“The new neighbors complained about the bushes, so we hired someone to trim them. This year, they've turned their yard into a cornfield and whatever these vines are. Are these vines going to kill my bushes? They're growing super fast. Edit: I don't care about free food. I care…”
“It’s mainly on my raspberry bush but also on my bell peppers, tomatoes, and other plants. I am in Virginia.”
“I was away for one week and came back to this. Happened last Fall as well. My raised beds get overtaken with weeds. What weed is this and what am I doing wrong? What can I do to stop this weed? It’s so aggressive.”
Multiple posts detail common gardening problems, including Virginia creeper removal by neighbors, tomato plant issues (likely disease or nutrient deficiency), mold on bean leaves, and spider mite infestations. Gardeners are seeking advice and solutions for these challenges.

“I’ve noticed that my little guy is wilting slightly and on closer inspection I see these tiiiiiny little creeps encasing themselves with like this web stuff on most of the leaves. Can I get rid of this or is my tomato plant doomed submitted by /u/Tehrisa0703 [link] [comments]”

“Sounds like you’re describing the creeping Charlie in my yard. 4 years after renovating, I still get random patches popping up. 💀😭🫠”
“First year doing any gardening and thought I’d start a pumpkin patch. I’m losing vine after vine, a total of 8/12 pumpkins and all three of my watermelon vines are gone. Does this look like vine borer or possibly something like a gopher/vole? (I live up in the mountains and we do have MANY gophers around, I tried to deter them with castor oil as I was recommended) I’m just unsure which is the culprit here and thought I might get someone with more experience to take a look. submitted by ”

Are these vines going to kill my bushes? They're growing super fast. Edit: I don't care about free food. I care about my irreplaceable bushes dying. We can't get them here anymore and they're 8 ft tall. submitted by /u/ClavierCavalier [link] [comments]”
“I’ve spotted a bunch of small black bugs across my tomato plants- they’ve definitely done some damage, but not terribly. They seem to be leaving my peppers and corn alone- it’s only the tomatoes they’re going for. The plants haven’t fruited yet so I’m not terribly concerned Can anyone identify what they are? And is there some non-chemical way to get rid of them? submitted by /u/Mysterious_Seat_9146 [link] [comments]”
“I first noticed some discolouration in the leaves but we had a gnarly heatwave so I thought maybe it was heat stress but i’ve noticed some tiny specks in the back of leaves and it is getting worse despite the weather improving. I have a small balcony and other plants so I am worried this will spread further (one other tomato plant is also looking the same). I really don’t want to get rid of the plant because its full of blooms and tomatoes but don’t want my other tomatoes and peppers to end up d”
“Been neglecting taking care of business in back yard, should have taken care of this a while ago. But want to know what it is. Growing between fence line with neighbors, not sure if they have something planted there and I'd end up killing it. Central/Southern Texas. submitted by /u/iphone11fuckukevin [link] [comments]”
“I have this white "webbing" on a few of my plants. It's not from a spider, unfortunately. That I'd welcome. I'm surmising this is a pest or a foe. If anyone has tips on what this is, I'd be most grateful! submitted by /u/be-good-to-rivers [link] [comments]”
“I live in Zone 9b, and I just got back from a two week vacation to find my garden infested with these little black bugs. Any ideas what they are or how to get rid of them? Currently all over my tomatoes. submitted by /u/Jalawtoo [link] [comments]”
“About three years ago I put a chain link fence on the only unfenced side of my back yard. It abuts my neighbor's yard. This year, I've been thoroughly enjoying the Virginia Creeper that covered a section of the fence. When I came back from work yesterday the Virginia Creeper had been completely removed. In my mind, the fence is mine completely (it's about 1 foot in from my property edge) and my neighbor was completely wrong in removing it. I've been allowing "weeds" to”
“First year Gardner. I haven’t had any issues, but I just started noticing this on my tomato plants. I’m about to do a soil test and we are about to get a heat wave. I don’t have a fertilizing routine. I did some research about what this could possibly be but it’s hard to tell. Any ideas? submitted by /u/mamabreicheese [link] [comments]”
“I've cut off these leaves as soon as they grew some new ones but even the new ones show the signs of the same thing. My potato plants in the next raised bed also suffered the same fate. How can I help? I already tried baking soda with a dash of dish soap and spraying that mixture submitted by /u/sopefully [link] [comments]”
