“Hello! I have this small stain from a spilt UV resin craft from a few months ago. Any ideas on how to remove it? I live in an apartment so I really don't want to strip the paint off the sill or scuff it up…”

“Cleaning company used an unknown product on dining room table leaving stains. Very visible when the light catches the stain from the side. Images only show a fraction of what is there. Called to ask what they used but they could not confirm what was used after asking the cleaner. Any guidance would be appreciated. submitted by /u/h2orat [link] [comments]”

“Someone who is to remain nameless (for the sake of my marriage), put a mini pumpkin on our wood kitchen table. It rotted and stuck to the table. When I pulled it off there was some dark gunk on the table. After wiping with water and dish soap it now looks horrendous. I think it’s something on top of the table since it feels a little raised, but wondering if it’s just the wood without the finish. I scraped really gently with a drivers license to see if any little bit came off but nothing did. wha”

“Yesterday posted about the quarter round install in our new floors and everyone was so helpful. Now today we’re noticing this cloud residue all throughout the home. ( they also leftover some glue of some sort too) It looks horrible. Does anyone know what this could be. We tried to rub it off with bona and a soft rag and can’t get it out. submitted by /u/Electronic_Art3836 [link] [comments]”

“Hello! I just got this gaming chair from a garage sale but unfortunately it reeks of smoke and is stained of course, i’ve been using goo off which helps a lot but I wanted to see if there’s anything else I can do to fix the smell and maybe even remove the yellowing. Thank you for any advice! submitted by /u/Calm-Criticism-5935 [link] [comments]”

“We have a wood credenza (pacific madrone wood, if that helps) and something seems to have left a black ring of a stain on it. Any tips for cleaning off wood without further damaging the piece? submitted by /u/Internal-Ad5863 [link] [comments]”

“I’m cleaning out my nightstand drawer, which admittedly has not been deep cleaned in a while. A lot of this stuff just sits there. I noticed this faux leather pouch was stuck to the wood. I already peeled it off slowly, before seeing online that I probably should have applied some heat first? Of course the discoloration won’t go away, but how should I go about cleaning this? submitted by /u/Creative-Property279 [link] [comments]”

“I went to clean behind my bookshelf and noticed these gross black, green, and grey stains in the corner. It’s probably from a leak, because it has been raining non stop the last few days. I tried to clean it with Lysol wipes, and it didn’t work. I tried bleach, and it didn’t work. I tried vinegar, and it didn’t work. Is there anyway to remove the stains? Or is it just permanently messed up? submitted by /u/Ferocious_Kittyrose [link] [comments]”

“last picture is after wiping it down with dawn and warm water, but it’s definitely still on there. is this clean-able or am I going to have to paint it? could I maybe use a finish restorer on it? I’d like to not paint it if possible, but I can. submitted by /u/blabby99 [link] [comments]”

“This chair didn’t have a moving quilt under it when we moved for some reason and the arms got dirt all over. I stupidly applied woolite rather than try to vacuum first. The fabric is called “midland” which has a WS label. Is there any saving this from permanent staining? I know the seat needs a good depilling too. P submitted by /u/jayeeein [link] [comments]”

“Hello everyone! I need advice regarding these stains on my rented apartment’s furniture. These mystery stains show up when the light hits the cabinet. (Which is all day basically.) I presume it is some kind of oil/grease based stain? It was left by the previous tenant, so I have no idea what it could be. I am afraid of damaging it, as it is not my property, so I’ve only tried general cleaning supplies. (Denkmit and Sanytol) submitted by /u/Stock_Strike1471 [link] [comments]”

“HELP!! Im house-sitting my parents’ house while they’re away and I put my head back on the couch cushion only to pick it up and see my hair coloring spray smudged onto the cushions! How can I best take it out!? I wanted to throw it in the laundry with some detergent and bleach then leave it outside to dry. Is that a viable option? I also have these cleaners - I’ve heard the Folex works well. What’s the best way to use it? submitted by /u/Crt827 [link] [comments]”

“I got this old wax pot for free, it still works, but it's got this bad old build up on the sides. Any advice on how to clean it, I did use citrus cleaner that I got specifically for a wax pot, but it doesn't seem to be working. (or my patience ran out too quick) There was wax inside that I was able to remove easily, it's just this gunky build up on the sides that I need to clean off. submitted by /u/Cr4zy_L33 [link] [comments]”

“Hey all. Living with my parents. I recently used car wax on the bathroom sink and shower wall tiles and glass screen. It works phenomenally. Our wooden dining table is sticky from use. It's not a mess thing, its just that its an old, well-loved table, and they get that way when the finish gets worn. Usually this means sanding it back and re-applying a good finish, which is a whole thing. I would like to know if car wax can help with it instead? submitted by /u/Donttouchmybreadd [”

“I have no idea what the sticky stuff is; it feels like 100yds old jelly and it’s on a side table top I acquired from my step-mom who recently passed away. I’ve tried Simple Green, Dawn in warm water… rags, soft toothbrushes… couldn’t really tell that it did much, maybe softened it slightly. Part of the challenge is the surface is textured. I don’t want to harm that, or the colors so thought I’d reach out to you guys before I do something stupid. Thoughts? Suggestions? Bring it on smart people! &”
