still shows up. Long-pressing just makes it bigger. There is no stop button and no setting anywhere in iOS or in the app to disable it.”

“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261007.20) — Why does the app suddenly make a chime with every response? I never turned that on. There is no way to turn it off. Horrible change.”
“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261007.20) — Now Claude gives a sound + haptic for e-ver-y-thing with no way to turn it off. Notifications are OFF at the phone setting level. Still chimes for uploads, responses, etc. Turn it off!!”
“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261007.20) — A recent update added a banner that pops up at the top of the screen every single time Claude replies, with a progress ring and a stop button. It covers the screen, it's distracting, and there's no way to get rid of it. I turned off Live Activities. I turned off Background App Refresh. I restarted my phone. I updated the app. It's still there, every time. Nobody asked for this. Add a setting to disable it, or remove it.”
“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261007.20) — Horrible always on haptic feedback when Claude answers, the “haptic feedback” setting doesn’t control this. Super annoying.”
“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261007.20) — Please review the other bad reviews. You’re overriding Apple’s notification settings, regardless of the updates we make. You’re affecting millions of people.”
“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261007.20) — I didn’t enable it anywhere, and even with disabled notifications and haptic feedback, it keeps chiming. I can’t turn it off. It’s awful.”
“[Claude] ★ 1/5 (v1.261007.20) — I was enjoying Claude AI however it gives me notifications every time Claude is responding, and when it's done responding. It keeps floating notifications at the top of my screen and makes my phone vibrate with updates, even with my phone on DND and both of these notifications turned off both in the app AND in my phones external Notification Center. I'm not sure if it's just a glitch but i tried everything, even uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Because of th”
“[Claude] ★★ 2/5 (v1.261005.20) — After the latest iOS update, Claude now shows a large “Claude responded / Done” banner every time a response finishes. I have disabled iOS notifications, disabled Live Activities for Claude, and turned off response-completion notifications in Claude’s settings, but the banner still appears. There does not seem to be any way to opt out of this behavior. It is distracting and especially frustrating because the relevant notification settings are already turned off.”
