“Just like Uber Eats does. You mean nothing to them. They will most likely make you out to be the bad guy. It doesn't matter if the doordash support sweet talks to you saying not to worry that they understand the situation. Nope they don't. You are the bad guy to them. Always. Rarely do they side with the Dasher on anything. submitted by /u/Merwhooee [link] [comments]”

“I’ve had some alcohol orders that had me seriously questioning my life choices. One time I was nearly assaulted at a beer vendor shortly before 2am. In the worst neighborhood you can imagine, because a cranked up dude with tattoos all over his face thought I was someone who owed him money. Another time at a similar beer vendor I was bit by a giant ass dog while waiting in line, luckily I was wearing thick pants cause the dog bit me right in my ass. The guy had the audacity to claim it was a serv”
“Twice in the past few weeks I've taken orders and started getting messages that were clearly directed at another dasher. The first time the customer was saying something about not understanding why Sheetz couldn't sub something out. I asked her what was going on and she told me she was responding to another Dasher, she had no idea what happened. I got her item, she was super nice. I think it may have been a case of the dasher unassigning and using the item wasn't in stock as the reas”

Is there a way to cancel a delivery after picking it up? I've been doing this long enough to sense when a delivery might go bad. Whether its the customer's crazy notes/instructions, or if there will be parking available, or if customer doesn't respond to texts/calls if I cant locate their apartment. I”
“I did a delivery today that was supposed to be a "leave at the door order". When I pulled up to the house this dude walked out to meet me with a big ass sword he was carrying on his shoulder. It was at least 4-5 feet long the kind of sword you'd see in game of thrones beheading Ned Stark. He wasn't aggressive or threatening with it but I still reported it to door dash which they escalated to their legal department. Idk if the guy had mental issues or just got the sword and want”

“The second I picked up both orders I get this message in app. I’m like great this person is going to be a problem. I told them I’m not sure how DoorDash works on the site because they just pay me to do the deliveries but I told them they can contact support and see if a refund is possible or at least a partial refund. I dropped off the first order and I message them I’m on my way and will be there in 13 mins. I get down the street and the order got canceled. $13.25 payout and a free lunch. I wil”
“I’m looking for some perspective on whether this incident warrants a formal report to DoorDash, and whether I should have involved law enforcement. The customer initially asked me to deliver the order to a residence two houses away from the address and delivery pin provided in the app. I told them I was not comfortable deviating from the listed delivery location, both because of the safety implications of going to an unverified location and because it was not the location I had been assigned to”
“Picked up the food, put it in my cooler then I get messaged. I was literally about to leave but I said screw it, no tip and the awkward approach I don't have the motivation or am I comfortable delivering this because it dragged on. It took 16 minutes to get someone on the phone while the guy called 3 times and eventually canceled the order. I didnt pick up the call. At that point they were begging and I wouldn't want to deliver just because the incentive for cash tip. Support helped bloc”
“Jesus Christ if DD won’t stfu about pizza bags. I already verified I have one anyway, you think I throw mine away after each pizza delivery? The cashier told me the order ended up being cancelled anyway. I decided to ghost deliver it to the guy’s hotel and get my full pay. submitted by /u/CoeurdAssassin [link] [comments]”
“Any bad experiences you had before as Singapore Lalamove drivers? Please share. As these 2 days I have received few fake orders which wasted my time and frustrating me. All lalamove can do was just canceled orders. Nothing serious have been done towards this annoying matters 😔 submitted by /u/New-End-6674 [link] [comments]”

“I have already warned you twice this will be long so don't read it if you don't want to So, Sunday night my leg started hurting. I did like three consecutive third floor deliveries. An hour later I was walking a little funny. By the end of the night I was in extreme pain. Come Monday morning and I couldn't even stand on my right leg or walk. Under load, my right leg was gone.. my neighbor actually had some crutches, and I went to the military base to get looked at. The doctor said it”

“I picked up a cash delivery for pizza hut because it was my last one was really close. I got there, and he tried to take the food from me and I told him he owes me money for it. dumbass customer had a store credit with pizza hut and thought it applied on a doordash order. I told him that he placed an order through doordash, and that if he wanted to claim it, that has to be done at the store, not on doordash. He shut the door on my face and didn't pay. Doordash support made me bring it back t”
“Quick lil rant cuz I'm pissed rn. This dude got onto me for parking in front of his house when I had a delivery to someone else IN THE SAME BUILDING (It was like a quadplex). I explained to him that I was just there for a quick delivery and he said "he doesn't matter". Like bro, it literally takes LESS THAN A MINUTE for me to deliver this food and mind you this was the only space on the side of this huge busy street. Anyways, am I in the wrong for being upset? Cuz I feel like I”

