“I could use the help of someone familiar with bay laurels. I bought some bay laurel trees a year ago at a local nursery, but recently I’ve been trying so hard to find the variety of it. I’m worried that it’s the “Saratoga” variety as I hear that’s popular in my area but it’s not…”
“I planted this using seeds I'm sure of that. However, I forgot what plant was that. And now it's sprouting, I can't remember what it was. It's not a bamboo.”

“Located in New England, and trying to identify this shrub/bush to understand if it’s native & non-invasive, or otherwise! Google identified it as sumac or privet, hoping someone can confirm and then advise what to do with it! submitted by /u/leafiflower [link] [comments]”
“I could use the help of someone familiar with bay laurels. I bought some bay laurel trees a year ago at a local nursery, but recently I’ve been trying so hard to find the variety of it. I’m worried that it’s the “Saratoga” variety as I hear that’s popular in my area but it’s not a true bay laurel. The taste is different and it’s a hybrid. Through all my research I cant figure it out. When using the ai on google it gives me different answers every time. The leaves are not as wide and rounded as S”

“SOLVED! Hi everyone! I recently moved, and we have started prepping our backyard to have lots of gardening space and minimize the grass with other plants as well. These two plants have popped up near the house and need to be moved or removed. I was wondering what they were and if it would be good to keep them and just change location or to remove them completely. Any suggestions or advice would be wonderful! Edit: growing zone 6a :) submitted by /u/Intrepid-Ant2436 [link] [comm”
“This plant was a late volunteer and I let it grow out, out of curiosity. I have this giant fruit (or whatever) that I finally found. Can anyone identify what it might be? My best guess is some kind of butternut squash/zucchini hybrid. submitted by /u/megosaurus_rexx [link] [comments]”

“Hello, This plant is growing on our property and has habe quite wild. Here is a photo of the plant and the vegetable (or fruit?) we picked off it. “I had planted this small tree a few years ago now, due to that. Ive ended up caring about it quite alot, its recently started growing this strange stuff on it, and I dunno what it is. Ive been mainly letting it take care of itself untill now, but I dont want it to die if this is serious, so id appreciate if anyone could help me out (If the photo isnt good enough I can take some better ones a few hours from now) submitted by /u/Space-rosi [link] [comments]”
“Can anyone ID this citrus tree? It started off as a calamansi plant, but it died. Then this grew in its place. I'm assuming the calamansi plant was grafted onto the base of the unknown tree. As for the fruit, it is bitter when green but tastes kind of like lime when it's orange. So I'm wondering if it's also edible? submitted by /u/baskinginthenight [link] [comments]”

“So my plant identifier kinda sucks on my phone, but is this poison ivy? City girl that now has a yard and trying to homestead.ive cut these a few time and they grow right back. It has thorns and pretty much stays green throughout the yr.its growing around my fence and around my blueberry and grape vines. I have a lot of allergies to the outside 🙄 so idk if it is the reason I itch and break out. submitted by /u/Background_Base5032 [link] [comments]”
“Location is Houston. These things keeps shooting up from where my dead around the area where a dead pike tree was. Their roots looks like onion/ginseng which can regenerate themselves very quickly which is the problem because as long I water the grass in this area, they continue reviving like god damn mummy. “Hello y’all, I found this plant growing in a very dead and dry patch of dirt across the street from my house, so I grabbed a trowel and snagged it before it could be killed (my neighborhood has routine lawn maintenance and I know they’d weed wack this thing if spotted). Any ideas on what it could be? Off the top of my head, I’m thinking some kind of pepper plant due to the shape of the mature leaves and the stalks. But after looking closer, the smaller leaves look more tomato in shape, and the b”
“The single one showing in pic 4 that has purple spots is either an overripe tomatillo or a purple variety of either a ground cherry or tomatillo. It’s hard to tell how big it is from your pic since there’s nothing for scale. If it’s a tomatillo it will be very sour. If it’s a ground cherry it’s described as sweet, but I still think they taste sour 😂, just not as intense as a tomatillo. I grew them a couple of years and wasn’t a fan of the flavor raw. Tomatillos are like the size of golf balls,”
“two different plants to ID. first (3 pics) is a squash of some kind. what is it and will it get bigger than this or was this the right time to harvest? there are several more growing. second is a leaf of some kind with leaves that almost grow into a little ball around a seed. a few little flowers as well. it’s growing right next to the squash and kind of intertwined. this is just what popped up in my garden from the previous owners!! i live in gardening zone 6b if that helps.
