“Hi everyone! Does anyone have recommendations for free RD/RDN practice exams or question banks? I’m looking for resources with MCQs, preferably covering all domains of the RD exam. I’d really appreciate any links or resources you can share. Thank you! 🙏”

“I'd like to read books regarding dietetics/nutrition to choose between the two or if I should look into another path. Also, please suggest if dietetics is better or nutrition is better (with reason if you kindly would)!!”

“Hey guys!! I am currently studying nutrition science in undergrad and I love it a lot. I enjoy learning the material, communicating with my classmates, speaking to my professors and building a relationship with them and also sharing what I know with others. It’s just that my family is now pushing me into becoming a PA, because the classes are pretty similar in undergrad and also I will be having higher income. I have a few hesitations on this, I am scared if I will have to retake my classes I do”

“Hello all- I’m looking for tips/websites that offer lots of CEUs per program. I’ve been slacking on getting my 75 CEUs this cycle (because of life events) and am trying to catch up (to prevent scrambling towards the end of my cycle). I have about 3 years to get 60 more. Anything clinical, wellness, counseling would do. I know getting a speciality is the most “bang for your buck” effective way to knockout 75, but I don’t have time to study for long stretches. I was considering FNCE, but that’s to”

A few things I'm curious about: What's the culture like on the nutrition and food service team? I've seen posts suggesting turnover is high. Has that been your experience, and if so, why do you think that is? How are caseloads and staffing? Is the tea”

“I’m not really picking with jobs if they are 80k and over WITH a degree but they make like nothing for all the work they do and their importance. I’m slightly interested in this field but the salary is throwing me off. submitted by /u/SnappleGrapplir [link] [comments]”

“Hi everyone, Thinking about way down the line pivoting to food science, nutrition epidemiology (moreso nutrient analyst WFH jobs rather than lab jobs), or regulatory. I have an MPH/RD. Any tips? I don't plan on going back to school. submitted by /u/SetIndividual8982 [link] [comments]”

“Hey everybody. Starting at davita next week. does DaVita make new hire dietitians with no prior Dialysis experience clock in for the first year? I have 6 years of clinical non dialysis experience. Ive been reading some conflicting info online submitted by /u/Parking_Air_8507 [link] [comments]”

“Hi everyone. I could really use some honest advice from RDs, dietetic interns, or anyone who has taken a nontraditional path to becoming an RD/RDN. I recently completed my Master’s in Clinical Nutrition at NUNM (National University of Natural Medicine) in Portland, Oregon. My plan from the beginning was to become an RD, but I didn't fully understand when I chose the program that graduating from NUNM would not give me the DPD verification statement I need to move forward with the traditional”

“Hello all, I have a couple of interviews coming up. One for a uni campus RD job and one in k-12. Any and all interview preparation tips are welcome and appreciated! I have my ServSafe cert but it's been a while and I would like to review the info without paying for it, so if anyone has helpful resources that would be a good ServSafe refresher let me know as well(: submitted by /u/Dizzy_Respect5296 [link] [comments]”

“Background: I’m an RD who currently works inpatient and have dreamt of being in the Regulatory Affairs/Food Labeling space for so long. I love the idea of contributing my nutrition knowledge to reach a broader audience, and am so fascinated with the food regulation/compliance space. I’ve been applying for jobs for a while now (at least a year now) and haven’t had any luck. I’ve done a lot of cold-messaging outreach to RDs on LinkedIn already in the regulatory space and most have said they ended”

“I’m a newer dietetics professional working diet tech/diet clerk in an acute-care hospital. I have my RD license I’m intentionally taking my time building my hospital experience and accuracy before moving fully into an RD clinical role. I’ve been learning a lot of the day-to-day systems—menus, diet orders, trayline, chart review, and now some basic DTR patient interactions. I’ve had some smaller accuracy mistakes while learning, and my manager has been giving me feedback and having me slow down a”

“Hi everyone! I finally made the decision to pursue becoming a Registered Dietitian. I have my Associate’s in Communication and now I’m working on figuring out the right path to my Bachelor’s and eventually a Master’s. I was looking at Arkansas State for my Bachelor’s, but I just found out their bachelor’s program itself isn’t accredited (even though their master’s is), and I can’t find any real reviews on it, so that’s giving me pause. I’m now considering University of Alabama’s online B.S. in F”

“I’m interested in changing careers and feel dietetics is a great fit for me. I have a B.S. in Psychology, and right now I’m taking anatomy / chemistry courses at a local community college to fulfill some sciences I’m missing. I’m looking for a thorough Masters in dietetics program that won’t overlook my lack of background in nutrition. My overall goal is to be able to take the RD exam after I graduate. submitted by /u/Mean_Tap8877 [link] [comments]”

“I am a third year dietetics student. I love everything nutrition and physiology. So many people in my family are doubting my career choice because of the average pay as an RD. However, I hear from sooooo many people that this career is going to skyrocket within the next decade. I have ignored my family obviously and stayed on my path. I am not someone who can afford to live a “comfortable life” with an income under 100K. I have been raised in a very financially unstable household and it’s not so”
