“It’s 7:30am here. Guy was clearly drinking already and almost fell out of his door when he greeted me before saying and I quote “you guys have no idea how much you do for me””
DoorDash drivers are encountering unusual and potentially problematic delivery assignments, including one involving a condom. Drivers express confusion and uncertainty about these atypical orders.

“A driver posted about a delivery that may exceed ~1100lbs, a comment asked what person would place this kind of order on DD, I commented that most people would have no idea that 60 pavers would be farmed out to DD rather than be delivered…”
“All I did was wait in the long ass line at customer service and unassigned as soon as the app let me without affecting my completion rate… submitted by /u/SoSuperblySubpar [link] [comments]”

I think they were trying to get my phone number and email to somehow try hack into my doordash account? I just delivered it to the address anyway because it was a decent pay order, kinda hilarious how they can't even use proper grammar in this ai filled world lol. submitted by /u/Ahoymcoyy [link] [comments]”

“I didn’t say none of that btw but wow this was such an odd order. I’m okay with delivering to “dangerous” areas because I have protection but I think any dasher getting a message like might discourage them from even doing the delivery. And then he requested a speech pretty sure it was for a previous delivery of flowers submitted by /u/edwardo53812 [link] [comments]”
“Had a delivery out in the boonies but it it was the last order of the night so I was like, alright ill take it. I pick up the order and immediately notice in the notes that the customer wanted me to drop off their order at some totally different address. Sent me a message too. I called support and got the AI. I asked what was I to do in this situation, and it told me to deliver to the original address. I said okay and delivered it the address and a guy was taking out his trash as I pulled into h”

“Delivering this morning and came across these notes…on a 4am delivery. I’m in Texas, I wouldn’t do this anywhere, but especially not in Texas (or Florida). It’s insane that they even have this on there. 🤣 submitted by /u/VoodooInfinity [link] [comments]”

“how is this even possible? i dropped off the order, took a picture, got in the car drove away. almost made it out of the neighborhood when “that’s not my house” so i drove back assuming i was going to have to grab the order and move it down a house or two.. nope! just kidding! customer didn’t recognize her own front porch. you can’t even make this stuff up. just wanted to share with yall, be safe out there &happy hunting today. submitted by /u/say_ofcourseiwill [link] [comm”

“Well, I feel like an official DoorDasher now because I got the infamous “Big order/phone call from DoorDash” scam tonight. $22 to pick from KFC, drop off in my home neighborhood when I’m thinking of going home? You bet! Immediately I get the phone call. (I almost ignored it because of yall) “Hello is this Dasher (my name)? We need to cancel the order from KFC” Me: Oh, ok. Scammer McScamFace “Yes but we still want to make sure you are paid for your time. How would you like to be compensated? On y”

“Waiting on orders and I got this "beauty." They even had a few deli items in the order as well. Who in their right mind would take that? I declined it of course... THEN THEY OFFERED IT TO ME AGAIN! It makes no sense that gas prices are going up, but earnings are going down. One of these days, I hope we get a proper delivery app that just charges fees per mile and per item that go DIRECTLY to the shopper. No tips would be needed then. submitted by /u/TheFlash1959 [link] ”

“Why the hell does DD do this? I know for a fact that there's multiple Sonics I would have driven past that are MUCH closer to the customer if I actually took this thing. submitted by /u/eddmario [link] [comments]”
“They wouldn't just let me substitute the Pink one she ordered with the purple one they had in stock. Nope, they wanted her to OK it. 🤣🤣🤣 submitted by /u/Mrzoggy8449 [link] [comments]”

“How do we feel about thanking the customer if they tip after the delivery, I feel weird saying thank you for tips but when they add it on after I feel like I should, I’m kinda at a standstill here. (I meant added on, I was typing to fast) submitted by /u/Time-Acanthaceae-897 [link] [comments]”

“First time happening. Have the wrong pin then shut the door. Good tip too so I’m confused. I just put it in the comment section. But now feel like a violation is coming 🤦🏻♂️ these people man. What am I supposed to do bang on the door until I get the right code or hold the food until I put the pin in 🤣 I know one CV won’t do anything but still. submitted by /u/QualitySound96 [link] [comments]”

“So I delivered a DoorDash to a small city right beside, where I usually DoorDash at and I pull up in the driveway and drop the order off at the house beside the driveway, and so a man comes out and says, what are you doing? I said, I'm delivering a DoorDash. He says well park on the street then. And then continues to tell me, he is tired of telling the haitians.. I am black, by the way, light skin and black. If that matters. But he was very mean, and rude, and it was like 1 AM and scared the”
“Got a weird request to go in thru the unlocked door and place on table, did not do it but do yall get weird requests and do you do them? submitted by /u/Street_Employment651 [link] [comments]”
“So first they try to send me one order for $8.50 to go 7 1/2 miles but with two big windows I decline and then they send me this one next which I still decline after looking at what was on there it was like a bunch of bags of smoker pellets and all kinds of BS, including the same window offer I mean, it’s an OK offer if it takes three hours, but there’s no way it doesn’t take more than that is my guess especially with 10 different stops. There has to be at least two of them that are a nightmare!”

“So I haven’t done DoorDash in almost a year and then a couple weeks ago I needed some extra money so I decided to do some deliveries and after completing a Home Depot delivery this popped up, I’ve never seen this before… wtf do you mean “ineligible for tips” like when did that become a thing? Is it only specific stores or entire businesses like this now? In the previous years I’ve done DoorDash I’ve never seen this before so is this new? (I stopped dashing immediately after seeing this bs)”
