“Hi Dads, I’m a Dad of two (girl 5 and boy 2) and I have run into a problem that I have no idea how to approach, my Son has been getting steadily rowdier and I keep having to step in to stop him getting hurt, laying on the very top of the couch, climbing up coffe tables, leaning…”
“Hi OP! Just wondering if this is still going on for you and your son. Do you have a partner or anyone else that you can tell about this too? It’s really important to talk to your doctor about this and if it’s still happening, you should go to the ER and let them know what’s…”

Several fathers express concern over the behavior of a child's father, specifically regarding physical contact with the son that feels overly intense or crosses boundaries. They feel dismissed when voicing these concerns.

“My son is two years old. He recently started touching other kids private parts. This is really new behavior, and I’m trying to understand why he might be doing this and how to navigate and approach it correctly. Has anyone experienced this? submitted by /u/blendypen7…”
“Hoping to get some advice/perspective from Dads who had highly sensitive kids. Sorry if this sounds like a bit of a rant - aside from my wife I don’t really have anyone to talk to about this. My oldest (8M) is extremely sensitive. Lots of emotions, lots of fear/anxiety, doesn’t sleep well and never has, very sensitive to pain. Don’t get me wrong he has some amazing qualities also but managing the emotions/fearfulness can be exhausting. He doesn’t have many friends, or any close friends - I think”
“Hi all my husband and I have been dealing with ongoing discomfort related to our kids’ step grandfather (my husbands step dad). He always wants to play very rough with our kids and seems to lack physical boundaries. For example, he picks our kids up a lot, tickles them a lot, sometimes rubs their shoulders, pokes at them repeatedly. We know this is his way of building a relationship with them and playing the way he did with his own children but it continues to make us uncomfortable. There have b”

“I just got introduced to this term and it seems to mostly be about face touching. I’m a SAHM, 5m baby doesn’t ever do this. We lock eyes and laugh all that but he’s never reached up while feeding to my face. I wish he would but I’m not feeling insecure about it. Is this very common? Any other parents whose baby doesn’t really do this? He touches dad’s face but he also has a beard, he will touch mine if I’m there but it’s never fully on his own and never while he eats. submitted by /u”
“Desperate for some input. My son started school three weeks ago and we got a call last week that he can’t keep his hands to himself when he gets really excited. Notably during free play — hugging, sitting on other kids, pulling them down, touching during circle time. Both in the classroom and on the playground. He is smiling and having a great time while he does it but it has gotten to the point the school had to bring in a third teacher. He began OT this week and they are working on a plan. I b”
“My husband was giving our son a bath. I came in while my husband was getting our son dressed. I noticed something on our son's back. I asked my husband, "what is that?" He said it was a skin tag and that he had noticed Sunday evening. I turned on my phone's flash light to get a better look. Sure enough, it was a tick. Fortunately, my first aid kit was near by. I removed the tick and cleaned the bite. Now I'm reading that because the tick was on my son for so long I should t”

“My 3 year old became angry, when I took our 5 month old to his seat from the floor where the 3 year old was aggressively hugging him. The 3 year old came up to me, expressed his anger and poked me in the eye. Something that obviously shocked me that I lightly poked him back on his eye. No damage done (other than wrongfully teaching him, encouraging him to fight) I'm angry at myself for acting out and so quickly. submitted by /u/r2b2coolyo [link] [comments]”
“So my 6 year old sons father always slaps, grabs, our sons butt in a joking way, sometimes the grabs look a little too intense for my liking as a mother and as someone who was assaulted as a child. I’ve confronted him and stated I’d like our son to learn safe body boundaries and his butt is a private area so at this point I’d like him to stop also I’ve stated as a mother it genuinely makes me upset and uncomfortable. He then insists that I’m the one who’s making it weird. Idk I think it’s weird”
