“We have this terracotta floors all over our house. Owned the house for 2 years and we don't know the history of what the floors have been through. I'm finally at the stage where I want to invest some time to bring these floors to their former glory. So far my plan is to make baking soda paste (lots of it) apply it to the grout, leave it for 10-15 minutes and then scrub. Supposedly after I'm done with that I should apply a sealant? Would you please recommend products? We are EU based”

“Hello! We've recently moved into a new property where all downstairs is herringbone floor. I have used a microfibre mop and it's cleaning the floors but the floor needs a proper deep clean. There's absolutely no way I can do it on my hands and knees but I can see when I have tried certain areas, the marks do come up really well. Has anyone got any recommendations or suggestions please? submitted by /u/Global_Shake2810 [link] [comments]”

“Hi all, My partner and I recently closed on a gorgeous house with a lot of character. We were originally considering a refinish of the floors after pulling carpet our from the stairs and upstairs hallway. Unfortunately that is very much out of budget! Now we are looking at the best way to clean them up. They're a orange-ish tone from oxidation of the sealant over time - I am hoping to apply a mineral veil or similar down the line. For now, I need ways to clean up after all of the painting an”

“Hello cleaning peeps. My wife and I were very excited to bring our new lab puppy into our home and have been working to housebreak her. We were doing some deeper cleaning of the house today and found a secret pee spot in an area rug. The floor under it is very discolored and it’s probably had the pee rug sitting on it for a week or so. What should we do? We’re renting. submitted by /u/Burritooman [link] [comments]”

“I’m asking this question as I am investigating the cause of my house’s mustiness/smelliness. Single story, 2800 SF. I have two dogs. One occasionally pees on my hardwood floors or laminate floor in washroom. I’ve recently replaced my carpet and I’ve replaced my upholstered sofa with a leather one. I change my air filter regularly. In the dogadvice group, several report hvac duct cleaning was helpful. Personal friends who have done it said it did not help. ChatGPT says the data does not support i”

“So the apartment I'm hoping to get has mainly vinyl laminate but some tile. I'm really struggling to figure out exactly what I need, especially because I have a couple specifications I need to hit. So I have a 14 year old cat, and I think I'd go crazy if my cleaning products ever did her any harm. Also, I have ADHD and really prefer cleaning tools with a low barrier to start (like the least amount of steps needed to get started), to make sure I actually clean frequently. I've loo”

“I’m looking for advice on how to DEEP clean vinyl flooring. I was thinking calling a cleaning floor company so they could blast it for 200 degree water. Is there anything I can do before calling them? I’ve tried scrubbing with a scrub on my hands and knees. I’ve tried different mops and potions. The mop bucket water is no cleaner than before.
