“I searched those up I don’t think it’s either of those. I don’t see them on the leaves just in the soil. I made another post with a video of them.”

Later, I noticed an uncomfortable amount in a potted arborvitae on my porch. I sprayed with soapy water that seemed to do the trick for the night, but noticed there are still a bunch crawling around. Nervous about all of my other potted plants after I finally took care of an aphids problem on another plant last month. submitted by /u/chrislikesplants [lin”

“Interesting. How long ago was that? And was it for multiple plant pots? I barely considered it because I was too scared to bring other insects in and didn't think spider mites would have a reason to leave the pot when they're outside.”
“I pride myself in how healthy all of my plants are and have had no issues until now. Unfortunately I repotted over half of my plants recently and the soil I used contained gnats so almost all of my plants have them now:(. Luckily, I tend to keep my plants pretty dry, so the infestation hasn’t gotten too out of hand, but I still want them gone. What is the best/safest way? I was going to use a hydrogen peroxide solution, but I’m wondering if top layering would work better. I would prefer to not r”
“You certainly get more insects. My garden is like a timewarp into the 90s because of all the vegetation and wood I leave to break down.”
“Awful beasts. Same as you I put everything outside, but these guys get the business.”

“Ya’ll it’s been real tough trying to go out there in the morning with 90 degree weather IN THE MORNING. Now these buggers harassing me just trying to water and check up on my plants. How can I repel these guys AWAY from me. Recently made a DIY peppermint-soap spray and trying that tomorrow. Might spray it everywhere AND my clothes, I don’t know what else could work. This is really infuriating for my first couple months gardening. Based in Texas, would really appreciate some DIY solutions for thi”

“My frogbit was doing great since I got it, spreading like crazy and lots of good roots. A few days ago, I trimmed the roots and since then some leaves have been browning and dying. I didn't think anything of it since I had just trimmed but I noticed these. Tiny dark bugs concentrating at the rhyzome or whatever the center of the plant is called. You can just barely see them with your eyes, but under a loupe you can see they have obvious legs. I guess some kind of aquatic mite or something? I”

“Thank them, that's the only thing you should do when ladybugs are around. Ladybugs eat aphids, which are one of the most annoying pests ever, so be happy whenever you see them in action.”
“It’s on my cucumber plants. I’m hosting the whole suite of bugs in my raised beds - cucumber beetles, Japanese beetles, stink bug, leafhopper, leaf footed, semi-translucent thin flies, but this one is a mystery to me. I’m in the Northeast if that makes a difference. submitted by /u/MG_haus [link] [comments]”
“I have these decorative plants that I neglected while this infestation was starting. I've since been spraying with neem oil to no visible avail. I'm sure the real solution is to not let it get this bad, but I was curious if anyone has other things I could try before I just yoink the plants. They're starting to cause infestation on plants like my lavender that obviously aren't their favorite, but I think at this point the plants are just seeding these pests to the rest of the gard”