“I had a super sketchy delivery last night and the guy was a creep (no lights, long dark road, called me baby multiple times, tried to get me to come through his 6 ft tall privacy fenced back yard to hand him his order). I felt VERY unsafe and left quickly. Having been in this group I knew I could block him. So I called support, finally got to a human, was put on hold for 10 minutes all to be told there is absolutely no way to block a customer or a store or anything on the dashers end. Their only”
“okay, so I was having a really busy day at work, so I ended up ordering some food while coming home from Work and it was supposed to be delivered in 30 minutes, and the driver was assigned pretty quick. It was somebody on bicycle and had a couple of orders before my order, so he went and dropped them off. Then one order was near to my house, and then the Uber status showed arriving now and arriving now was at 8 PM, but then he didn’t arrive, so I ended up calling him, and he’s like oh, are you a”
“TL,DR: Was threatened with violence, banned a regular and was a bit shaken and almost kinda gas lit about it from the owner. Just looking for . . . thoughts? Similar stories? If you guys have ever encountered threats of violence at work, subtle, overt or otherwise from a regular, how did you deal with it? For me it’s an automatic you’re outta here don’t come back . . . “like even if I did I def wouldn't to someone propositioning over ubereats brah brah. this was also meet at door so no way but thanks for the food ig...after talked to support she asked if I wanted to be blacklisted from matching them again. uhh duh bruh. submitted by /u/DiscussionExtra1946 [link] [comments]”
“I had to drive a whole mile for this tip? How am I supposed to pay for gas? How am I supposed to pay my bills? Why does Doordash hate us? We should all riot and protest until things improve. submitted by /u/Based-Brian [link] [comments]”
“This aligns with experience company I work for had. For us, issues happened because delivery drivers are usually from nearby countries who are working like slaves and don't know any English. Delivery couriers could not find adresses and were just marking delivery as delivered, customers complained and we had to refund. Delivery companies are not interested to solve this problem as they have enough work and they are replacing their couriers on daily basis.”
“You can't even ask support for help to get help lol because this was the dispute text; I am disputing the "Incomplete delivery" violation for the Little Caesars Pizza order on Jul 11, 2026, due to severe platform support delays and explicit verbal assurances from the agent who handled the case. The timeline of the incident is as follows: The order required support intervention to proceed or cancel. I immediately attempted to contact support through the app. The queue times to conne”
“Short 2-minute clip of a woman completely flipping out on me at the pharmacy line today because she claimed I was standing "too close." I wanted to share this here because as drivers, it feels like we can't catch a break. We get shitted on while on the road and we already know the industry's reputation is in the gutter - bad drivers trashing lots with piss bottles have gotten us banned from parking at most Walmarts. So you finally find a place to pull over, walk inside just try”
“I do a lot of very short rides. I like them, but the rider has to be on time (at curb before I get there). Sometimes I’m canceling after messaging them to harass them. They are mad. I found out the rider gets mad if you berate them, leave them, and collect a fee. A report “cursed and yelled” not unexpected. So I’ve been experimenting with canceling and unchecking “charge cancelation fee”. Later (the next day) I request fare review, cancelation fee dispute. So far 9 out of 10 were automatically g”
“I’ve dashed about a thousand orders, and I have a theory I’d love to share. Perhaps it will be of no interest, whatever. I think there are two characteristics explaining the entirety of DoorDash: (1) the demographic of drivers will always, on average, be lower-income and desperate; and (2) there is really no accumulated skill to “dashing.” From DD’s perspective, they should be (what we call in economics) “price descriminating.” This doesn’t mean discriminating according to race, it means giving”
“No… no… she was pissed. Like embarrassingly so. To the point I went home afterwards and thought for a while. Eventually I came to the conclusion that ‘Wow. That lady was PASSIONATE about my food.’ She screamed at me that there was none left… so… that was the best and most memorable reaction I need her freakin energy for a commercial or something”
“Let me preface this by saying that I’m a dasher myself. Full time, over 7k deliveries. I have never once shoved my phone in their faces, especially not while they’re working and/or busy. I understand some dashers dont speak English and struggle with pronouncing English names, but still. It’s not hard to at least try to sound it out first, then turn the phone towards the employees, instead of fully extending your arm so your phone is less than a foot away from their faces. It’s disrespectful, rud”
“If you have video footage that directly contradicts what the customer wrote on Yelp, notify Yelp and ask them to remove the remove. You can also take legal action against the customer. At least contact Yelp. Now that I think about it, I wouldn't contact the customer directly. If they lied about one thing they'll lie about another. Sorry you're having this experience, especially on Yelp, they tend to be bigger asshats than the customers.”
“This happened last week. I pulled up to the address ready to drop off the food when I suddenly got a call from the customer. Couldn’t really hear them clearly and the only thing I could make out is them saying something about asking me not to give the food to the person at the destination saying something about how they ordered the food for them but that they don’t want them to get it anymore. I was confused on what they actually wanted me to do and had difficulty understanding them over the pho”
“How often do you have to be a dick about deliveries? Like I work with my fellow delivery drivers, fuel, sycso, coke etc. Asking if I park here, will I be in your way? Or can you get out if I'm here? I'm talking about car and the occasional freight driver, clearly parked in the delivery zone, no where to be found...then come out with a surprised Pikachu face, " um yeah, I kinda need to get out?" Like I never truely block anyone in in, but depending on vehicle, it may not be easy”
“And ya know what? Doordash will give me your food AND your money too 🫰🏾 Customer got antsy about their food and handled it wrong. In my city I'd be asking for it, showing up to someone's house so obviously aggressive and volatile. So I cancelled, too bad I had already picked up both of their orders. (Why spaz out when you knew you order from two different places???) Granted doordash has you pick up along the route from where you are, where the customer is and the closest restaurants al”
“I do. Not that I care about recording audio because not like I’m gonna say something inappropriate I guess it’s more of a who do you think you are thing I don’t know. Like you’re getting in my vehicle I don’t have to take you anywhere. It’s even weirder when it’s a guy. submitted by /u/SnooCakes3744 [link] [comments]”
